Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 773: Chapter 572: Lansendel’s Reconciliation with the Elf Deity System

Lynn looked at Hill in astonishment, with a little fairy wearing a flower crown on his head: ”A Flower Fairy? Where did you find her? Even in the former Supreme Forest, it was rare to see their presence! Even my mom has only heard of them.”

Vila waved her small magic wand furiously: ”Where are your manners, sir with the long ears? Vila is right in front of you, who are you talking to?”

Lynn quickly controlled his emotions and apologized to Vila with the most sincere tone: ”I’m really sorry, beautiful and elegant Flower Fairy, I was just too astonished!”

I never thought I’d see the day when I could actually meet a Flower Fairy with my own eyes, truly as cute and charming as the legends say.

It’s been over a thousand years since anyone has seen a Flower Fairy.

In Elven legends, Flower Fairies fell completely silent due to the disappearance of their leader, and even during the days of the Joyous Court, they were unwilling to deal with anyone.

So, can you forgive my surprise, dear Miss Vila?”

Vila tried to maintain her composure and nodded slightly: ”Fine! I forgive your ignorance.”

Unfortunately, both Hill and Lynn could see the smug expression on her face and her wings flapping rapidly behind her.

She flew up, waving her little fists at Hill: ”I won’t agree to let a Gnome into my place! Let Squallei dream on!

I was deceived by him and failed to return to my mother’s side in time.

Echtertien can come, but Squallei is absolutely not allowed!”

Hill said softly, ”As for the matters of the Joyous Court, you can decide for yourself! I don’t mind, but will Echtertien really come? I think that might be too conspicuous, don’t you?”

”He’s not Oberon!” Vila pouted, ”Besides, don’t all the adults really like Echtertien?”

Hill thought with a headache that Echtertien probably wouldn’t come.

He isn’t just the God of Pegasus but also the God of Unicorn, although he is a winged stallion.

Hill truly hadn’t expected that bringing back a few Little Flower Fairies, not only turned into a bunch of Little Fairies but might also come with a big white horse in tow.

But he had practically no followers in Toril unless the Little Fairies on Hill’s side were in danger; otherwise, Echtertien probably wouldn’t venture into Lally’s territory.

Vila handed Hill a small bottle the size of a long and narrow grape, filled with flower nectar brewed today: ”Make more of these small bottles for us, Hill. I can trade you fabric mixed with moonlight and spider silk!”

Vila loves these little bottles! Before, when they brewed flower nectar, they had to use hundreds of small floral pouches, but now each type of flower nectar only needs one bottle!

Hill laughed wryly in frustration, making these was not difficult for him, but the trickiest part was shaping such small bottles, his eyes were nearly popping out of his head.

Besides... the fabric Vila mentioned was only as big as two of his palms, and Hill planned to keep it for Agleya and Alice to play with, only willing to trade with Vila for it.

He made 50 bottles for Vila, and the moonlight cloth he got in exchange wasn’t even enough to make a single garment.

But Vila didn’t care about Hill’s troubles; she felt that she had made herself clear, and she just needed to wait for Cunbu to come to Hill for a trade.

The little Flower Fairy flew out the window with a sway of her transparent wings.

The little fairies loved Hill’s Floating Castle very much, it was so secure that without Hill’s permission, no dangerous adults could enter their small domain.

Even those among them brave enough to take a look on the ground at what humans and Elves have become didn’t have to worry about not being able to escape or bringing trouble back to their companions.

Otherwise, Vila wouldn’t have come to Hill to state that Gnomes are not allowed here, as many members from the outer court of the Joyous Court had come to play before.

The God of Gnomes has been protesting Vila’s discriminatory treatment lately, but Vila firmly refuses to let them in, fearing Squallei would come to find Hill, so she needed Hill’s promise.

Of course, Hill would give her that promise, just listening to Vila would be fine.

As for Pixies coming here, he didn’t really mind.

These mischievous little fairies, who just use illusion techniques to make people lose their way, were of no use to Hill, and not even much use inside a Puzzle Lock, as he could drive away such illusions with mist at any time.

But deceitful Gnomes... indeed, he didn’t like them either.

”Hill,” Lynn broke into his thoughts, ”Did you bring them from Icewind Valley?”

”Ah!” Hill realized and nodded, ”Yes, I found Vila and the others inside an Ice Mountain, they used spatial transmission to escape there to avoid the first destruction of the Weave.”

He didn’t mention why he went inside the Ice Mountain, and Lynn didn’t plan to ask either.

Hill took Lynn back to the study.

Lynn’s gaze fixated on the sleeping Murderous Vine. It seemed like Miliel had told him everything, including how Marla died.

Lynn looked at Hill, who was leisurely sitting in his chair, and couldn’t help but give a wry smile, ”You really are taking it easy, Hill.”

Hill smiled. As the City Lord of Agleya City, Hill had already shown his formidable strength, and naturally, the watching powers of the Ferun Great Land had started to make their moves.

Portals in Toril actually made many things quite expedient, only before, Hill hadn’t shown enough value to make these powers spend the money.

But now it was different.

For most of the countries and cities on Ferun Great Land, dealing with one Ambori was nothing, and they could handle two as well.

However, what Hill had taken down was an existence even more terrifying than three Ambori.

Among them were Marla wielding a Demon-Slaying Dagger and Valkin with a Lesser Artifact!

In recent times, Lynn had been dealing with messengers from these powers.

When Hill first returned, Lynn had wanted to see him, full of countless questions and thoughts!

But at that time, all the countries and towns from The North had already sent their representatives. Lynn was almost overwhelmed with work in the city hall of Agleya City, so Hill simply had List inform him to come only after everything was settled.

There wasn’t much to say about his own matters; after all, he wasn’t the one who had taken down Bane.

Fortunately, Lynn was able to put the Elf Crusade to work.

The Undead Tribe members couldn’t be counted on, as they had recently taken to frolicking in the wilderness outside the city. Terry, who frequently flew into the skies to observe the nearby situation, said that within three kilometers, not even a rabbit could be found.

In the several months that Hill was away, the stay-behind Undead Tribe members, who had waited for an attack from Deepwater City, were nearly driven to despair, with no one knowing how they could bear it for so long.

It seemed like as long as Black Staff had a hard time, it didn’t matter if everyone else suffered terribly.

Even the command elements of the Undead Tribe couldn’t quite grasp the complex relationships between the forces of Toril, despite their many thoughts.

Keep in mind, during this time, their antics in Deepwater City involved more than just killing a few red-named characters; digging three feet in the ground wouldn’t even begin to describe their madness.

They figured out on their third day in Deepwater City that the trouble stemmed from Baal’s treasure, and then they started to collect those ill-gotten goods and bring them back for purification in a shallow pool in front of Agleya Temple.

Aside from the Holy Water of Agleya, there were also many holy emblems of the Elf Deities, as well as an egg-sized piece of Amber, containing the blood of the Lord of Dawn, which dealt the most damage to the forces of death brought by Baal.

When Hill returned and saw the glowing Amber floating in the center of the Holy Water Pool, he understood why he had been drawn to Amanata’s Holy Grail.

Indeed, he had sent Lansendel away, and the Lord of Dawn, whose focus was not on Toril at all, couldn’t possibly continue to impersonate Amanata.

But as long as Hill held no greed in his heart, no one could do anything to him.

After some thought, Hill realized that even without Lansendel, Amanata could still be resurrected, just not as quickly, especially since he had lost a large amount of resources from the wealthy Dawn Temple.

However, there was no shortage of worshippers of the sun, and many were already followers of the Lord of Dawn.

He always remembered, when Amanata resurrected from Lansendel’s body, the entire Sun God Temple that Lansendel had organized nearly all followed Amanata.

For Toril people who admired strength, the sun was definitely more trustworthy than the dawn.

Even though for many years, it was Lansendel who had been providing them with benefits and God’s favor, their worship was ultimately of the sun! Who cared for that streak of light in the morning?

It was because of this character of the Toril people that the smarter Deities wouldn’t place everything in their followers, striving instead for personal strength.

”The gifts they sent have been stored in Agleya City’s municipal warehouse by List,” Lynn asked softly, ”Do you really not plan to look at any of them?”

Hill said indifferently, ”Lynn, unless it’s a Divine Artifact, I’d rather make things myself; I’m not short on Gold Coins.”

Lynn nodded, ”Then I’ll just use those items as task rewards for the ’Teraxil Elves,’ otherwise I would have to exchange for Gold Coins with the Seraphs of Coron.”

Thinking of those bored Seraphs squatting in the task hall, Hill couldn’t help but laugh, such poor things!

He had always thought that Coron releasing these Seraphs was a reward, but now he wasn’t so sure. Squatting there posting tasks and exchanging for Gold Coins every day, to these lively and active Seraphs, it must be torture.

The live broadcasts of the Undead Tribe shown in the task hall every day were the only entertainment in their boring days.

The greatest wish of the Seraphs, from top to bottom, was for the dark forces of Deepwater City to cause trouble for Agleya City sooner rather than later.

After all, it had been so long since the dreadful alleys of Deepwater City had been rebuilt into the bright and shiny façade of apartment streets. No one knew if the original owners were satisfied, after all secrets were no more.

When Hill returned, he heard that even the secret meetings of Santarin, the biggest dark force in The North, had already been found and wiped out by the Undead Tribe.

The Undead Tribe and the Seraphs will likely soon welcome the long-awaited retaliatory action they have been yearning for.
