Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 439: Chapter 240: Plans Can’t Keep Up with Changes (First Update)

Kenneth Osborne watched Lawrence Winters’ face turn red like the first batch of pink peaches on a peach tree in spring.

He felt an itch in his hand, reached out and pinched it, laughing, ”You don’t like it?”

Lawrence snapped back to reality and teased, ”It’s not that I don’t like it... But don’t you think it’s a bit redundant?”

Kenneth sat at the edge of the dressing table, arms crossed, smiling at her, ”Why is it redundant?”

”This is your bedroom. Who would casually come into your bedroom?” Lawrence regained her composure, starting to think precisely, ”If it’s a man, does he care if there’s a female presence in your bedroom? Unless he’s gay, but you don’t know any gay men. If it’s a woman, why would she come into your bedroom?”

”So, placing a women’s dressing table in your bedroom, apart from ruining the overall décor, what other purpose does it serve?”

Kenneth: ”...”

Damn! He hadn’t considered these questions at all.

Because his sole purpose was to flirt with Lawrence Winters, letting her know he was ready to live with her.

Kenneth sighed inwardly at Lawrence’s insight, but he also had to realize that despite his efforts, this girl hadn’t been so swept off her feet she was crazy in love; she could still conduct logical analysis and point out the fallacies in his actions. What did that mean?

It meant that in her heart, he hadn’t reached the level of love that would make her lose all sense of reason.

The revolution is not yet complete; comrades still need to work hard!

Kenneth cheered himself on mentally and apologized sincerely, ”It’s my oversight. Actually, my intention was to let you know there’s always a place for you here with me.”

Lawrence: ”!!!”

”Kenneth, you’re shameless! Why should there be a spot for me in your bedroom?! If my mom and uncle find out, what will become of me?!” Lawrence blinked, a bit flustered.

Kenneth: ”...”

He looked at her wistfully, saying, ”...Have you never thought about spending your life with me?”

”I have.” Lawrence blinked, ”But what does that have to do with sharing the same bedroom?”

Then suddenly, as if realizing something, she let out a small ”ah” and covered her face with her hands, embarrassed, ”... I understand now, I didn’t think of it earlier... It’s not your fault... I can consider it, start thinking now...”

Kenneth was both amused and exasperated.

He thought the girl had already grasped it, especially since they’d shared several deep kisses.

But now it seemed she hadn’t fully grasped it.

After today, though, she should understand what being a boyfriend and girlfriend really means.

Kenneth himself was unsure how it had come to this.

In his mind, childhood friendships were supposed to naturally evolve.

But with Lawrence, it seemed there was always a missing link, making her actions somewhat disjointed.

Clearly she liked him and was willing to be with him, but it seemed she hadn’t truly regarded him as a ”boyfriend,” merely as a very good friend.

He had proposed, and she readily agreed.

But now it seemed she hadn’t understood the significance of the proposal, but simply couldn’t resist that Tiffany Princess-set diamond ring she had dreamed of since childhood!

At this point, what could he do?

Of course, forgive her and slowly ”entice” her again.

This intricate and labor-intensive task was one he would do only once in his lifetime, just for her.

Kenneth smiled, appreciating Lawrence’s flustered look, and embraced her neck, kissing her lips, ”I can find you some books on reproductive health education, would you like that?”

”...Uh, I can learn by myself.” Lawrence understood Kenneth’s insinuation. She didn’t actually resist, but she genuinely hadn’t thought of it earlier.

She also pondered why she never connected this matter with her relationship with Kenneth.

Did she actually not like him?

Definitely not; she liked him, liked him very much, and increasingly with a sense of possessiveness.

She also liked kissing him or being kissed by him.

But apart from that, she hadn’t thought about other things.

For someone well-read like her, this was indeed a bit unusual.

Lawrence planned to go back and ponder what was going on with her, but before that, she had to properly comfort Kenneth.

She felt Kenneth looked at her with teary dark eyes, seemingly a bit hurt.

So Lawrence held Kenneth’s hand and said softly, ”When you return for the New Year, we can consider living together, okay?”
