Warhammer Divine Throne

The last Chaos Mammoth War Elephant just fell, its face hit by the Dwarf cannon and it died on the spot.

”Brittania people! Despicable, shameless! Like a group of disgusting termites! They refuse honorable close combat and only know how to use cannons and muskets, hiding behind their solid formations to shoot! Since that’s the case, let’s break their formation and challenge the Lake Pseudo-God’s Chosen Champion to a duel!” Egil signaled the remaining Barbarian army to follow him.

”Glory to Khorne!”

”Blood!!”

Within the central army of the Knight army, Armand noticed Egil’s appearance: ”Count, Egil and his Crimson Guard have appeared.”

”The battle is starting to turn in our favor.” Laine whispered, having already noticed Egil and his Crimson Guard’s appearance: ”Egil is very powerful, order the soldiers, continue to retreat!”

”Yes!”

The central army, with the help of the Knights, had already repulsed the Barbarian vanguard. After receiving the order, all the Infantry began to slowly retreat, luring Egil and the remaining Barbarian army to continue attacking.

The Chosen Champion of Khorne knew this was Laine’s trap, but he had no choice, as the Barbarian army’s cavalry and Chaos Mammoth War Elephants were all but lost, the Chaos Hell Cannon destroyed in the previous siege, and hundreds of Chaos Dwarfs already killed by the Skalings.

”Directly attack the central army!” Egil once again made the same plan as before, which was to strike directly at the central army and attack the enemy’s command.

Under the volley of the Dwarf cannons, the Crimson Guards blew the horn of the Skalings.

The bleak and tragic horn sounded across the plains in the early morning, by then nearly two hours had passed since the start of the war. The Barbarians had already fallen into severe disadvantage on the battlefield. However, when the horn of the King of Skalings sounded, almost all the Barbarian soldiers were reinvigorated, gathering once again under the black Chaos Octagonal Array Banner, the Blood God Khorne Eight Pillar Emblem Banner, and the Skalings Sail Banner, launching a countercharge against the Knight army.

”Hold steady!” Laine personally led the most elite warriors in the central army to withstand the Barbarian’s assault. The Count rode on his horse, swinging his Warhammer, knocking three Chaos Warriors flying, and the Barbarians immediately realized Laine was the enemy commander—his luxurious Spiritual Masterwork Power Armor, without a helmet and the Holy Grail Knight Commander’s Badge on his chest revealing his identity.

”Forward! Soldiers of Brittania!” Laine crushed a Chaos Warrior’s head with one strike, then raised his Warhammer: ”Let us unite, use our cavalry lances and swords, let us crush these filthy enemies, defend the Lady’s land, defend the Kingdom! For the Lady!”

”For the Lady!” At the call of the Holy Grail Knight Commander, the Lake Fairy Chosen Champion Count Laine, even the Peasant Infantry let out hoarse cries of rage.

Indeed, the Peasant Infantry were humble, receiving little military training and lacking combat strength, yet even the most cowardly and weak-willed of them can unleash astonishing strength and courage in desperation.

More importantly, Count Laine promised that if they could achieve astounding merits in war, even a Peasant could be knighted.

A Knight is an honorary title, attainable by both nobles and commoners, though in reality, very few Peasants attain the title of Knight. Count Laine is a Holy Grail Knight, and his words are not empty promises, how could this not drive the Peasants and Sergeants to madness?

”Charge!!” The newly trained Long Halberd Legion and a large group of sergeants clashed with the Barbarian army, creating a chaotic scene.

Egil had just charged into the formation, killing several Infantry with his two axes. He was planning to advance toward where Laine was, to engage in a true champion duel, but the tremors in the ground and the continuous horn sounds from afar forced Egil to abandon his plan.

The thunderous sound of hooves came from all directions, the King of Skalings’ hearing drowned by the horns and hoofbeats from every direction. Egil, seated on the Chaos Steel Bull, suddenly sensed something ominous.

On the left flank, Hubert’s army of Knights had reformed, the Expedition Knights undeterred, charging again toward the Barbarian central army, their fury sweeping across the plains, ceasing only when every Barbarian is annihilated.

On the right flank, the Chaos Champion Hardorn’s Barbarians were retreating; they were evidently unable to withstand Sir Houlf leading five thousand heavy cavalry.

And right at the rear of the Barbarian army, a fresh Knight force was joining the battlefield.

This army, led by Count Kaled of Galament, consisted of over four thousand cavalry charging from the rear of the Barbarian army. The Golden Iris military banner and the Lion Shield banner symbolizing Leonais rippled in the air, forming a new steel wall encircling the Barbarian army on all sides. The leveled cavalry lances formed a dense forest of spears, their sharp points carrying the Knights’ wrath, rolling towards the Barbarian army in the center.

Leading them, Count Kaled looked frenzied, almost recklessly charging into the rear of the Barbarians, each sword stroke killing at least two Barbarian Warriors, heedless of his own safety, as were the Knights he led.

”Chaos scum! Die!”

”It’s Kaled! It seems Leonais has not fallen!” Laine shouted excitedly, seeing Kaled leading over four thousand heavy cavalry in aid, as he charged within the Barbarian army atop Grape: ”This battle, we’ve won.”
