Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 364: Chapter 163 Wealthy Client William

After taking a closer look at the filthiest spot that Alice had pointed out, Hill couldn’t help but laugh.

Whether it was the Dwarves’ doing or not, they would never be able to explain it clearly.

Was this a Demon collaborating with the Dwarves, secretly making preparations on the side?

The cleanliness on the Dwarves’ side could only prove that this was their clandestine scheme.

This wasn’t something that could be achieved overnight; such slow infiltration must have been going on for hundreds or even thousands of years.

It was indeed possible for the Dwarves to make a move against the Elves, but not at this time.

They still needed this alliance!

Even if there were schemes, they would have to wait until humans were eliminated, and no one else could challenge the Dwarves for control over the world.

These self-righteous Elves, who thought themselves unbeatably powerful, would surely fall victim to the Dwarves’ machinations.

But with this corrupt force heading straight for the Forest of the Elves, even if Hill hadn’t discovered it, in a few hundred years, the Forest of the Elves would be corrupted.

Trees can directly absorb the Demonic Aura from the soil.

This is different from those Elves living in Central City, who are courting death.

That is something that can be explained clearly, right? After all, many Dwarves also live there, don’t they?

When it comes to Demons, Elves and Dwarves probably have an unspoken agreement.

They might not be involved, but they must know about the collusion between the Dwarves and Demons.

Since they know there’s a problem with Central City and still choose to live there, the Elves should be psychologically prepared.

Isn’t it normal for them to be inadvertently corrupted by this Demon Power?

Who knows, there might even be some demonized Dwarves shown to the Elves.

But if the Forest of the Elves were to be corrupted, then there would be nothing left to say.

Even if the Dwarves had a hundred mouths, they probably couldn’t explain it away, not to mention that this race doesn’t have mouths at all.

Thinking they could manipulate Demons, this is what they end up with.

Even the Abyssal Evil God wouldn’t have such grand ambitions.

As for that hill nearly 5000 meters away, Hill suspected there was a Demon’s lair there; perhaps all the Demons transformed over the millennia by Central City were there.

But the one collaborating with the Dwarves probably isn’t there, at most it’s someone of Legendary Rank.

No matter how high-level they are, or how strong their hidden abilities, they would not stay near the Forest of the Elves. The Divine King, no matter how arrogant, wouldn’t allow such a creature to stay nearby.

They should be on the Dwarves’ side, where no other race’s Deities would search.

Every time there was a Demon invasion, the Deities would thoroughly search the area. Divine Power would sweep across the land time and time again. A Legendary could hide, but anything higher simply couldn’t.

It’s unknown which race’s Demon would collude with the Dwarven God only to plan a betrayal now.

But was the initial plan of the Goddess of the Hunt to trap those two Dwarven Gods?

No wonder, as the Main God of the Dwarves, they couldn’t even kill a stupid deer.

The final words spoken by the Goddess of the Hunt on behalf of those two Dwarven Gods confused many.

Hill looked up at the sky helplessly, regretting why he had believed the judgement of this notoriously foolish Goddess!

No wonder Rose said that the Goddess of the Hunt had long been in the bag for her.

Hill walked around on the deck, while Merkel, who had gone out with Alice, knowing the seriousness of the matter, watched him worriedly.

”What does this have to do with me?” Hill stood still and said, ”If the sky falls, let the tall ones bear it! There is a Human leader below! Why should I care?”

He went straight to William’s King’s Ship; this matter had to be dealt with by His Majesty the King.

After hearing Hill’s words and glancing at the white cat in his arms, William shook his head helplessly, ”The Spirit of Nature really is different. In places where even the Deities cannot see through, a cat that has awakened the Power of the Sun managed to find it so easily.”

He had been using his power to search the area recently, suspecting that these Demons hadn’t gone far, but he couldn’t find them.

He had also asked All Gods for help, but to no avail.

After all, Deities can only reside In the Starry Sky, which is too far away.

Without descending in their True Forms, even the Sun God sensitive to evil couldn’t penetrate the earth.

No one expected that there would be a Spirit of Nature who had awakened the Law of the Sun.

He quickly figured out that Hill must have hung the Semi-Divine Artifact Painting imbued with the power of the sun god in his Magic Tower.

Ordinary people couldn’t do that.

Who can guarantee they have no evil thoughts? Hill really is a lucky star.

William took a careful look at Hill, and then was blinded by the multicolored lights enveloping him.

It was quite normal for this child to be lucky; World Will’s favor goes without saying, and William himself saw deep traces of the World Will on him, much deeper than Hill’s. But that only ensured his actions in this world went smoothly, certainly not as fortunate as Hill.

But the favor Hill received from the Natural Consciousness, the blessings of the Sun and Moon, all were things that could increase luck.

It’s also unknown what Hill had done to leave such a deep mark of the Water Law, let alone the Earth.

Luckily, ordinary people can’t see it, otherwise, they would all die of envy.

William looked outside the King’s Ship, just in time to see most of the high-ranking members of the Undead Tribe had returned today.

He issued a mission directly.

Hill had already heard the excited shouts of the Undead Tribe: ”Area tasks! I knew it was a good thing to come back early!”

”It’s a good thing William said to get to the camp early, so I did! Let them wander aimlessly!”

The Undead Tribe quickly formed up and set off, while more people who had just gotten the news kept running out of the Teleportation Array.

William only waited for them for 10 minutes before he flashed to a small hill in the distance.

Knowing that Demons were below, William naturally didn’t hold back.

It had been so long without a peep from below, it was impossible there were any innocents.

Otherwise, with his daily frequency of Divine Power scanning, he would have noticed something amiss long ago.

He directly used a Magician’s common powerful spell, slicing space.

But he conjured dozens of massive spatial rifts.

The small hill, along with the thousand meters below, was directly cut into pieces by him.

A giant body, glowing with firelight, used its arms to shield itself and howled as it charged at William.

It was a Legendary Rank scythe demon!

The Undead Tribe’s Mages had already rushed over and were casting Blizzards down into the dark, misty cave from midair.

William frowned and emotionlessly turned the scythe demon into rubble.

”Please bring me a magnificent victory! Plant sunflowers in every corner of this place!” He glanced down briefly, then turned and returned to the King’s Ship.

A message lingered in the air: ”Dig a thousand meters deep from here to Central City, then from Central City towards the direction of the Human Kingdom for three thousand kilometers.

In the direction of the Forest of the Elves, only dig up to the small forest a thousand kilometers ahead.”

Hill, who stayed behind to watch the excitement, saw Fran flying over in a hurry: ”Your Majesty the King!”

William, who had just sat down, nearly laughed when he saw Hill suddenly spring up.

Had he truly not considered that after digging a kilometer deep, his grandfather’s construction plans would probably all need to be redone?

Hill had truly forgotten.

Only when he saw Fran rushing over with a stack of papers did he realize that, since the digging was done, William would definitely make use of these places.

And Fran was the Architect of this place.

Hill shrank to one side, not daring to speak anymore; he had overlooked this.

In this world, there is no such thing as a fixed construction budget that cannot be changed, where changes always mean cuts.

”Your Majesty the King!” Fran said with a displeased face, ”A full-scale defensive castle cannot possibly be expanded to such an extent.”

”No need! No need!” William almost laughed out loud at the sight of the fidgety Hill.

”The core remains the original. Of course, the bigger, the better. The remaining areas will form the outer city, and beyond that, all will be planted with flowers and plants. The kind that is shorter and thinner, must not be able to support people sitting on or merging with it.”

He glanced at Hill: ”You should have plenty of those seeds, right Hill? I’ll come to you when I need them.

The excavated soil from the back, that park can’t accommodate it; we’ll just have to pile it towards the direction of the Forest of the Elves and plant sunflowers. Otherwise, who knows what the Elves will do.

Towards the Elves’ side, I will have the Undead Tribe convert it into slightly harder stone walls. Although Sunflower seeds are easy to come by, I don’t wish for the seeds from our side to just fly over there.”

Fran thought it over, confirmed this wouldn’t cause him any trouble, then turned and left the room, casually grabbing Hill by the collar—as he held the cat, not daring to utter a sound—and dragged him toward the hall’s entrance.

Fortunately, he remembered that his grandson was old enough; he let go of Hill at the door: ”Come back with me; I have a lot of questions to ask you!”

Hill, hanging his head, obediently followed Fran back to the Magic Tower.

”Why would Hill’s grandfather be angry?” Alice quietly asked.

This cat, in front of William, didn’t dare to say a single word.

No movement at all, its head tucked under Hill’s arm.

Only upon arriving here did it suddenly become lively.

”I should have told my grandfather first, to prepare him mentally.” Hill quietly responded, earning him a cold glance from Fran.

Fran also knew that Hill really hadn’t considered that William might expand the castle.

Even though Fran and Hill were considered wealthy, an already planned building, even if there’s a chance to expand it, wouldn’t generally waste unnecessary funds.

Moreover, gathering materials would take more time.

Who increases their bid in the middle of a project unless it’s at the beginning of the plan?

But William was different. Not only was he wealthy, but he also had the Undead Tribe, which could rapidly bring materials.

People with deep pockets have the privilege of being capricious.

”How did you suddenly discover there was a problem over there?” Fran asked Hill to sit down and talk.

”Alice has awakened the powers of the sun and moon,” Hill indicated the white cat in his hands. ”She went out to play before and came back saying that place reeked.”

An awakened Spirit of Nature with the Power of the Sun!

Fran was taken aback and took a careful look at the cat.

Suddenly, Fran laughed, ”Foolish Elves, thinking they can stand aloof and remain unaffected by events? Looks like neither the Dwarves nor the Demons are planning to let them off, huh?”

Hill nodded in agreement: ”The Dwarves have also been schemed against.”

”Who has a good ending working with Demons?” Fran said dismissively.
