Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 408: Chapter 219: For Love, a Fortune Is Light Beside Lawrence

[Star Six]: Yeah, yeah! Want me to draw a picture for you?

[Star Five]: Someone else’s drawings are way better than yours, why would we want yours? Right, Gold-Digger Girl?

[Lawrence~]: Hey, how many times do I have to tell you guys, call me Lawrence. Why don’t you listen? How am I a gold-digger? Sulking.JPG.

[Star One]: Didn’t you introduce yourself as ”Willing to Break Promises for Money”? So isn’t that about not keeping promises for money... How are we wrong calling you Gold-Digger Girl? Laughing.JPG.

[Star Three]: Agree with One! And Gold-Digger Girl sounds so much better; if you don’t want it, give it to me!

[Lawrence~]: You guys are so uneducated. Cute.JPG.

[Star Four]: I’m late! What are you guys talking about? Oh wow! Is this Gold-Digger Girl’s masterpiece? It’s so well-written! How about we all use yours to repost?

[Star Three]: Agree with Four! Gold-Digger Girl, just agree, okay?

[Lawrence~]: ...Well... I’ve changed my online name already, you guys better not call me Gold-Digger Girl anymore, just call me Lawrence. Or else I won’t agree. Pouting.JPG.

[Star One]: Fine, fine! Lawrence it is!

[Star Six]: Lawrence, can you let us use your text?

[Star Two]: ...Why does the name Lawrence sound so familiar?

[Lawrence~]: Of course it’s familiar, ”A promise is worth a thousand gold” is a famous saying from ”The Records of the Grand Historian.” It says, ”Getting a hundred gold is not as good as getting a promise from Ji Bu.” It means a promise from Ji Bu is worth more than a hundred pounds of gold. So ”A promise is worth a thousand gold” means keeping your word, honest and reliable! If you call me Lawrence, I’ll let you guys repost my short piece!

[Star Three]: Oh, oh, oh! Got it! Learned some strange knowledge again.JPG.

[Star Two]: ...Alright, as long as you’re happy.

Soon, the admin and major fans agreed to use the short piece written by ”Lawrence~,” turning it into various templates, spreading widely on social media.

WeChat, Weibo, QQ Space, Douyin, and even overseas on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram.

And the author of that short piece was ”Lawrence.”

Little Eric observed that the situation was already taking shape and moved on to the second step, buying trending spots.

This time, he specifically bought a trending spot for ”Lawrence~,” pushing the short piece complimenting Arthur Johnson’s charity work into the top ten trending spots.

This account was originally an obscure small ID on Weibo, nowhere near as well-known as her big account of the same name in Arthur Johnson’s fan group.

Now, after hitting trending, people found out this person could really write, and the short pieces were moving. The account ”Lawrence~” saw its followers skyrocket.

At the same time, Arthur Johnson’s charity activities also started to become well known to the public.

Most normal passersby are kind and genuine.

Seeing someone doing charity and philanthropy, and being such a famous star doing so much silently, it’s really worthy of praise!

So Arthur Johnson’s followers on Weibo soared as well.

Fans took the opportunity to boost topics one after another.

#ProtectTheBestStarBrother#

#LoveHimShoutItOut#

#ConfessToStarBrother—LoveYouForTenThousandYears#

#LearnCharityFromStarBrother#

#DoCharityWithStarBrother#

These tags and topics went viral, hitting trending every few days.

And ”Lawrence~” became the leading fan of Arthur Johnson on Weibo.

She even took over Arthur Johnson’s super topic. Spending nearly ten hours a day on Weibo, constantly posting short jokes, funny tidbits, and drawing adorable anime artworks.

Turning Arthur Johnson into a comic character with uplifting stories that touch hearts.

And subtly incorporating Arthur Johnson’s charity work into the comics.

For a time, on Weibo, the number one celebrity associated with charity seemed to be ”Arthur Johnson.”

Many passersby had better impressions of him, saying he was not only the top guy in dramas but also in charity!

With this label, lots of charity organizations proactively reached out to him to help shoot charity promos.

Arthur Johnson agreed to all of them gladly and without charging any fees.

So his reputation soared even higher.

As Arthur Johnson’s rapport with the public improved, his fan group also expanded.

Lawrence~ became even more active on Weibo.

She was articulate, could write and draw, and interacted with Arthur Johnson’s fans a lot.

Even posting a ”good morning” on Weibo in the morning would garner tens of thousands of likes, along with thousands of comments and shares, almost rivaling Arthur Johnson’s own popularity.

Everyone with clear eyes could see what Arthur Johnson and his fans aimed to do on Weibo.

Previously, everyone was wary of NewHuman Entertainment Ltd. backing Arthur Johnson, as industry insiders knew that Edward Foster, the young CEO, was a sharp-minded tactician behind a smiling face.

He seemed very easy-going, joking all the time, but once you got on his bad side, he would ”destroy” you until you had no choice but to retire from the circle.

So everyone could only watch Arthur Johnson and his fans coldly, daring not to openly confront him.

Until one day, someone overheard Edward Foster say at a Foster Consortium event that NewHuman Corporation had no intention of helping Arthur Johnson this time, leaving him to fight on his own.

That was it.

Once confirmed that Arthur Johnson was battling solo this time, everyone realized they couldn’t let it slide.

Great resources are sought after by everyone; without substantial backing, you can only fend for yourself.

Shortly after, an entertainment marketing account with millions of followers posted on Weibo, surprisingly asking, ”Look what I’ve found. Are these two people the same?”

Below were two screenshots.

One was of the host ”Lawrence” in Lucas Harlow’s super topic, and the other of the host ”Lawrence~” in Arthur Johnson’s super topic.
