Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 792: Chapter 591: The Undead Tribe’s Vanguard Forces Rushing Towards the Desert (Additional Release for Alliance Hierarch 9527 from the East)

The warning tower was usually unoccupied, for Hill’s Water Maze Lock extended far across the sea and defended from above and below, and with Water Elemental Sprites freely frolicking in the sea, there was simply no need for someone to be on watch in the tower.

Just like these elf ships, their easy access was possible because Hill had given permission in advance, otherwise, they would have faced impenetrable white mist and aggressive attacks from Water Elemental Sprites.

And the ships granted permission were guided by the diligent and adorable Water Elementals, completely obviating the need for harbor management to provide docking instructions.

However, during regular docking by merchant ships, List could handle things. The elf fleet presented too much of a risk, which is why Hill needed to manage it. In such cases, the Water mist would only obey Hill’s will; his Tower Spirit was of no use.

Lynn’s cousins, were they trying to avoid their Old Grandmother while pretending they were already there to welcome her but were too busy with work to approach, merely watching from a distance?

Hill thought about it, considering Lynn’s usual emotional intelligence, he likely wouldn’t speak out of turn in front of his grandmother unless he actually wanted his cousins to get beaten up.

That was quite possible.

Lynn had wanted to hit them for a long time and his small heart, originally panicked over potential trouble from Mis Zhunuo, hadn’t received any compensation yet and had had to give up causing them trouble amid their foolish yet straightforward cousins’ misery.

But Hill felt that Lynn had always held a grudge, occasionally muttering a few words about it.

Maybe in his letters, to not worry his elders, he might even say a few good things, but now, Lynn’s uncles and aunts must have arrived—it was a perfect time for revenge!

Not many elves disembarked from the ship, only about a hundred or so, but Hill could see many civilians in plain clothes on the deck, indicating that the Royal Fleet truly intended to leave Eternity Island forever with their families.

The elves at the harbor quickly lined up according to their military ranks behind Prince Ramriel and two generals, with a few Elf Nobles who were not in uniform, likely devoted followers of the prince, at the very end of the procession.

In the world of elves, no matter how noble a title, one must stand behind the military personnel at official occasions where military members are present.

From the expressive faces of those from the original Elf Crusade now serving as Agleya City Guards, it was evident that most were their elders.

With official business to attend to, Lynn managed to escape his mischievous grandmother. He straightened his clothes and respectfully greeted Prince Ramriel, then took the lead to guide them to meet Coron.

If the Father of Elves was willing to receive them, it must mean he strongly approved of the Eternity Island Royalty’s actions this time.

Considering that he and the Elf Queen had always hoped to be directly part of the God System instead of managing the elves, Coron truly implemented his philosophy, never interfering with the mundane decisions of elves, even if their foolishness made him not want to watch.

Probably this is why he didn’t mind that Teraxil, the Elven God King, acted so foolishly.

After all, the chaotic nature of elves made any of their actions normal, so Coron really couldn’t manage them.

Unless he took forceful measures, but being a Father of Elves from the Chaotic Faction himself, he had no such inclination.

His ethos was all about the nature of freedom.

Hill glanced at the harbor. The elves had chosen their timing well; most of the Undead Tribe was now flooding into Neverwinter, while the most bold-hearted among them had already started to explore the desert.

Like the Wenjian Clan’s Young Master and the Black Rose, they were all keen on paving the way.

It was normal for the Young Master to volunteer for the vanguard; he had always preferred venturing out to completing tasks in the city. Plus, he had an advantage over others, having a good relationship with the priests of the Dawn Church.

And the Dawn Church, in this most challenging stretch of the journey, had built several Towers of the Dawn, places Lansendel favored, where even barren wilderness seemed a prime location.

With them present, the Undead at least wouldn’t lose their way; the Dawn Stone Lansendel created served multiple functions, but its most practical feature was that his location always emitted a white light.

Moreover, Lansendel had approved certain Undead to access the Tower of Dawn. This meant if the Young Master and his group were badly wounded, they could simply run to the base of the tower for a continuous recovery BUFF, while others, merely allies of Lansendel, could only dispel some negative BUFFs.

Hill hadn’t anticipated that in just a few months, the Young Master with his Wenjian Youth Group and the priests of the Lord of Dawn would become close friends, gaining Lansendel’s endorsement.

It was precisely because of Lansendel’s profound recognition of the Young Master that many Undead had no interest in dealing with this Lord of Dawn, giving him the fitting nickname ”Chuunibyou Teenager God.”

Without needing to delve into Lansendel’s great deeds in Toril, the Undead had made a stark judgment of him.

As for the Black Rose volunteering, it was because their nearly unaffordable Wild Boar Legion had found, for some reason, that Toril was highly conducive to boar breeding; within three months, the numbers in their clan had doubled.
