Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 757: Chapter 556: Explosion Sound from Deepwater City

Hill looked at Terry, who had made up his mind, and once again profoundly understood the significance of money to a giant dragon.

The newly adult Terry was, to some extent, quite concerned about his reputation.

Like when he was in the cocktail business, he would somewhat embarrassingly set a minimum price, not wanting others to think he was crazily greedy.

Although generally, no one would order the cheapest drink when hiring a giant dragon to mix cocktails, who knew if they might get punched secretly after leaving.

But if he continued like this, Terry would only have the option to go home crying.

”Then remember to remove the 10 Gold Coin option from your price list,” Hill advised Terry, ”Indeed, many ’Teraxil Elves’ would be willing to spend a lot of money watching you mix drinks, but many more would choose the lowest price.

If you keep it at 10 Gold Coins per cup, even as a Golden Dragon, you’ll wear yourself out.”

Terry blinked his enormous eyes, his mind first hazily considering if such a workload could actually kill him, what that meant in terms of Gold Coins, before he shuddered into realization.

He knew exactly how many new elves there were, one drink per person, he would definitely end up a dead dragon.

Terry felt he was still young, even his bed wasn’t fully covered with gold and silver jewelry, and his dragon scales weren’t naturally inlaid with gemstones; he absolutely didn’t want to live such a miserable life.

He nodded repeatedly: ”I’ll go change the price list right away.”

Then he immediately flapped his wings and swooped down the mountain.

Hill shook his head, glanced at a few Dragon People hiding to the side, and slowly descended the mountain.

The Undead Tribe was always capable of keeping an eye and ear in every direction, those Dragon People hiding on the mountain could all be discovered by them.

The usually expressionless Dragon People were so scared that they immediately ran to hide by Terry’s side.

Hill didn’t know if they would relay what they just heard to Terry’s parents, but that wasn’t Hill’s concern, it was Terry’s.

Hill never told friends anything that needed to be kept secret, as it wasn’t beneficial for both parties; whatever he spoke of was meant to be known.

However, for Terry, whether his parents’ aides truly listened to him or continued to obey his parents, that might need some attention.

Aides sent by elders always came with such little troubles; they were indeed loyal, but always to a certain extent.

It would require Terry’s own effort to make these people see him as their master, not just a little master needing their care.

But that wasn’t something Hill could interfere with, it was Terry’s domestic affair.

Hill slowly walked down the mountain, and the fog along the way hid him according to his wishes.

He carefully reviewed the events of the past two days, hoping nothing had gone wrong.

Then Hill was startled by a loud explosion coming from the south.

He hesitated for a moment then flew up into the sky: The Undead Tribe should have just arrived at Deepwater City, right? How did they start fighting already?

By Hill’s reckoning, it should have been tomorrow, after taking some civilian missions that they would have clashed with those dark forces.

For the civilians, Deepwater City was indeed a tough place, one could even lose their life innocently while walking on minor paths late at night.

But at this time, they should have just arrived at the city gates!

The City Guards of Deepwater City, albeit fond of extortion, weren’t crazy. Facing so many elves, their instinct would be to avoid.

Some large wings floated beside Hill, the largest one laughing lively: ”They really started fighting! Deepwater City truly lives up to its name as the City of Corruption, shining brightly at the smallest hint of sunlight.”

Hill couldn’t help but turn towards the jubilant Rashael: ”What have you done again?”

How could he forget, there was this agitator among them.

”They taught me many stories of ancient worlds, and I realized they’re quite good at seduction tactics. So, I had them give Deepwater City a powerful blow.

I let those ladies dressed in elf home wear walk at the very front.”

Hill recalled the route to Deepwater City and indeed, if there was a half-hour difference between them, there was a major bend along the way.

At that spot, one couldn’t see the city gates, and naturally, those at the gates couldn’t see the massive troop behind it.

As for the elves’ home wear, it certainly comprised of cropped vests, short shorts, and sandals modified into a Roman-laced high-heeled style, which many of the Undead indeed wore.

Yet, they also favored long shoulder wraps, both big and small, which they wore, so it didn’t appear too unusual.

Though they took off their wraps when working, outsiders couldn’t see it, and Hill had ignored it.

Imagine a few charming and seductive female elves, swaying attractively as they walked into Deepwater City, where the famously corrupt and decadent City Guard were located. It was quite normal to expect what actions they might take.

Hill estimated that the ones going were all mages, and deploying a shield to instantly set fires was basic knowledge.

In Toril, there had never been such lowly level 15 mages who could absolutely teach them a profound lesson.

But incidents involving the City Guard provoking the powerful occurred periodically in Deepwater City, and each time it happened, their first reaction was to close the gates and let out those Lord Level powerhouses to handle it.

Yet, there were so many of the Undead Tribe, all with mounts.

If they charged on horseback, a half-hour journey could take less than 5 minutes to reach, and by then, the specially heavy gates of Deepwater City might not have been fully closed yet.

This tremendous explosion sound must have been caused by the Undead Tribe breaking through; they were very skilled at causing destruction.

”Once they reach Deepwater City, they will definitely start fighting, as the place is full of criminal gangs and thieves,” Hill couldn’t help saying, ”Why bother taking extra action?”

”That’s different,” Rashrael’s eyes were filled with ferocity, ”We need to give a warm welcome to Kelben first: the Elves have arrived.”

Hill glanced at Rashrael, the messenger from Coron, who always overly interpreted the oracles from the Father of Elves and always spoke with strong convictions. Besides, although the other was calmer than him, during battle, it was Rashrael who was even more fierce and merciless, never forgiving his enemies.

He often fought enemies to the death, and even if it took a long time for resurrection in the Divine Kingdom of Coron, he never minded.

Hill nodded. Sending out Rashrael meant Coron was prepared for battle, and since the Undead Tribe always acted with sufficient reason, even AO could not stop them.

He could not possibly stop the external braves who strived to Strike Evil, as it was he who had called out to all the universes, asking beings who uphold justice and goodness to come to Toril.

Tyr was one of those who responded to his call, bringing hundreds of angels, all of whom died in Toril. Although they resurrected in his Divine Kingdom later, these angels could never return to their homeland, their souls marked indelibly by Toril.

It was for this reason Tyr firmly became the God of Justice in Toril.

Coron dared to do so by exploiting the call that AO had not yet revoked; external powerhouses, as long as they were fighting evil, would not be stopped by AO even if they were affecting him and the Tablets of Fate.

This was indeed a vow issued from the very essence of the Toril World itself.

”There’s also Suren’s Grand Temple in Deepwater City, you better be careful; I never wish to become an enemy of Silvermoon,” Hill still soberly warned Rashrael.

Sometimes, harming Suren could very well be evil. Although she always appeared hurt, her essence was still that of the original Silvermoon, her core untainted.

”Coron has already marked Silvermoon and her subordinates within the core system of the Teraxil Elves. We can’t attack them unless they strike first,” Rashrael said somewhat regretfully.

”Suren’s subordinates are quite approachable. Just tell them we are fighting evil,” Hill was unmoved, not wanting to get dragged into any troubles by this lover of battle, ”Besides, Suren is on good terms with Agleya, don’t mess with her.”

Rashrael turned to look at the temple by the sea, then at Hill, and nodded solemnly, ”I understand, I will definitely avoid any conflicts with them.”

Smiling, Hill said, ”Now that I know what has happened, I’ll head back. Rashrael, make sure you don’t leave the range of the Puzzle Lock! I’ve already suppressed your presence as much as possible.”

This guy had probably more enemies than most of the True Gods in the Elf Deity System; many from the Evil God System wanted him dead.

The two most dangerous from the Elf Deity System were the Goddess of Runes, Araslin Drana, and him.

But Araslin was targeted because she was the weakest link in the Elf Deity System and liked to live alone, while Rashrael was targeted solely because of his rabid-style and mouth comparable to the Gnomes.

Rashrael nodded begrudgingly; he knew if he attracted those Evil Gods here, he would have to return to the Divine Kingdom.

Although they had a good brotherly relationship, he did not want to be replaced halfway through a job.

Hill no longer cared about the angels watching from afar; his vision was not sharp enough to reach that far, but the angels could.

Hill could do it too, but it would require Magic, so he simply went home.

After all, he had other ways of achieving what the angels could only do with Divine Arts.

When the explosion occurred, List had already been inviting guests for him.

Walking into the living room of the Floating Castle, Hill saw Black Rose’s ”Chattering” and ”Magic Sword.”

Though they had all transformed into elves with longer ears and slender figures, their faces, aside from a touch of beautification, hadn’t changed much.

Hill recognized them immediately.

They were holding glasses of juice, and upon seeing Hill enter, they waved in unison, ”Hill! Long time no see, the juice here is still so delicious.

The Srei from Teraxil would never sell to us; can you talk to him?”

Hill smiled pleasantly, ”Of course, I can. Why didn’t you two go to Deepwater City?”
