Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 796: Chapter 594: Journey to Dragon Rock Star

Hill started rummaging through the warehouse inside the pendant again, he needed to find something that wasn’t too valuable.

This trip has taught him the biggest lesson: don’t think you can just bring gold and silver jewelry when traveling; at the very least, carry some ordinary goods for show.

Inside his pendant, it seems the lowest-level material is Mithril, which is really bad luck. Fortunately, he can still dig up some Earth.

Star Realm Pirates can no longer be simply described as being under the Evil Faction; the Universe will always have entire races of pirates. They are natural Demons, powerful and numerous, thriving on looting Magic Ships.

Independent mages, no matter how powerful they seem, are not taken seriously by these bandits.

Even Deities, if not strong enough, might face defeat on these waters.

Nonetheless, these demonic bandit races don’t prioritize ordinary Deities, Valkin being an exception.

However, mages... mages who stroll through the Starry Sky are never poor.

So Hill plans to pass through Dragon Rock Star, he must enter the vast fields of the Stellar Realm discreetly.

Hill is not afraid of pirates; he can directly connect to the Elemental Realm, so he’s not afraid of swarms of tactics, even several hundred ships pose no threat. But he’s worried that he won’t find the forming Half-plane in time.

Once he finds it, he wouldn’t need to be so cautious.

Hill observed several Magic Ships that came together from the direction of Toril. These ships clearly met halfway, maintaining a significant distance between them but still keeping in touch.

After observing for a while, Hill identified a seemingly ordinary small white multi-sail boat trailing behind them.

Using six Level 12 warrior puppets as sailors, Hill sat within what is actually a miniaturized Advanced Magic Tower’s cabin.

He employed many methods to turn this white Tower Snail into the core of a Magic Ship. But the complication of using oceanic materials lies in the fact that for the magic ship’s keel, deck, and even sails crafted from Tower Snail to be managed as a whole by the Magic Tower, they all must be made of oceanic materials.

This seemingly small boat consumed most of Hill’s oceanic materials.

Considering the help from the Crystal Flower ancestors and Agleya, Teraxil’s top oceanic materials are all in his possession.

Hill later had to choose other materials for crafting different magic ships.

Of course, ordinary magic ships don’t require this much trouble, but Hill never thought of using something so casual for himself.

Sitting in the surveillance center, towering three decks high among several masts, Hill could directly view everything outside through the transparent wall of the white Tower Snail.

The Tower Spirit controlling the magic ship named Ladinro was collecting conversations from the ships ahead.

In the Stellar Realm, most areas are vacuum, but they are near enough to Dragon Rock Star; even though air is thin, there’s still a slight presence.

Despite the difficulty, Ladinro managed to eavesdrop on the main trade goods being transported by those few ships.

They are mostly timber and mineral products from Toril, even some food supplies.

It seems the merchants managing Dragon Rock Star’s planet are gathering these goods, accepting anyone who offers, as many magic ships find the distance relatively short and selling to the planet’s owner exempts them from trade tax. Even such simple goods can earn considerable profit, so they are all transported over.

Hill looked at his beautiful white multi-mast triangular sailboat, realizing it would be hard to pretend to be a grain merchant.

No one would be willing.

Fortunately, he eventually found names of quite a few precious minerals, even including Obsidian.

But the captains of these ships have limited abilities; they brought only a small amount, many lamenting they couldn’t earn the difference.

These minerals are relatively high-valued even in Toril. Magic ships mostly earn hard money, and to buy those minerals valued more than gold and silver, many captains can’t afford.

Hill summarized in his mind what these merchants wanted, discovering that Dragon Rock Star’s merchants intend to build a High-level Magic Tower.

Whether they’ve hired an Archmage or a merchant’s descendant has become a mage, something significant might happen here on Celene’s Tears; Hill reckons they might aim to tackle Star Thieves.

For merchants on Dragon Rock Star, the star realm pirates within the asteroids are their nemesis, especially a Bat Ship that can be considered a living magic ship.

The Bat Ship has only one female captain, but that poor captain is actually controlled by the ship. Although the magic ship’s magic power keeps her immortal, prolonged isolation and a life of robbery against her nature have long driven the female captain mad.

This ship is essentially a ghost ship in space, perpetually preying on magic ships in the asteroid belt; nobody knows the purpose of its loot, but it’s the enemy of all merchants. Even those star thieves despise it, as being double-crossed by this ship could mean losing one’s life.

Hill clasped his hands tightly, bracing himself, then placed hundreds of one-meter-square Obsidian bricks into the lower warehouse, followed by some small Mithril pieces.

Trading Obsidian is easy money for him; materials like Mithril and Mithril, he doesn’t yet have the prowess to convert, but finding them is relatively simple. Sometimes, Earth Elementals bring him Mithril from the Elemental Realm, while Mithril is a specialty of his family.
