Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 762: Chapter 561 Agleya’s Return

After witnessing a spectacle of the Undead Tribe, Hill suddenly felt much better.

The days in Toril had, indeed, put him under an unusual amount of pressure.

It was completely different from when he split off from the Perelast Family to establish his own domain—back then, all Hill thought about was finding a place to live in seclusion.

But in a place like Toril, seclusion was futile, and he had Agleya with him!

Hill absolutely would not show himself to be a scared rabbit who danced at the first whiff of trouble in front of his own daughter!

He wouldn’t hide away in a hole at every stir of wind or rustle of grass.

But he indeed felt the pressure, and Hill was very clear that despite the deities of Toril appearing friendly on the surface, it was because his strength was truly worthy of standing before them.

But this friendliness did not imply they would lend a helping hand. Otherwise, knowing full well that Hill and Agleya didn’t care about other deities’ followers in this place, why would only Tyr take direct action?

Of the many deities who came and went, only Lansendel hinted he could send followers to build a Temple before the Undead arrived.

While he dared not accept the kindness of the Lord of Dawn, Hill was still grateful to him.

Just as Hill continued to entrust the security of the most crucial parts of the Puzzle Lock to the Silver Shield Knights, he also introduced the followers of the Lord of Dawn directly to the God of Time and Space.

Hill was aware that Lansendel might still not escape the calamity that lay ahead; the birth of the Sun God from within the Dawn was likely an inevitable fate.

All Hill could do was to leave a way out for Lansendel, so that even in slumber, he might awaken sooner and not lose all his Divinity.

And, of course, it would be better if the process could be less foolish.

Hill let out a long sigh. They would truly be safe only after the Star Gate was built, he and his daughter having a home to return to at any time; otherwise, if something unbearable happened, they would really have to figure out how to wander into the starry sky.

Hill himself wasn’t afraid of this. What would it matter if he wandered for tens of thousands of years? At most, his memories of Teraxil would gradually fade, making the search for home more arduous.

But what about Agleya? Could all that Divine Power just dissipate? He absolutely would not accept that.

Agleya felt the same. Her nature was actually quite domineering, but she was very aware of Hill’s concerns. If this divine incarnation was destroyed because of her unwillingness, Agleya knew how heartbroken her Dad, Hill, would be.

So the Sea God of the Chaos System could only swallow her anger; otherwise, given Agleya’s temperament, of course, she would have chased Ambori to death.

She could do without the oceans of this world, but she would surely eradicate evil.

The worry for each other was the reason that limited their actions as father and daughter, but now they could finally be at ease.

Hill slowly returned to his study and opened his Magic Book.

Although it wasn’t time yet, he had already decided what magic the next Chapter would document.

It seemed he had rediscovered the leisure of the past, no longer solely focused on how to defend and counterattack.

He looked at the sunset outside and the stars already faintly glowing, smiling as he closed the Magic Book. He could consider traveling again in a while.

Once the Undead had driven Deepwater City mad, it was certain that no one on the Northern Continent would dare to covet Agleya City again.

The Undead began their frisky days, and Agleya also cheerfully shared the treasures of Moon Forest with Hill, since she could finally bring them out.

The Druids of the Moon Forest Ring, with their hidden treasures, satisfied her greatly.

The Druids of this sect, renowned for their craftsmanship, might not be high in level, but their creations were exquisitely beautiful.

Agleya took many intricate ornaments and some very unique seeds and gave them to Hill.

”Dad, Hill!” she said softly, ”These Druids might not have any Divine Artifacts, but the Magical Curios they craft themselves are quite useful.

I’ve always lacked such a systematic method of Divine Artifact manufacturing to instruct those under me in the sea.

Dad, Hill, you guessed they would place the manufacturing methods and Divine Scrolls in Dimensional Space, didn’t you?

When I return, I’ll be able to develop my own set of methods based on these Divine Runes.”

She leaned gently against Hill, her tone a bit wistful, ”I really don’t want to leave Dad, Hill! But yet, I can only choose to depart. I am a child with ambition and never want to stand still, nor do I want to be worse than others!

The first thing I think of when I get something good is to return to the Divine Kingdom and study it well.

Dad, Hill, I always thought I would want to stay with dad forever, but I am not that kind of cute little girl...

I desire strength more than anything.”

”Agleya is very cute,” Hill stroked her hair gently, his tone tender, ”and of course, my good daughter.

Anyone who wants to strive for betterment is absolutely right.

What parent doesn’t want their child to become strong?

I am seeking my own path forward myself, so how could I wish for Agleya to stagnate just to stay by my side?”

I’ve always felt this treasure appeared just for Agleya, how fitting!

The druids of the Moon Ring are so accustomed to creating magical curios with a hint of holy power, especially those Acorns of the Moon that rival level 16 spells.

The moment I saw them, I thought of it.

What place could be more suitable for such divine arts than those little pearls in your great whirlpool?

Agleya must be able to research her own exclusive divine arts here, right?”

Agleya leaned her head on Hill’s shoulder and said softly, ”Yes, Hill’s Dad. I’ve noticed too, they are very suitable for the naturally formed little pearls in the whirlpool.

As long as my divine power returns to the Divine Kingdom, I will surely be able to research my own exclusive divine arts.

In the future, I will have my own heritage just like the Gods of Time and Space, instead of just learning the ways of the Forest of the Elves.

I always felt they were somewhat not quite right for me.

I originally thought I could get some clues from Ambori of this world, but she wasn’t any better than me, what’s the difference between her and a sea magical beast that acts on instinct?

Luckily I got this.

Hill’s Dad has always been lucky, and I wasn’t wrong to insist on becoming Dad’s daughter, even if it meant being a bit shameless.”

Hill couldn’t help but laugh: ”I’m very happy to have a daughter like Agleya, truly and sincerely.”

Agleya, smiling, leaned close to Hill, humming a pleasing tune, and slowly turned into a spray of water.

The playful little spray finally slapped Hill’s arm with its tail before completely turning into light and dissipating into the air.

Hill, feeling a sense of loss, touched his arm, his mood somewhat sullen.

Although it’s not like he was always together with Agleya, knowing that his daughter was nearby and having her in another world felt completely different!

No matter how sweetly it was put, the poor father still felt a bit of a loss.

Feeling forlorn, Hill decided to take a walk nearby.

Lynn has been a bit too busy these days, if she noticed Hill loitering about every day, she’d probably go crazy.

His couple of elder cousins were truly the core strength of the Elf Crusade, all action and no thought, useless in offering any help.

Ever since the crusade became a part of Hill’s Domain, no one mentioned elves as the epitome of elegance and high intellect. Their graceful movements were merely due to their innately high agility.

Or perhaps it wasn’t that the Elf Crusade lacked brains, but that they simply didn’t want to use them.

Having observed them for a while, Hill understood why even Fey Demons could order them around.

It might also be that those on Eternity Island willing to use their brains got caught up in political struggles.

When the Undead Tribe came, although it was only for a couple of days, Hill felt that the Elf Crusade was already getting along well with them.

If it weren’t for Lynn’s firm intervention, they might have followed the Undead to Deepwater City.

The praiseworthy thing about these fellows is their innate sincerity, pledging to become a part of Hill’s Domain, they are willing to follow Lynn’s command.

Even those who had bullied Lynn when they were children.

Lynn didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but for this reason, he hoped even more to do something for these elves, so he had been communicating with the Temporal Artifact and that Seraph recently.

Moving into the City Guard barracks didn’t mean they could handle everything, all permissions required detailed communication among three parties.

Hill stealthily glanced at Lynn in the Alchemy Square, frowning and weighing every word, then looked at Terry who was in pain yet enjoying the crowd watching, although they were tired, they had things they wanted to do.

So, Hill quietly going out for a few days shouldn’t be a problem.

Hill glided directly into the sea following the shoreline, a gentle kick of his legs took him far into the distance.

More than ten minutes away from Sword Coast, Hill encountered a gigantic whale. After feeding the whale a dozen fresh river fish, the whale, delighted with the foreign treats, swiftly swam with Hill on its back.

Being careful to avoid the whale’s blowhole, Hill joyfully lay on the whale’s back and closed his eyes, unaware of where to go—those Prophecy Techniques would be even less likely to find him.

When the whale surfaced and spouted a huge water jet, Hill realized it had come to feast and incidentally to court.

Next to the tremendous Ice Mountain, thousands of unicorn whales of similar appearance but varying sizes gathered and kept ramming the bottom of the Ice Mountain.

Inside, the little silverfish were frantically squirming, but the completely sealed Ice Mountain meant they could only wait for the end.

Some of the larger silverfish didn’t seem nervous and swam slowly, as if they were observing whether there were any gaps in the circle formed by the whales below.

The unicorn whale that brought Hill over quickly swam to an especially huge whale, indicating that Hill should present a gift.

After Hill gave 20 trout from Ice Lake to the Clan Leader of the whales, he received permission to stay and hunt together.

Hill happily stayed behind.
