Warhammer Divine Throne

”You think you can defeat me like this? You think you can kill me like this?” Egil took a deep breath and spun in place, once again unleashing his signature move.

Tornado Slash!

”Ding ding ding~” The Light Spears were shattered consecutively by the Tornado Slash of the Champion of Khorne.

Laine gasped heavily, a series of frantic strikes, continuously releasing spiritual energy, with many wounds on his body bleeding. He was already close to his limit.

As the Tornado Slash ended, Egil, bathed in blood, paused. He looked at the Light Spear lodged in his arm and nonchalantly pulled it out. The Champion of Khorne was completely berserk now, swinging both axes straight at Laine’s neck and chest, vowing to kill him outright.

But Laine was even more mad than Egil, crazily resuming the fight with two swords, this desperate stance made Egil feel deep respect; this was the true champion duel, the epic battle!

All the life of the Champion of Khorne was in pursuit of such a duel, now he got it.

However, Laine was already at the end of the crossbow, and as the sword edge and ax blade clashed again, Egil felt Laine’s power weakening. Clearly, even the Lake Fairy Chosen Champion and Holy Grail Knight had reached their limit.

Indeed, Holy Grail Knights are powerful, but how much blood can they shed?

Ultimately, he couldn’t understand the superiority of the Northern God, he couldn’t grasp the glory and supremacy of Khorne. Since that’s the case, he’d give him an honorable death; this man was a hero, Egil genuinely admired his strength, he respected this opponent.

A few more rounds into the battle, Egil seized the opportunity, kicking Laine away. Laine landed not far away, seemingly unable to get up for the moment.

”Laine! No!” Witnessing such a scene, many in the knight army wailed incessantly, Teresa and Veronica wanted to use spells to aid Laine, but were desperately obstructed by the Chaos Mage Chakoy. This Chaos Mage didn’t hesitate to turn himself to ashes to create a firewall to stop the two witches from approaching: ”Don’t even think~about getting close!”

”No, impossible!” Surya, amid the chaos, noticed Laine’s fall, the female knight shook her head repeatedly: ”Impossible, Laine won’t lose.”

Others were too far away.

”What a pity, you are truly outstanding, your head will be coated in gold and treasured forever.” Egil suddenly felt a bit dejected, ever since arriving in Brittania, he had successively killed several Holy Grail Knights, slain Jules, and now he would defeat the Lake Fairy Chosen Champion Laine.

There was nothing left to linger for, it was time to return to Scalings.

Upon finishing his words, Egil’s wounds began to heal automatically again.

”It’s not over yet!” Just as Egil’s attention slightly shifted, Laine had already climbed up from the ground and took a long fire cannon from his Space Ring.

This was the weapon gifted to him by Count Albert of Mijordenhaven, the rune fire cannon—Demon-Extinguishing Golden Flame.

”What?”

”Boom! Boom! Boom!” Laine pulled the trigger, firing the Demon-Extinguishing Golden Flame three times, spraying large rune shells and flames from the fire cannon, enveloping Egil’s body.

The healing of the wounds was interrupted, the Champion of Khorne shrieked retreatingly, with dozens of wounds on Egil’s body bleeding, being hit consecutively by the rune shells. His body was also at its limit, knowing he must immediately heal the wounds, otherwise, he would also die from excessive blood loss.

Egil quickly distanced himself from Laine, retreating nearly ten meters, a safe distance, as long as his wounds healed, Laine would face complete failure.

Egil immediately began to channel Khorne’s blessing to heal the wounds.

At this moment, Laine’s heart was deadly silent, but the fire of the Goddess of Revenge still burned, his insides were already hollow, but he knew he had unfinished business.

He had never bowed to Chaos, since coming to this world, in Nord, in Mijordenhaven, in Marinburg, in Brittania, he had never bowed to Chaos.

”So, once more, okay?” Laine smiled as he whispered to the Goddess of Revenge.

Only the raging white flame and the trembling sword answered him.

Anger, it was a kind of strength.

Too many lives had perished in the Barbarian’s aggression, the northern region of Leonais Duchy was already in ruins, at least a hundred thousand had died, towns turned to scorched earth.

Thousands of knights fell fighting to defend their homes.

Holy Grail Knight Commander Jules also fell here.

Egil and his tribe must pay the price for this!

When anger erupted from Laine’s heart, but was controlled by rationality and infused into his heart from every limb, the lost strength manifested once again within him, surging non-stop.

The silhouette of the Lake Fairy Chosen Champion exploded into numerous fragments of light and shadow.

The dozen meters between them vanished in a flash, Laine’s figure flashed before Egil, who was healing his wounds, and in Egil’s pale pupils, he saw his own reflection and his anxiety.

”No... you’re a knight, you can’t...”

”Die, Demon!”

With boundless fury, the Goddess of Revenge drew a silver arc in the air, his sword once again pierced through Egil’s armor, stabbing into the terrifying body of the Champion of Khorne. The sharp blade sliced through flesh, severing his cervical vertebra from shoulder to neck.

The head of the Champion of Khorne flew off his neck, Egil only felt his gaze rise from the ground, floating in the air.

”This... this is impossible... I actually...”

”Thud~” The grand head fell, rolled a few times by the coast, the headless body of King of Scalings collapsed with a thud, dark red blood surged, his wounds could never heal.

King of Scalings who roamed the Northern Wasteland for centuries, the Champion of Khorne Egil Steelbjorn, his story had ended, marking the conclusion of centuries of epic saga.

”No! No! No! My King!”

All the Barbarians wailed mournfully at the sight, the Crimson Guard all removed their helmets, these Chaos Chosen Warriors tore at their hair, using blades to carve terrible scars on their faces and chests, letting the streams of blood flow, only so Egil’s passing wouldn’t be shadowed by tears, the glory of a warrior could only be praised with blood, not tainted by tears.

Egil was gone, Scalings lost its king, there was no longer a warrior capable of leading the entire tribe like him, undoubtedly, future Scalings would fracture and fade away gradually.

A trail of blood scattered on the coastline, the heavily wounded Laine picked up Egil’s head, the Lake Fairy Chosen Champion raised the head of the Champion of Khorne to the sky, his roar pierced the skyline, echoing endlessly in the subspace.

”Only!”

”a”

”Man!”
