Warhammer Divine Throne

At this rate, he was destined to lose. Every grueling battle with Egil inflicted some damage on him, draining his strength. If this continued, Laine would sooner or later end up beheaded by Egil, just like Jules.

I cannot die here. After taking care of him, I must return to the territory to get married! Laine gritted his teeth; his thigh was injured, and there was a cut from the axe blade on his shoulder, bleeding profusely. His chest was covered in axe blade marks.

Laine did not possess the ability to heal quickly. Seeing this, he immediately took out the berry wine given by the Wood Elf. The clear wine was drunk by Laine, and the acorn pulp of the Era Oak and the Spring of Life gave Laine strength. His body began to recover, and his wounds started to heal.

The berry wine wouldn’t always be effective. He could only drink it once until his body completely overcame its resistance, which would take several months... or even years.

Meanwhile, Laine began to recall Angerong’s teachings to him. To kill the Champion of Khorne before him, the advice of the former Prince of Khorne would certainly be useful.

”My brother, rage is a strength. It makes us powerful, enabling us to unleash even more formidable attacks.” Angerong had said this to Laine by the Xinong River.

Rage is strength.

”However, although rage gives us strength, we are not necessarily able to control it well. The vast majority of people are only driven by rage. They don’t understand what they are doing, what they should do, and merely fight based on primal instincts. That means you are being controlled by rage, rather than you controlling it.”

”When you control your rage, use it. Concentrate it, transform it into your strength, then use your rage to drive your strength and cut down your enemy’s head in one swift action!”

This was Angerong’s teaching.

Laine immediately attempted it. He charged forward, his exquisite swordsmanship and ghostly figure turning into a mass of light and shadow. The blood-colored power on Egil’s body surged higher and higher. Laine attempted a beheading once again, and Egil sneered.

Blood God’s power!

The dazzling blood-red axe blade whirlwind once again forced Laine back. After a fierce battle, Laine was left with another wound on his shoulder, while Egil also suffered injuries to his wrist and waist.

As always, Egil healed all his wounds once more.

”Laine, my Champion, you’ll die if this continues.” The voice of the Lake Fairy echoed in Laine’s mind, her tone filled with urgency and concern: ”You must find a way to kill Egil directly. If you keep going like this, you will fail just like Jules. You cannot die, Laine. I will not allow you to fall like this.”

”I understand, my Lady. I am looking for an opportunity.” Laine remained calm, channeling his rage into the Goddess of Revenge, his mind maintaining clarity.

”Egil’s infinite regeneration comes from Khorne’s Blessing. Currently, we have no way to dispel this blessing, but Jules’s failure still left us with valuable experience.” The Lake Fairy said to Laine: ”Have you noticed that Egil always waits until the interval after an intense battle to begin healing his wounds?”

”Indeed, that’s the case.” Laine had an epiphany, his eyes suddenly brightening: ”I understand, Egil cannot fight and heal at the same time.”

”Precisely so.” The Lake Fairy continued: ”Too many have already perished in this invasion. Too many lives have been lost, but the damage they caused will never disappear. Egil and his Dark Sons must not return to the Northern Wasteland. Laine, you need to unleash enough damage all at once, forcing Egil to stop and heal himself, then seize the opportunity when he releases Khorne’s Blessing to decapitate him!”

After saying this, Laine suddenly felt the Holy Grail Engraving on his body light up. The Lake Fairy blessed him, helping him recover his strength.

”My Lady?”

”Let’s not say too much between us, Laine.” The Lake Fairy said gently: ”Eliminate our enemy!”

”Hmm, no need to say more.” Laine gripped the long handle of the Goddess of Revenge tightly.

He already had a plan.

Let’s begin!

The battle continued, and Laine’s attack patterns changed.

He no longer dodged, nor was he cautious. Instead, unprecedented rage converged throughout his body. The sword’s blade of the Goddess of Revenge, burning with white flames, was like a raging giant dragon. Laine did not hesitate to exchange injuries, slicing open deep wounds down to the bone on Egil’s neck, chest, shoulder, abdomen, and thigh.

As the price, the Divine Chosen Champion of the Lake Fairy was also drenched in blood. Egil’s Hell Battleaxe had already savored Laine’s blood five times.

”It’s not over yet!” Laine’s face twisted into a snarl, his eyes bloodshot. Gripping the Goddess of Revenge with one hand, he raised the other, unleashing a powerful Spiritual Storm again.

No less than five barrel-thick Spiritual Lightnings struck Egil’s body, causing Skalings’ King to erupt with waves of wails as he crossed his Hell Battleaxe over his chest, defending against the power of the Spiritual Storm.

”Pa!” The five-second Spiritual Storm ended. Egil shattered the lightning entwining him, releasing a roar akin to an ancient Fierce Beast, ready to charge at Laine.

”It’s not over yet!!” What appeared before Egil was an entirely silver Light Spear.

This silver Light Spear was thrown from Laine’s hand, transforming into a shower of destruction, directly flying towards Egil.
