Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 367: Chapter 166 The Elf and the Dwarves Go Their Separate Ways

The Dwarf King endured for a while, but when he saw that the Elven God King was relentless, he finally spoke up, ”Who knows if we will fight with you in the future, we were merely making preparations. Haven’t you also schemed against the dwarves?

”This time we were just used by demons, I will settle the score with them!

”Let’s resolve the current matters thoroughly first, then I will apologize to you!

”After all, the Forest of the Elves has not been harmed, has it?”

Hill was amazed at the thickness of the Dwarf King’s skin, as if humans had to dig a kilometer into the ground while the elves could only wait hundreds of years to watch their forest decay.

He actually made it sound so easy.

”What can humans do to elves?” the Elven God King said with a cold laugh, ”As long as we don’t leave the Forest of the Elves, I’d like to see what they can do!”

”You’re content with just hiding like this?” the Dwarf God said in surprise.

”You’re the one with ambition! Go into the Abyss!” the Elven God King said without hesitation, ”Rose was driven out! Even if I can’t beat them, do they have the power to kill me? Or rather, do they have the guts to kill me?”

Has this guy reached the point of recklessness? Was he forgoing the dignity of the Divine King and directly using Coron to intimidate others?

The consequences of being bitten by a dog, so terrible?

Rabies doesn’t manifest like this!

The Dwarf King was silent for a while, probably unsure of how to deal with this agent of chaos.

Clearly, unless the Elven God King receives a satisfactory answer, it’s not impossible that he might stab the dwarves in the back when they are fighting with humans.

Just as the Elven God King said, if the elves really stay put in the Forest of the Elves, humans indeed couldn’t do much.

A war of annihilation is not easily initiated.

The reason why elves in this world can do as they please is because they have a very powerful backing, which others truly cannot afford to provoke.

The Elven God King and his father both enjoy utilizing their marriages.

If the Goddess of the Hunt had not been tempted to reach for the moon, then the Moon Elves might indeed have disappeared from this world, but she would certainly be able to be the God Queen of Elves without any issues.

Moreover, most Moon Elves would live in her Divine Kingdom, and with her intelligence, she probably wouldn’t realize if the Moon Elves vanished.

After all, there would still be a tribe called the Moon Elves down there, right?

Covering up the murderous intentions underneath with a seemingly warm surface, the way of the elves, like boiling frogs in warm water, does not cross the bottom line of the World Will.

Although they extracted the Wood Element and delayed the awakening of the Goddess of the Earth, they didn’t pose such a big threat to the world.

Their true offense was against Silvermoon and the Sun God, who stood with Silvermoon.

Thus, no matter how revolting the actions of the elves, for humans, they are just a hateful enemy and not an existence that must be eliminated.

Or to put it bluntly, humans can’t afford the risk of being completely annihilated by the powerful deity behind the Elven God King by trying to eradicate all elves.

Humans, of course, would like to eliminate the strong enemy that is the elves. Why keep them to cause trouble for humans later?

But everyone knows it’s impossible.

Just a crest is enough to leave so many deities helpless.

Everyone understands that when the Elf King falls, it will surely capture the attention of that powerful deity.

Such a powerful deity, truly not to be offended.

All humans can do is to keep the elves within the Forest of the Elves, with no more room to expand further.

After all, the elves’ dream of dominating this world has already utterly failed.

Hill, leaning against the window, watched the God King who continued to throw tantrums, unsure what outcome he wanted to achieve.

But from the divine thrones of the human deities that all twinkled, it was clear everyone was enjoying the spectacle.

The Dwarf King tried to say something several times, but after hemming and hawing, he gave up.

It’s probably because he never expected the Elven God King, who always cared so much about face, to change so abruptly, as if he had jumped straight from the Sun God Temple into Rose’s web!

Now, those watching were all waiting to see how this Dwarf King would organize his words to calm down the furious Elf King.

It was like a group of people standing outside a cage, waiting to see if the dog trainer could calm down a biting dog and, if so, how long it would take.

The Dwarf King, lowering his rough voice, tried to keep his tone calm, ”Whatever happens, we are still allies, why should we be the joke for human gods to see?”

”What does it matter?” the Elven God King suddenly shot an arrow toward the divine throne of the Dwarf Queen.

The Dwarf King nearly exploded with rage as he blocked the arrow, ”Have you gone mad?”

”I didn’t succeed, did I? Why are you angry too?” the Elven God King said, leisurely putting away his bow and arrow. In doing this, he was not only seeking revenge on the dwarves but also providing an important clue to humans.

This deity, who hardly ever speaks up and always presents herself as a loving mother, is actually the central figure in the Dwarf Deity System.

Most likely, she’s also vying for the Earth Deity position.

Her divinity certainly is not limited to being the Dwarf God’s Queen and the mother of all dwarves.

Hill had read the introduction, always believing she was a typical household goddess of the dwarves, but if she wanted to reach for the Earth divinity, was she aiming to be the mother of all races?

”Do you wish to sever our alliance?” the Dwarf God said in a lowered voice, full of anger.

”What alliance? Merely temporary collaborators,” the Elven God King said with utter disregard, but just a short time ago in battle, they addressed each other as allies!

”What exactly do you want?” the Dwarf King finally lost control.

”You should take care of the demons first!” sneered the Elven God King. ”Consorting with an Evil God only proves you are up to no good. Raising demons, not to mention being backstabbed by them, merely proves your stupidity!

I could never ally myself with a race that openly cooperates with demons!

Do you really think I would let an irrelevant treaty disappoint my father?”

The Elven God King didn’t hesitate to say, ”Nothing, no one, can make me forsake my father’s support!”

Hill propped his chin, suspecting that Coron’s gaze had turned his way after the crest had shattered.

Otherwise, why would this Divine King, who never cared about demon matters, suddenly display such fury and contempt for demons?

Besides, not only did his own crest shatter, it was Rose who had done it. Even if Coron were busy, he would still spare a glance.

This ex-wife who fell into evil and was exiled by him has become an enemy worthy of Coron’s attention.

If Coron were watching as the elves still had dealings with demons, it’s likely the Elven God King would not only lose all protection but also be kicked into the Abyss.

With Rose in the Abyss, he certainly wouldn’t march to his death there.

And he’s not like Blackskin; he couldn’t bear days without the forest.

”So, the elves aren’t part of the Evil Faction?” a misty voice suddenly rang out, and a ray of moonlight appeared beside the Elven God King.

”Silvermoon!” the Elven God King shouted angrily, ”Haven’t you taken your revenge already?”

”I came to see if a dog bit you and you’ve gone mad,” Silvermoon said with a cheerful, bell-like laugh. After laughing for a while, she continued, ”There’s the gaze of a foreign deity upon you!”

”It seems this deity really detests the Abyss,” she said, revealing her form and circling the Elven God King, ”So, despite knowing that your protector despises demons and Evil Gods, you still cooperate with them?”

”I do not!” the Elven God King scoffed. ”The ones collaborating with me are the dwarves! As for what the dwarves do, I need not concern myself with it, as long as it doesn’t affect me!”

”With such an air of self-assurance, it seems you really haven’t crossed that guest’s line,” Silvermoon said seriously, nodding, ”So why the urgency? Ah! Almost let the dwarf and demon pitfall affect the relationship with the Forest of the Elves, did you?

Is that guest’s requirement that you can engage in schemes, but not be too foolish?”

The moonlight flickered, and Silvermoon flashed back to her Divine Kingdom, avoiding the arrow shot by the enraged Elven God King.

She left only her clear laughter and a sentence in the air: ”But you are so foolish!”

Silvermoon actually sensed Coron’s power?

It seems that the Father of Elves is indeed on high alert about Rose’s emergence.

But how could the Elven God King, known for hating evil, dare claim in front of Him that as long as I don’t cooperate with the Abyss, it’s fine?

This guy must be Coron’s own offspring!

Hill dared not say it aloud, but inside, he loudly cursed a few times.

The Elven God King might not be able to kill him, but Coron certainly could; he decided it was better to be cowardly!

Distracted by Silvermoon, the Dwarf King finally contained his rage, understanding that in Coron’s sight, the Elven God King would definitely not renew any alliance with him.

The Dwarf King struggled to maintain his calm, ”You’ve also tricked us dwarves once; shall we call this temporarily even? Even if we can’t form an alliance, at least do not give humans an opportunity!”

”I just need to protect the Forest of the Elves,” declared the Elven God King loudly. ”If any demon you’re colluding with comes again! After I kill him, I’ll still hold you accountable!”

The Dwarf King replied indifferently, ”I’m also looking for him.”

Hill couldn’t help but laugh; how very interesting.

The Dwarf King can’t find a demon on his own territory?

”Need help?” the voice of the Sun God rang out; it seems he, too, was enjoying the spectacle, ”I assure you, not an inch of land will be overlooked.”

The Dwarf King didn’t respond to the Sun God, but continued to address the Elven God King, ”But for now, there’s no need to make enemies of the dwarves, right?”

The Elven God King turned and walked toward his Divine Kingdom, ”Not enemies, but not friends either.”

Hill couldn’t help but laugh; all this was merely empty talk.

It seems he hasn’t given up on becoming the master of this world.

He’s just planning to continue waiting.

Humans cannot be eternally powerful, and the World Will might not allow the Undead Tribe to exist for over ten thousand years.

Humans could never outnumber the strength of the elves.

The limitations of lifespan filled the Elven God King with boundless confidence.

But he probably doesn’t understand; should short-lived humans be given a thousand years of peace, their population would explode to unimaginable levels.

William, who values population so dearly, hasn’t attracted their attention at all!

Has the Undead pulled all their focus away?
