Warhammer Divine Throne

For a Dwarf royal family, this was simply disgraceful, but Komanik always remained silent, quietly supporting her husband.

Seeing Belgar defeated and in a sorry state, Komanik sighed, ”We can’t stay at Sea Gate anymore, Belgar, we’re almost out of money. The rent here at Sea Gate is too expensive, and we won’t be able to stay much longer.”

”We also can’t camp here for long. The Evil Moon Clan is temporarily entangled with the Ratmen, but I know Scasnik; once he defeats the Ratmen, he will definitely send troops to pursue us.” Belgar knew that his queen was saving face for him and hadn’t mentioned his defeat.

As for the matter of cutting his beard, because Belgar wore a helmet all year round, it was difficult for others to see that his beard had shortened.

”We can’t go to Horn Castle again. Last time, King Alek Lufsen helped us out of respect for our ancestors. We can’t go back to ask for his help again; let’s head further west.”

Further west was the Gray Mountain Range, where there were two Dwarf fortresses: Karak Wasteland Castle and Karak Breeze Castle.

Belgar thought for a moment. Whether it was the World’s Roof Mountain Range or the Southern Empire’s Black Mountain Range, he had already sought help from all the Dwarf influences. Having lost the battle, he had no face to see these Dwarf kings again. A King of Eight Peaks who hadn’t ruled an inch of Eight Peaks Mountain, was he still a king?

”Let’s go to Breeze Castle. I know the king there, Rorrek the Granite Hand. He should be willing to offer me some help.” Belgar thought for a long time and finally decided to go to Breeze Castle: ”We won’t enter Sea Gate; let’s head directly to Breeze Castle!”

”Alright.” Komanik knew her husband’s stubbornness was acting up again. Belgar simply didn’t want to enter Sea Gate to be mocked by other dwarfs and preferred going directly to Breeze Castle: ”We won’t stop until we get there.”

”Okay.” Komanik acknowledged, aware of her husband’s insistence on saving face.

...

Mid-May arrived in Brittania, at Count Glamorgan’s domain, Lake Fairy Tower, in the afternoon.

Thick mist was enveloping the elaborately decorated tower, where a four-poster bed was gently rocking. Mogianna was nestled against Laine’s chest, her face full of springtime allure, as she used her fingers to draw circles on the Count’s chest, ”According to my calculations, you still owe me two days.”

”...” Laine nodded, a bit speechless, ”My lady, you are very strict indeed.”

At first, Laine had been busy handling internal affairs and Surya had returned to Helenshield. Before their official wedding, the two would not meet again, as was customary.

Mogiana had waited and, seeing that he hadn’t come for weeks, directly claimed there was something urgent, then asked Laine to come find her.

Lending only to shame, the two spent the entire morning together until Mogiana was completely exhausted, too tired to lift a finger, and she finally released Laine.

They needed to wash up.

”Mmm~” Mogianna was completely lazy, letting Laine pick her up. The two of them went downstairs to the bathroom to take a bath, and Laine contentedly helped the Lake God Witch into a flowy, low-cut dress with floral white lace and placed a golden flower crown on her, holding her on his lap.

A few hours later,

Mojianna learned about the succession changes in the Kingdom and was thinking deeply with her fingers interlaced on her belly. ”Ten thousand people died in the May Chaos Invasion,” she said. ”That’s a great loss for Leonais Duchy.” His hands intertwined across his stomach.

Alderereld is an impulsive young man, and it’s hard to know the effect of his youthful recklessness on the heavily damaged Leonais Duchy.” Mogianna interlaced her fingers below her abdomen, pondering the series of political changes in the Kingdom lately.

Mogianna’s Spirit Rune wings were fully spread, her Spirit Runes completely matured.

”It can’t get any worse.” Laine said offhandedly, also deep in thought: ”What Leonais needs now is this kind of energy.”

”What about Hubeard?” Mogianna continued to ask, ”I know he was involved with the Leonais Duchy too... I’m not sure what impact it would have...”

”Anyway,” Lane replied, he was also pondering, ”The Leonais Duchy needs this kind of vitality right now.”

”What about Hubeard?” Morgiana asked: ”I know he was also involved with the Leonais Duchy... I’m not sure what impact it would have on the heavily damaged Leonais. His youth and vivacity might bring a much-needed change.”

”Hubeard is promising he’ll attend and with Tribe Chief Ivan Ferdinand bringing along Anton Ferdinand.” Lane continued: ”I’ve already sent out invitations to the Duchy’s Grand Nobles, effectively notifying them of my wedding to Surya, set for a few months from now on Lake Fairy’s birthday—Lilith. Lake God Witch Mogiana would attend in person, as well as envoys from the King of the Wood Elves, Olein, and Queen Airel to bless our marriage as the Lake Fairy’s emissaries.

The news of their wedding had nearly shaken all of Brittania and the surrounding regions.

Emperor Carl Franz indicated he would dispatch Great Alchemist from the Imperial Royal Wizard Academy to attend.

The Grand Master Axel Griss of the White Wolf Knight Order said he would bring along the Chosen Champion of the White Wolf God.

The King of the Forest, Olein, and Queen Airel promised to send envoys to his wedding.

The Duke of Montfort said he could send the Beastman Beast King, Ivan Ferdinand, to attend in person, along with Anton Ferdinand.

The Duke of Connet, Lorne-Rio Cornwall, Duke Alderereld of Leonais, Duke Hagen of Jisoleox, Duke Boldro Bodrick of Boldro, Duke Bohemond of Bastogne, and Duke Casvenn of Paragon, who was recently released from the Imperial prison, all planned to be there in person for the event.

The Grand Duke Van der Gubben-Schultz from Marinburg also expressed his intention to attend in person.

Lane’s reputation was thus evidenced, almost shaking the entire Old World with the news of his wedding.

Emperor Carl Franz affirmed he would send the Great Alchemist from the Imperial Royal Wizard Academy to attend.

The Grand Master of the White Wolf Knight Order, Alek Lufsen, declared his intention to bring a gift from the White Wolf God in person.

The King of the Forest, Olein, and his Queen Airel, promised to send delegates to attend the wedding.

The Duke of Connet, Lorne-Rio Cornwall, the Duke of Leonais, Alderrelder, the Duke of Jisoleox, Hagen, the Duke Bohemond of Bastogne, and Duke Casvan of Paragon, recently released from the imperial prison, all announced they would personally be present.

Duke of Marinburg Van der Gubben-Schultz also stated he would be there in person.

Lane’s reputation was clear; his wedding was to shake the entire Old World, with a guest list more magnificent than even Emperor Karl Franz’s wedding a few years back.” Morgiana smiled after hearing all this. ”It will be a spectacle, rivaling even the wedding of Emperor Carl Franz.

”I didn’t mean to create such a grand occasion, but I want Surya to be happy.” Lane said with a wry smile, shaking his head.

Mogianna playfully kicked Lane with her silk-clad foot from under her dress.

However, Lane found himself in a slightly embarrassing position. A few days ago, Francois, when he came to pick up his daughter, also asked for a promise: he wanted to ensure that if anything happened to Laine after the marriage, Surya could still live a marquess’s noble life, unscathed.

That’s a father’s love for his daughter.

No more words were needed, the matter was settled.

”By the way, is it only your brother helping you?” Morgiana asked curiously: ”No one else? It would make the wedding a much less grand event you know?”

”No, there will be many people attending.” Lane smiled and replied, ”Let me keep you guessing. The lineup on my side will be even more impressive.” Lane gave a wry smile. ”But I hope Surya will be satisfied.”
