Warhammer Divine Throne

”Clang!” Laine swiftly raised his warhammer to block Egil’s fierce assault. At this moment, the Divine Chosen Champion of Khorne had left himself open due to a series of spear attacks, and seeing this, Laine gripped his Golden Griffin Warhammer tightly. After parrying Egil’s attack, he swung his warhammer to launch his own counterattack.

Egil’s Hell Battleaxe was deflected, and Laine’s eyes turned crimson. He held the warhammer with both hands, drawing it back over his head.

”What?!” Egil had not yet recovered his strength when the golden warhammer struck him squarely in the face.

This blow was tremendously powerful, sending the King of the Skalings flying over a meter away on impact. His helmet shattered, revealing the face underneath.

”Crack!” Egil’s left cheek took the full force of the Griffin Warhammer. With a harrowing scream, his face was crushed into a cavity by the massive force, sending two teeth flying out of his mouth, blood spattering everywhere.

Seeing this, Laine wanted to capitalize on his advantage, but the Divine Chosen Champion of Khorne quickly launched a brutal counterattack. Egil’s left-held Hell Battleaxe slashed directly at Laine’s flank.

Laine seemingly had eyes in the back of his head, swiftly evading the attack, making Egil miss once again.

After several such exchanges, Egil felt himself losing his sanity.

”Despicable Southern People! Only know how to survive by cunning!” Egil, experiencing extreme anger, shouted at Laine, ”It’s useless; I will capture you, defeat you, and tear you to shreds! Mere dodging will not bring victory, prepare to die!!!”

”Consistently failing to hit me won’t grant you victory either, Chaos Scrap.” Laine taunted Egil with a laugh, ”Champion of the Blood God, you can’t even land a hit on me, how do you speak of victory?”

Laine and Angerong had practiced against each other countless times. Egil was indeed formidable, but in Laine’s eyes, his attacks were traceable and not so difficult to dodge.

The battle reached a stalemate, as the combat between the Champions of the Deities resembled a dazzling spectacle. Egil’s fierce attacks flowed like a storm of steel, axe blades spinning, ripping through space, with a giant blood-red demon’s voice faintly echoing behind him, exuding an awe-inspiring bloody prowess as if he were the Blood God’s avatar descending into the world.

Laine moved like a nimble phantom, precisely avoiding Egil’s continuous assault, then seeking opportunities for counterattacks. Although Egil attacked ten times to every single counter Laine made, from start to finish, the initiative of the battle remained in Laine’s hands.

On the battlefield, the Barbarians were already collapsing; now the last three thousand Barbarian troops were steadily retreating towards the shore, preparing for a deadly last stand, awaiting the Knights’ final charge.

”Die! Die! Die!” Egil and Laine’s battle persisted.

Yet, Egil was unable to best Laine, his heart aflame with urgency. His grip on the battleaxe unknowingly intensified, yet Laine continued to evade his attacks. In contrast, Laine’s warhammer left a deep gash on Egil’s shoulder armor.

Impossible. As it stands, Laine Macado’s skill seems even inferior to Jules! Egil’s feelings churned with frustration and madness. Why can’t I land a hit on him?

Because the speed is insufficient!

Why is the speed insufficient?

Because the power is too strong!

Understood, this Southern person before me is infuriating me!

Egil immediately realized that it was Laine’s strategy. By inciting anger, Egil unwittingly increased his power, causing his speed to decrease.

Thus, in their next clash, Egil finally met Laine head-on, their battleaxe and warhammer clashing, sparking fiercely. As Egil’s second blow landed on Laine, Laine also realized Egil had seen through his tactics.

And so the Champions of each of their respective Deities finally clashed directly.

Now, in the eyes of everyone on the battlefield, the two Divine Chosen Champions appeared before all present.

Egil’s towering figure wielding dual axes seemed like the embodiment of the Blood God’s will walking among men. Each movement transformed into a whirlwind of death and a torrent of steel, launching a series of deadly assaults at Laine.

Laine raised his warhammer high, his expression fierce, as if he were the manifestation of the Lake God’s will in the Mortal World. Amidst the steel torrent-like assaults of the Blood God’s Divine Chosen Champion, the Lake God’s Champion showed no fear, his two-handed warhammer tracing golden arcs, flashing with thunder, continuously dispelling Egil’s frenzied onslaught.

”Die! Die!” Egil controlled his anger, his dual axes moving as swiftly as lightning, attacking Laine’s warhammer over a dozen times in a single breath, battering Laine nearly into a posture of humility, as his arms gradually succumbed to numbness under Egil’s relentless barrage, starting to struggle to maintain his grip on the warhammer.

Lord Jules... was faced with such a powerful adversary before? Laine gritted his teeth, channeling power into his warhammer, and as Egil’s offensive briefly halted, he first struck downwards, landing squarely on Egil’s wrist, then reversed with a sweep.

The head of the warhammer slammed into Egil’s chest, causing the Divine Chosen Champion of Khorne to cough up a mouthful of blood. He retaliated by hitting Laine’s right shoulder with the Hell Battleaxe.

Both duelists suffered injuries, but Egil indisputably recovered faster. The Divine Chosen Champion of Khorne bellowed furiously and then unleashed Khorne’s flames from his battleaxe towards Laine. The black and red flames, imbued with filthy Chaos Energy, entirely engulfed Laine.
