Warhammer Divine Throne

”Laine!” Surya was wielding her sword to slay a Barbarian Warrior, and seeing Laine engulfed in flames, she couldn’t help but cry out in alarm.

Black and red flames burned around Laine, drawing the eyes of everyone on the battlefield to the fight between Laine and Egil.

Laine did not disappoint the knights. He tore through the black and red flames effortlessly, his eyes filled with pale blue Spiritual Vortex. He raised his hand towards Egil: ”Spiritual Storm!”

The Spiritual Storm lightning, as thick as a barrel, struck Egil directly, causing his skin to peel. The storm burned Egil’s entire body, leaving him bloodied and battered, and Scalings’ king let out a piercing scream as the lightning scorched him.

But he endured. In this extreme pain, Egil overcame the sensations of the flesh, directly charging at Laine despite the Spiritual Storm. His Hell Battleaxe was used to fend off the storm’s attack and couldn’t move, but he still had his body!

Barbaric Charge!

Egil’s head slammed into Laine’s chest. Laine had no time to react before being hit. The Hell Battleaxe then struck his chest. Laine was immediately injured, knocked back more than ten meters, his head hitting the rocks on the coast with a blood-splattered crash, blood gushing from his mouth: ”Ugh~”

The Divine Chosen Champion of the Lake Fairy was left dizzy from the impact. He barely stood, reaching up to wipe the blood away, only to look up and see a horrifying sight.

The wounds on Egil’s body were healing entirely, the blessing from Khorne rapidly mending him. In the blink of an eye, the blood-covered Egil was fully healed and now striding toward Laine.

”Mortal, you are strong and brave,” Egil took large strides toward Laine. ”But ultimately, you cannot comprehend the superiority of the true Deities. At the bloody end lies rewards unfathomable to mortals. I have received my master’s Oracle, Laine Macado. If only you would submit, dedicate your loyalty and honor to the Blood God, demonic ascension is within reach.”

”Demonic ascension?” Laine sneered inwardly. Did he not know what demonic ascension was about?

For Chaos Cultists, demonic ascension is indeed the highest reward, as it meant their power would be directly elevated to the peak of the Holy Sanctuary by the Evil God, gaining immortality and eternal life, truly rising from mortals to become underlings of the Chaos Four Gods, somewhat favored by the Evil God.

This is an unimaginable reward for mortals.

But to Laine, these things held no allure. On the contrary, after demonic ascension, life and death would be fully controlled by the Evil God.

Egil approached slowly, intending to say more.

Directly in his face came a mouthful of bloody spittle. With a disdainful expression, Laine spat at Egil’s face, then swung his warhammer, seizing the chance while Egil attempted negotiation, and struck his right cheek.

”@%#%&*!(Profanity)”

Scalings’ king’s face was hammered into a mess, several large teeth flying out of his mouth.

”Ahhh! Die!” Egil was genuinely infuriated now. He headbutted Laine’s warhammer with his axe, and the Champion of Khorne’s voice transformed into an endless whirlwind of fury.

Tornado Slash!

”Clang clang clang~” Laine’s face twisted in rage as he unleashed all his power. The golden warhammer improbably withstood Egil’s mighty attack, and another Spiritual Storm directly struck Egil’s body, covered in lightning that forced him to halt his offensive.

At this moment, Laine was also forced to the cliff’s edge along the coast.

Egil’s mouth curled into a bloodthirsty smile as he raised his right arm, the blood of the Hell Battleaxe flashing, accompanied by an earth-shattering roar.

”Execute!”

The Golden Griffin Warhammer that had accompanied Laine for nearly ten years shattered into countless pieces with the roar.
