Warhammer Divine Throne

Jules just took a deep breath, a faint and indistinct voice echoed in his mind.

”Jules... I have protected you...”

It was the Lady! Jules was shocked, and he quickly prayed: ”My Lady?”

”Jules... I have protected you... once,... but I can only protect you... once.” The beautiful figure and voice of the Lake Fairy appeared in Jules’ mind, and the power of the Goddess flooded into the Holy Grail Knight Commander’s body, healing his wounds.

Afterwards, no matter how Jules prayed, he could no longer hear the Oracle of the Lake Fairy.

”My Lady! Thank you!!!” Jules howled to the sky, struggling to stand up again, staring at his northern opponent, wanting to see Egil fall. At this moment, Egil had more than a dozen deep wounds all over his body, and the big hole in his face was still bleeding. Anyone suffering such severe injuries would surely die.

What happened next made everyone who saw it hold their breath.

All of Egil’s injuries healed at a speed visible to the naked eye under Khorne’s blessing, blue smoke rose from his face, and all wounds automatically healed, leaving only a faint scar. The Chaos Champion’s face was twisted with bloodlust, then he raised his battle axe and stepped on Jules’ Longsword, Durandal.

Fear began to fill Jules’ heart, even though he was unwilling to admit it, he was forced to realize that he was close to losing this fight.

”Our duel isn’t over, Holy Grail Knight.” Surprisingly, Egil kicked the sword back to Jules, with disdain for the Lake Fairy’s assistance to the weak, and contempt for all rational and logical beings, Egil let out a piercing laugh: ”I’ll give you ten minutes to recover, then we’ll start the next round.”

Jules nodded silently, he picked up his Longsword, trying hard to recover his aching arms, then took out a potion to drink, stabilizing his injuries.

Egil, however, ordered away the Chaos Mage Chakoy, who came offering a potion. The Divine Chosen Champion of Khorne would not allow this sacred duel to be tainted by anything, in a champion’s duel, it only ends when one side falls completely, losing all their honor.

Noble, dignified, glorious, this is the Divine Chosen Champion of Khorne.

Ten minutes later, the battle resumed.

The ensuing battle was extraordinarily brutal, the two powerful warriors used all they had learned throughout their lives, Jules’ holy Longsword again left over a dozen deep bone-revealing wounds on Egil, but he himself was also slashed through his breastplate by the Hell Battleaxe, great bleeding wounds appeared on the knight’s thigh and shoulder, Jules continued to grit his teeth in perseverance, flipping his body, infusing all his strength into the sword blade, delivering a perfect strike towards Egil.

”Crack!” The blade hit the crook of the left arm, sinking into his bone, Egil let out a beastly howl of agony, then with a bull-like charge, he slammed into Jules, shattering his ribcage, bringing him to his knees, nearly reaching his limit, Egil’s wound healing speed became very slow.

The left arm hit by the blade clung tightly to the Durandal’s sword blade and Jules’ forearm, Egil didn’t care that the bone in his left arm was half severed, he raised his right arm, lifting the Hell Battleaxe Gom held in his right hand, and let out an earth-shattering roar.

”Decapitate!!!”

The perfect slaughter arc condensed into a blood-red trajectory.

In the sky, there was a sudden blood rain, the Hell Battleaxe completed its mission, the hands holding Durandal immediately lost strength, Egil kicked the headless body away, and pulled the holy Longsword out of his left arm.

All knights and citizens of Leonais, including Duke Dalheid, Kaled, Anara, and Aldred who were watching from the city walls, were stunned into silence, their lips quivering, unable to utter a word.

In Leonais Castle, only the endless roars of the barbarians celebrating victory remained.

Egil roared his victory, saluting the bloodthirsty throne of Khorne amidst endless glory and blood and flame, the Divine Chosen Champion of Khorne picked up Jules’ head, raising it to the sky, echoing through the heavens:

”Only”

”a”

”Man!!!”
