Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 795: Chapter 593: Celene and the Tears of Celene

Instead of merging into the darkness of Toril, Hill still chose to let the moonlit path guide his way.

And even though it wasn’t the Silvermoon of his own world, Toril’s moonlight still gently embraced him.

Suren acted generously; perhaps sensing the Power of the Silvermoon from another world in Hill, the moonlight almost pulled him quickly out of the world membrane.

As soon as he stepped into the starry sky, he had a sense of crisis.

Hill stood motionless in the water-like moonlight. His exit from the world membrane attracted some void monsters.

These strangely shaped creatures lingered where Hill had emerged. Finding nothing in the nearly merged moonlit Hill, they left directly.

Hill stood expressionlessly, but he was, in fact, a bit scared: Why would a natural spirit appear in such a place?

The decayed and ethereal tree-like beasts made Hill, favored by nature, feel a chill all over.

That is the fate of a Spirit of Nature after the world is devoured by the Bottomless Abyss.

And only the most powerful Spirits of Nature would transform into Magic Spirits, while the others would only be devoured by the strong.

If Teraxil had not been saved, its fate might have been even more tragic.

Hill silently warned himself to always remember the dreadful nature of the Abyss, never to believe he could fight the Abyss alone.

He did not fear the Spirit of Nature turned Magic Spirit, but the essence of such beings actually resides in the Abyss. Even if killed, they would resurrect once more.

Moreover, they forever remember the aura of those who killed them, tirelessly seeking them to ambush, trying to possess their enemies.

This is their instinctive response. What could be more powerful than those who could kill them?

Corrupting such individuals, dragging them into the Abyss, sooner or later, they would earn the admiration of the Bottomless Abyss, able to root and sprout once more.

This singular thought runs through the Spirits of Nature turned Magic Spirits, preventing any communication; in fact, they are even more terrifying than the native demons of the Abyss.

In recent years, the demons in the Bottomless Abyss have been quite quiet, not creating many world-turning disasters, largely because the Great Demons are observing the threats posed by these new types of demons.

No such entities have appeared in Teraxil, so there’s no immediate concern. Letting the Undead Tribe take care of them solves the problem.

Demons rely on Soul Force to find people; they have no ability to identify the Soul Light of the Undead Tribe.

Actually, it’s rare to see them in Toril. Most aren’t that strong, mostly appearing as small corrupt treant-like soul bodies near the Abyssal Gate.

Once they successfully possess someone, their inherent soul-searching instinct temporarily disappears, and it is no longer a threat to kill them at this point.

In dealing with such Magic Spirits, the Evil Faction is more adept, while the Kind Alignment always requires someone to sacrifice themselves.

Since these creatures appeared, there have again been many aged warriors showing up at some Abyssal Gates.

Although they believe dying on the battlefield is the best end for a warrior, others cannot endure it.

Only after Hill looked through those documents did he realize the trouble these new types of demons could cause.

What if he appeared someplace without such self-sacrificing warriors as an option?

In Low Rank worlds, there’s no one like Hill with many defensive measures.

More frightening is that the Magic Spirits already have the capability to appear in the starry sky!

This is not something a Level 20 or below can do.

Hill reminded himself that upon returning, he must inform Lynn and let him announce it to the world, including the Evil Faction.

These Magic Spirits indiscriminately kill, never distinguishing friend from foe.

Those they can kill are nourishment, those they can’t are future vessels.

However, Hill’s current aim is to find a half-plane, and he does not wish to face an ever-present adversary at this moment; creating a half-plane also requires time.

He frowned while searching for Radiant Crystal in his pendant. Hill remembered digging up a few pieces, hoping they weren’t stored in the Floating Castle’s warehouse.

If found, he would have no choice but to use these irreplaceable crystals to trap the Magic Spirit.

Though sealed in the crystal, the Magic Spirit will eventually perish over time, and later come searching for Hill, he should no longer be in Toril by then.

This thing may be considered a Demon, but it only has instinct and isn’t smart enough to cross worlds to find people.

Hill finally found a piece of Radiant Crystal, and sighed regretfully. This piece was collected in the pendant because of its excellent purity; hopefully, it wouldn’t get wasted.

There are others, but those were prepared for the Half-plane, all placed within the Magic Array for resonance that lasted a long time. They absolutely cannot be taken out for such trivial matters; if really can’t find it, Hill would rather be chased by the Natural Spirit.

Next time, he must remember to place a few more pieces; he has really become overconfident lately, to the point of being unprepared going out.

Hill, who was ready for battle, walked along the Moonlight Path to Toril’s only satellite, Celene.

Actually, Suren should have been called Celene, but since she degraded herself to Lower Rank Divine Power, she even lost the Divinity of Moonlight during those years; she had to use the name Suren.

In the future, when her power is restored, and she becomes powerful Divine Power again, she will emphasize her original name Celene. Right now, her power cannot bear the powerful Divine Power brought by multiple Divinities under Celene’s name, she can only temporarily call upon it during battles.

Thus, when her crazed version attacked, her enemies faced not the incarnation of Intermediate Divine Power, but the powerful Divine Power. This is the reason why the true form of the Goddess of Silvermoon, Celene, is unbeatable.

Bane and Baal, who were promoted to Deities later, really didn’t know Suren’s true power; otherwise, they wouldn’t dare provoke this Goddess of Silvermoon.

Suren, being a kindly aligned deity who likes to meddle, with Intermediate Divine Power, incredibly swept across the entire Toril Continent, even barely leaving Lower Rank Divine Power managed to beat Shaer; anyone slightly smart wouldn’t dare provoke him.

Just like the crazy Cyric, who did so many things, even dared to assassinate the Goddess of Magic, yet wisely steered clear of Suren.

Baal and Bane are still too young.

Hill even thinks that Tampas and Tyr dared to pursue him recklessly is because AO wouldn’t jump out to protect him over some Tablets of Fate or such. Unless AO is willing to face an enraged Goddess of the Silvermoon.

Once Suren completely loses her rationality, actually everyone is afraid. She truly can shake the very essence of Toril.

The always pristine and bright side facing Toril Planet, Celene, is actually covered by a giant magic carpet. Illusion Magic on the carpet makes Planet Celene seem completely uninhabited and desolate.

Yet on the side not covered by illusions, its glory is completely unveiled.

Hill stood outside Celene and looked at the continent called the ’Dark Side of the Moon’ for a moment. The humans there are truly the most scantily clad, frivolous appearing beings he had ever seen since coming to the Fantasy World.

Although the girls of the Undead Tribe also dress lightly, it’s the Elf Wind style, everything that should be covered is covered. Moreover, their expressions are confident and defiant, there are even many big shots among them, causing the Undead Tribe not to give off a sense of drunken revelry.

But the Celene people do; their expressions are vacant and frivolous, as if living only for flirting, despite dressing sumptuously, they act like girls from a lower class establishment.

Hill could see more than 50 ports located at the equator line of the moon, and cities built around these ports; the architecture appears bright-colored, resplendent and magnificent.

This is a world that constantly feels it may lose its home, where people only know how to indulge in living, never thinking whether tomorrow or doomsday arrives first.

Those Toril people who visited this world rate Celene Planet’s inhabitants as frivolous, stupid, not worth serious consideration.

Living in a world named after Celene but who believes in the Lady of Mist, the goddess of Illusions and Lies, Laila, there’s actually nothing wrong with those residents’ thoughts.

Once Suren retrieves all her power, those believers of other deities will be thrown off Celene by her.

Many Toril’s Magic Ship captains are very interested in this world; as long as there are fitting goods, they will definitely make a trip to Celene.

Because they are so lavishly indulgent, as long as they bring over large quantities of silk and all kinds of beautiful jewelry from Toril, they can earn a lot of money here.

As long as that large gold mine on Celene remains, they will not stop their mad spending.

Yet compared to worrying about Suren, those Celene people are more concerned about some powerful Toril world force setting eyes on their metal mine, completely unaware that rather than occupying here, those powerful forces hope to milk these foolish people of their gold and silver before Suren completely recovers.

Everyone is striving to make time.

This world nearly constantly emits that atmosphere of luxury and revelry, making him feel very uncomfortable just seeing it. Hill touched his pendant, abandoning the thought of making a profit there.

Pity the large quantity of jewelry he brought out.

He glanced at the asteroid group called Tears of Celene, not many asteroids are inhabitable, apart from the peculiar castle in its center, he really isn’t interested in the other places.

But there, it’s Toril’s bridgehead into the Stellar Realm.

Hill sighed; he decided to take a look at Dragon Rock Star on the outermost side of the Tears of Celene. That is a purely commercial planet, storing many specialties from various Planes; perhaps some interesting materials may catch his interest. Although he has prepared enough materials for crafting the Half-plane, a little bit extra wouldn’t hurt.

After leaving Celene’s vicinity, Hill must also find a sturdy Magic Ship to protect himself.

Once he lost the Moonlight’s protection, while walking in the Stellar Realm, he’d be easily discovered by the pirate races of the Stellar Realm.
