Warhammer Divine Throne

Laine frowned, his warhammer was shattered, and he needed a new weapon. The Goddess of Revenge was a hand half sword, often unsuitable against heavily armored enemies, so he also needed a new warhammer.

”That’s the master-level rune lord of Karaz-a-Karak, Clark the Harsh.” Delong pushed the blueprint back to Laine and Angerong: ”If it’s him, he can definitely make it.”

”Can we ask him to forge weapons for us?” Angerong was hopeful again; he desperately needed a weapon that suited him.

”It’s difficult. Clark the Harsh is a dwarf rune lord and the president of the dwarf rune craftsman association. He’s over a thousand years old and hasn’t descended the mountain in over five hundred years.” Dwarf engineer Dugen the Ironman was drinking mushroom soup, speaking somewhat unclearly: ”He’s stubbornly difficult to tolerate. Do you have anything that could make him come down?”

”Isn’t this blueprint enough?” Laine pointed at the blueprint on the table: ”We are willing to share the technology of making this weapon freely with our dwarf friends.”

”Oh! There’s probably a thirty percent chance.” Rune craftsman Delong Feinson smiled. After seeing the blueprint, the dwarf craftsmen had already decided they wanted Laine to share it. He was worried about how to ask for it when Laine offered: ”But it’s still not enough, Lord Laine. As a friend of the dwarves, you must understand that dwarves do not work only for raw materials.”

The implication was that dwarves still needed to be paid for their work.

Laine and Angerong exchanged glances, luckily they were prepared.

”Ding~” A large cloth bag was grabbed by Angerong and placed on the table.

Inside were all golden oath gold, appearing to be one or two hundred pieces!

”Is this enough?” Angerong tried asking.

”...Mr. Angerong, where did you get so much oath gold?” Delong and Dugen both gaped.

”Found it. Laine went on an expedition, and I cleaned up the Gray Mountain Range.” Angerong pulled out a few green-skinned warlords’ heads.

”...Mr. Angerong, I think if you had been there back then, Eight Peaks Mountain wouldn’t have fallen.” Dugen seemed to recall a sad event, drinkings Bagman Beer with slurred speech: ”You brothers are really something~ Lord Laine killed Khorne’s divine chosen champion Egil, shocking the Old World, and Mr. Angerong, you easily kill green-skinned warlords. I’ve always wondered just who your father is?”

”Haha~ With so much oath gold, it should be enough, right?” Angerong didn’t answer the dwarf’s question; he only focused on his axe.

”It’s enough. With this much, Master Clark will definitely come down from the mountain. All the bearded folks know that Master Clark is famously stubborn. His stubbornness ensures he won’t descend without sufficient conditions, but his stubbornness is enough to make him come down immediately upon seeing these goods.” Delong noticed Angerong didn’t want to talk and, as a dwarf rune craftsman, took over: ”You really have it, Mr. Angerong. Rest assured, if Master Clark takes action, the weapon you want will certainly be made.”

”Great!” Angerong finally nodded with satisfaction: ”Just trouble you to notify him.”

After the discussion, everyone relaxed and continued drinking. Angerong clearly preferred Kislev’s strong spirits and dwarf dark beer; thus, Bagman Beer very much suited his taste. Angerong even spent money to buy several barrels to take back and drink slowly. The World-Devourer Primarch had raided several green-skinned fortresses, accumulating incredible wealth, sometimes making Laine wonder if Angerong was wealthier than himself.

”Earning isn’t as fast as robbing.” This was Angerong’s saying: ”If you need money, just come to me, brother.”

Laine had no particular preference for alcohol; whether it was beer, wine, or wood elf fruit wine, he could appreciate them all.

Amelia couldn’t handle it. The young maid, just over twenty years old, took a small sip, cringing her pretty face. Though Bagman Beer was refreshing, its high concentration made it tough for Amelia to drink.

”Amelia, can’t handle it?” Laine chuckled, holding Amelia’s little hand: ”If you can’t, then don’t drink.”

”Uh~ Sorry, I can’t handle it much.” Today, Amelia wore a silk glossy colorful translucent princess knee-length dress and a goose-yellow chiffon shirt. The girl tied her golden hair into a pretty princess hairstyle. She was initially delighted to be out alone with Laine, but now she really couldn’t handle this beer or the dwarf cuisine.

”No problem, Miss Amelia.” Laine wanted to say something more, but Delong laughed heartily: ”If you can’t handle it, I’ll have the bartender pour some butterbeer, tell him to use less salt in the food.”

”No need, it’s okay.” Laine shook his head, holding Amelia’s hand, took out a bottle of wood elf fruit wine and wood elf fruit jam bread: ”Amelia, have this instead.”

”Mm! Thank you, Laine!” Amelia was very happy, elegantly nibbling, maintaining noble etiquette, which seemed a little out of place in the dwarf bar. Seeing this, Dugen laughed repeatedly: ”Is this the sharp-eared stuff? It reminds me of a story from the history books, which is during the Battle of Longbeard... You humans record it this way; we prefer to call it the War of Revenge. In short, before this war, when the elves and dwarves were allies, the elven ambassador brought a barrel of the finest elven wine to the Eternal Peak to offer to the Supreme King, representing their friendship. His Majesty the Supreme King, in return, gifted the ambassador the finest dwarf dark beer.”
