Warhammer Divine Throne

Now, Jules is gone, and he is left all alone.

The Lake God Prophet Anara is also sobbing uncontrollably, she has lost her beloved, but she still has tasks to complete. The Divine Sword Durandal was taken from Jules’ corpse by her and handed to Kaled: ”From now on... this sword will be your sword, Kaled.”

”No! How could I!” Kaled vigorously wiped his tears.

”This was his wish, he instructed me before he left, that if he... couldn’t return... to give this sword to you, Kaled, accept it, it’s his wish,” Anara softly said.

Only then did Kaled silently nod and accepted the sword.

The sound of weeping echoed in the hall. On one side, Laine’s expression was serious, Surya held his hand beside him: ”Is this war? Laine, will I encounter such a day?”

”To avoid such a day, we can only resist to the death,” Laine shook his head: ”The threat of Chaos will never disappear by running away, there’s no place in this world to remain unaffected.”

”Alas~” Teresa walked up from behind, she placed her hand on Laine’s shoulder: ”Thankfully, nothing happened to you, otherwise I don’t think I could bear this scene, maybe I would return to the Celestial Vault Castle and never come out again.”

”Lord Laine, please stand at the forefront.” This was when the Duke of Leonais, Dalheid, found Laine, his expression was desolate, tears glistening at the corners of his eyes: ”Leonais will forever be grateful for your contributions, please come to the forefront.”

”No, Your Grace, it wouldn’t be my turn...” Laine was about to refuse, but Dalheid did not give him the opportunity to do so. The Duke, clad in black, led his son and knelt before Jules’ body, weeping bitterly: ”I’m sorry, it’s all my fault, Jules, I’m sorry.”

”Father.” Aldred also cried, trying to advise his father: ”Father, you are the Duke of Leonais, you can’t do this, pull yourself together, the Duchy needs your leadership after the war.”

”It is your leadership, Aldred.” Dalheid directed his gaze towards his legitimate son.

”Father?”

”I have committed too many sins, I made too many mistakes, including the failure at the Nanzi Plains and failing to resolutely execute that woman, including returning the Dark Son to Egil, I cannot forgive my errors,” Dalheid’s voice was like a knife cutting, he bowed his head: ”Some choices were unavoidable, but I still need to atone for my sins.”

”Aldred, after this funeral is over, you will be the new Duke of Leonais, and I will walk the Path of the Holy Grail, embark on a Holy Grail Expedition, to atone for my series of mistakes to the Lady until the Lady forgives my sins.”

Having spoken, Duke Dalheid gave Aldred no chance to speak, he reluctantly stood up with the help of an attendant, then shouted aloud to all the knights in the hall: ”Lord Jules has left us, he is about to embark on the final journey of his life! His soul will enter a new realm under the Lady’s guidance! He will continue to fight to protect the Goddess’s land, along with countless glorious Holy Grail Knights and Ancestors, but now, I firmly believe, he is still with us, he will always live in our hearts, and we too will someday reunite with him in another world!”

Dalheid drew his sword: ”The hero is gone, but their noble spirit will live forever!”

At the same time, all the knights in the hall drew their swords, the tips pointed to the heavens: ”Their noble spirit will live forever!”

Laine, as the most honored guest, wearing a Count’s ceremonial robe, closed his eyes and bowed: ”Salute to Lord Jules and all heroes who sacrificed in resisting Chaos!”

”Salute to the heroes!” Even the sternest Hubert bowed down.

”Toot~ Toot~ Toot~~~” The majestic and splendid horn sounded in the hall, unceasingly.

A powerful aura erupted in the hall.

The Lake Fairy’s Divine Chosen Champion, Count Glamorgan Laine Macado formally advanced to the Holy Sanctuary.
