Warhammer Divine Throne

”Prepare for battle! Prepare for battle!” The sound of cannons is not a bluff. No matter what, the noble Chosen of Khorne will face formidable foes and emerge victorious.

”Toot~ Toot~” The horn echoes, and after a night of revelry, a faint white light appears in the sky. The warriors of the Skalings, having indulged in some revelry, are not at all affected in their combat prowess. All the Barbarians are ready to face the enemy.

From the horizon’s end, a massive Knight Corps appears in front of the Skalings Tribe. They are dressed splendidly, with flags flying, mounted on fierce steeds, in neat formation. The Standard Bearer at the front is undoubtedly a Holy Grail Knight. He wears a yellow and blue tabard, beneath which are shining Dwarf Secret Silver Plate Armor. The golden chalice cloak gently flutters in the morning breeze, and on the tall banner is a family crest the Barbarians have never seen before.

This crest is red and white, a sharp sword piercing through a book, with a golden chalice emblem in the center. Two long ribbons extend from either side of the shield emblem, with a Count’s coronet above it.

”It seems we are late; Leonais has already turned into ruins.” Laine, riding atop the Pure-blooded Elf Warhorse Grapes, softly says to his Standard Bearer Armand, ”I wonder if there are any survivors.”

”But now, we must defeat the enemy in front of us!” Laine picks up his warhammer.

Not long ago, his army defeated the Vampire forces of Musillon. While marching near Leonais, Laine sensed a terrifying Chaos Storm raging in the Subspace. He immediately understood that some Great Power of Chaos must be conducting a sinister ritual, or a Chaos Great Demon had emerged.

Laine immediately led the Knight Army straight to the source of the Chaos Storm.

Now the Barbarian Army’s camp is right in front of him. Not far away is Leonais Castle, engulfed in smoke with collapsed gates.

Laine knew he might be late, but he had no choice. Mathew Bade summoned over fifty thousand zombies and Skeleton Army to hinder his army. Laine had to spend some time defeating them. Seeing his plan succeed, Mathew Bade immediately retreated to Musillon.

Moreover, due to Dalheid’s hesitation, Laine’s army never received permission to enter the Leonais Duchy. It was only after the castle was under siege that they hurriedly arrived, already anticipating that they might be too late. However, the Barbarian army must be annihilated on the spot, or else it will pose endless threats.

”For the Lady, for Brittania, fire!!” Laine then ordered, and the Dwarf Cannons roared, shattering the last bit of hope in Egil’s heart. In the blink of an eye, hundreds more Barbarian Warriors died under the cannon fire of the Dwarf Cannons.

There are indeed Dwarves!

The Barbarian Army quickly forms a battle array on the plains. Egil entrusts his son to his trusted Chaos Champion Hardorn, then picks up the Hell Battleaxe and walks to the front of the two armies.

He sees Laine’s banner, and Egil is thoughtful, ”I recognize you, Laine Macado, Divine Chosen Champion of the Lake Pseudo-God. It was you who killed the ’Crushing Bear’ Bireg. In recent years, you have done great deeds; your name is known even in the wastelands.”

”I also recognize you. You are the King of the Skalings, ’Red Eye’ Egil Steelbjorn, Chosen of Khorne.” Laine smiles. He was once a Kingdom Knight of the Nord Kingdom, so he has no reason not to recognize Egil. The Skalings raid Nord once every few years.

”Jules’s head is right here with me, and you will be next.” Egil dismissively points to the head of the Holy Grail Knight Commander hanging from his armor, ”Knights, are you here to court death as well?”

The Knight Army shakes at the sight of Jules’s head, and fear rises thick in many hearts.

Laine raises his warhammer, signaling everyone to be quiet. Although he’s deeply shocked, he remains calm: ”You defeated Jules?”

”I once thought this was the most precious gift I could offer to the Throne of Khorne, but now it’s not.” Egil sneers, raising the Hell Battleaxe, pointing it directly at Laine: ”Your head is.”

”Heh.” Laine also sneers.

”I wonder how that one-legged fool sitting on the Brass Throne will react when he loses his Chosen Champion?”
