Warhammer Divine Throne

”Ugh!” Egil was injured again; this was already the fifth wound on his body.

In comparison, Jules’s body was as fresh as new. Besides the torn robe from the whirlwind whipped up by the Hell Battleaxe, there were no other scars, and not a drop of blood had stained the Divine Sword Durandale.

Within fifty meters around this champion duel, there was only dust; not even ruins were left. Every attack between these two Holy Sanctuary powerhouses tore through the sound barrier, the deafening noise echoing continuously through the silent Leonais Castle, proclaiming the supremacy of this champion duel.

The Holy Sanctuary represents the limit of mortals. If the limit of mortals is a circle fixed by the deities, then the Holy Sanctuary is a mortal’s capability reaching the edge of this circle.

Beyond this, to advance further requires the assistance of the deities. Currently, there is only one person in Brittania who transcends this realm: the legendary Green Knight.

If Egil reached this realm through courage and bravery, then Jules reached it through his superior swordplay and speed. Facing Egil’s fierce attack, Jules stood as upright as a javelin, his internal force surging upwards, breaking through the clouds, reaching the heavens.

Kaled, standing on the city wall, had blood-red eyes; all the Brittania Knights and citizens gazed with admiration at Jules’s invincible posture.

In that savage, dark age, Arthur and the first-generation Holy Grail Knights were symbols of justice and hope. It was this group of heroes who, with courage and fortitude, drove away strong enemies, guided the people to light, and restored unity.

Amidst earth-shaking roars, Jules broke through Egil’s defense once again. He charged towards Egil, like a sharp sword, his Longsword slicing through the dark and filthy aura of the Blood God like a meteor, piercing straight into Egil’s right chest, causing a torrent of blood to spurt out, and the golden flames to scorch Egil’s chest.

Have they won? All the knights and citizens had high hopes for the duel’s result.

But they were disappointed.

”Glory to Khorne!!!”

Egil’s towering figure was like the incarnation of the Blood God; with a raised arm, the clouds moved. As the Blood God Champion roared, it was as if the earth was shaking and the mountains trembling; the imposing and overwhelming momentum was like a thunderbolt on a clear day, invincible by tens of thousands!

Relying on a force strong enough to make the mountains and rivers flow backward, Egil not only didn’t retreat, but he lifted his War Axe, sweeping across. Jules’s all-out strike had pierced his right chest, this insignificant wound leaving the Holy Grail Knight Commander wide open.

The Hell Battleaxe Gam, in Egil’s left hand, swept across, directly hitting Jules’s helmet. Despite Jules desperately avoiding the vital points, Egil’s full-force strike still hit effectively.

The helmet shattered, the statue of the golden Fire Dragon burst into fragments, revealing the face beneath. Sharp iron fragments scratched Jules’s cheeks, the Longsword drawn out, Egil’s blood spurted, staining his armor red.

This desperate strike left both men seriously injured, but clearly, Egil’s wound was more severe. The Brittania people stopped cheering and looked at Jules with concern, paying attention to his condition.

In the arena, neither of them showed any signs of pain or resentment; instead, they wore a mutual admiration smile, a recognition between martial artists. Jules’s eyes still contained the cold fury from the Lake God. He calmly prayed to the Lake Fairy, telling his Lady that he would dedicate the victory to her. Egil spat out lightly; he was delighted to choose Jules as his opponent. Only the head of such a strong enemy was worth collecting, and would add new glory to Khorne’s Brass Throne.

Clearly, this champion duel couldn’t simply stop there. Egil gripped the War Axe tightly with both hands, and his body began to spin; this was his most proud combat skill.

Tornado Slash!

The boundless whirlwind attack closed in on Jules, the steel torrent of the dual axes continuously impacting Jules’s defense. Each strike nearly broke the Knight Commander’s original standing point. Under Egil’s fierce assault, Jules struggled to hold his ground, his robe sliced into strips by the axe blades, Durandal’s sword blade taking several hits every second.

At the critical moment, Jules suddenly moved, twisting his body at an incredible angle, holding the sacred Longsword in a reverse grip, bypassing the attack range of the Tornado Slash, slashing down from above with the momentum of Mount Tai.

”Thud~ Crack~” Durandal pierced through Egil’s face, the sword tip penetrating several inches deep.

The Tornado Slash stopped.

Have they won?

Jules saw the cold smile on Egil’s face.

The Divine Chosen Champion of Khorne clenched his fist, and an explosive force struck directly at Jules’s chin. The Holy Grail Knight Commander let out a scream, being blasted several meters high and more than thirty meters away by Egil, landing crumpled on the ground.

In the blink of an eye, Egil had appeared in front of Jules. The Holy Grail Knight Commander managed to raise his sword to defend, but Durandal was knocked away by the battleaxe. Just as Egil was about to pursue his victory, a bright Divine Light emanated from Jules, an intensely annoying dazzling light that Egil could feel, scorched his skin, and made him unable to open his eyes, forcing him to retreat.
