Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 353: Chapter 152 Setting Off for Hill in Central City

Even when scolded furiously, the God of Nobility and the Goddess of Love silently squatted in the Divine Kingdom.

Their main goal now was to maintain the stability of the God of Nobility’s faction.

But the God of Nobility probably worried that, given his habitually arrogant demeanor, the more he did, the worse the outcome might be.

Hill smiled as he poured himself a glass of fruit wine, watching William floating in the air.

In the end, he could only keep a stern face and send Dionysio to look for him.

The affairs of the Noble Church needed no management from William, nor could he meddle in them.

With the Pope, Dionysio, placed there, William could simply assign him the tasks that needed doing.

As for the bishops of the Noble Church in the Hundred Cities Alliance, if anyone dared to trouble him,

William wouldn’t mind killing a few who were foolish enough to defy his orders.

However, those cardinals, though unaccustomed to working, were conscientiously following behind the Undead, not daring to stray a step.

Like in the past, they wouldn’t dare sit in luxurious carriages, watching others fight to the death here.

This concerned the overall inclination of the Noble Church’s faction and also affected the deities above their heads.

No one was willing or ready to end up like the former subordinates of the Human God of Smithing and Craft.

They still aspired to be honored guests in other countries, certainly not wishing to become evil bishops.

Even less did they want to be suddenly slaughtered in a blood sacrifice.

Even though they swindled, were driven by lust, and oppressed the commoners,

they never thought they would just slide into the evil faction.

Hill silently summed it up for himself and, raising his hand, sympathized with William. These guys had actually never crossed humanity’s baseline into evil.

This only proved that the moral bottom line of humans as a race was quite low.

Endless desires were the sources of human progress.

For their own desires to attain higher status and more potent powers was the axiom adhered by the humans of this world.

Therefore, the humans of this world always felt that those in high positions, doing a bit of outrageous things, was nothing to make a fuss about.

If William’s current actions could slightly elevate the moral baseline of this world’s humans, that would likely be his greatest merit.

At least, the entire world wouldn’t so easily slide into the abyss.

High-level undead had already returned to Central City, planning to attack both the Dwarves and Elves simultaneously.

William was deploying his troops.

He conjured a throne again, floating slightly beyond Central City in the air.

Six ships had already landed on the ground.

William was directing the Undead to completely excavate beneath Central City.

The city’s location could threaten both the Forest of the Elves and the Dwarf Kingdom simultaneously.

William planned to build a new city nearby.

But he still had to excavate a kilometer into the ground to see how much the land had been polluted by demons in Central City.

The Pope of the Noble Church, Dionysio, had already rushed over.

The once-commander who had led troops north to Saral, now stood respectfully beside William, waiting for his instructions.

The Noble Church’s people really exhibited a clear noble flexibility — capable of humbling themselves or standing firm.

One would think the Pope’s status was a bit below William’s, but basically, they were level.

But when in need, nobles really knew how to shed their pride!

William hadn’t taken up past issues of attacking Saral with him since he was now cooperating with the God of Nobility.

Since he had the upper hand, bullying someone who was bowing to him wasn’t his style.

So, William directly summoned a chair from the ship for the Pope to sit on.

As he gestured here and there on the map with Dionysio, the Silvermoon that was hanging in the sky suddenly cast a beam of light, and a vague figure of the Goddess appeared next to William.

It seemed just a projection, merely outlined by the moonlight.

Both William and Dionysio stood up to greet her.

The Goddess of the Silvermoon floated in midair, smiling as she motioned for them to sit down.

”I’m here to see William.” The Goddess of the Silvermoon floated closer to William, almost sitting on his armrest. ”You and the God of Time and Space seem to know why that Abyssal Goddess hates the Elven God King so much!

Do tell~ I’m really curious~”

William looked pained as he watched the coquettish Goddess of the Silvermoon. This being dared to come here to feast on the disputes between Rose and Coron, but he didn’t even dare to speak out!

”The owner of the badge might be watching here too!”

”Just reveal a little bit~” the Goddess of the Silvermoon playfully gestured with her index fingers.

William thought for a moment, ”I can only reveal a little since those two might be watching. The World Will is already quite miserable, let’s not add to its burden.”

The Silvermoon happily nodded her head.

Even Dionysio, who was sitting silently on the chair, leaned forward slightly to listen.

”The owner of the badge is the Father of Elves. All elves are His children. The Abyssal Goddess is the Father of Elves’ ex-wife.”

”Is that it?” the Goddess of the Silvermoon exclaimed.

”The Father of Elves is very affectionate.

After betraying Him, the Abyssal Goddess was cast into the abyss.”

Fran watched the Goddess of the Silvermoon, his gaze threatening Her to retract the words that almost slipped from Her lips.

Whether it was cursing Coron as not a real man or sympathizing with Rose, both would only invite trouble.

Nobody knew whether Rose had become involved in schemes and plots out of disappointment with her husband, or if she was innately the incarnation of evil.

In any case, with their feeble world, it was best not to stir up such significant trouble.

The Goddess of the Silvermoon circled around Fran a few times and saw that he had completely shut up before asking, ”Why do you know?”

”In my former world, there were legends about them.”

”But you don’t come from Their world either! The legends exist in other worlds too, so why do you still keep silent and refuse to say anything?”

”Because these words should not come from my mouth.” Even when looking at the beautiful Goddess of the Silvermoon acting coy, Fran remained unmoved.

The Goddess of the Silvermoon, seeing that Fran completely ignored Her, could only dissipate Her form in frustration.

”You really are...” Dionysio slowly said.

”This one is of the Chaos System.” Fran glanced at Dionysio, ”We cannot give Her any chance to act impulsively.”

Suddenly, Dionysio nodded and said, ”Chaos is too terrifying!”

During the time when the God of Nobility was entangled with the Abyss, many followers in the Noble Temple had completely turned into demons.

This was also why Fran was willing to take over the Noble Church with these Cardinals.

Those truly unforgivable had already turned into demons.

Dionysio, who had been responsible for cleansing the demons from the Noble Temple during this time, must have faced many challenges.

Even if the nobles fell into the Evil Faction, they were usually lawful, and it was hard for them to comprehend such chaotic madness.

As the sun rose, Hill was surprised to see Fran appearing in Central City.

It seemed he was planning to contribute to the rebuilding of the city.

But for a city that needed a Legendary Alchemist Master for its construction. was Fran planning to turn it into a city of war?

However, what Hill was sure of was that this would be a protracted war.

That’s why Fran had summoned so many of the Undead.

He had long been prepared for this enduring battle.

Hill saw Fran release his Spiral Magic Tower and smiled slightly.

From now on, he probably wouldn’t need to watch over it daily.

Especially since Snow Cloud Peak had brought people to the outskirts of Hill’s valley again.

With the Teleportation Array now in place, their entrance into the valley to seek Magical Beast friends became a routine task.

Thus, the war with Elves and Dwarves might soon be listed on the Undead’s daily battle roster.

Hill went straight back to the Magic Tower to continue arranging High-Level Wind Magic Spells.

Until two days later when Fran suddenly contacted him.

The tone of the Alchemist Master was calm, but Hill felt the suppressed rage in it.

”Hill, if you have time, come to Central City!” Fran spoke in a deep voice, ”The land here has been contaminated.”

Was it related to the Demon’s Blood Pool?

Hill nodded in surprise and agreed, ”I’ll come right away.”

This was a long-distance Teleportation Array.

Fortunately, Hill was wealthy, so the new features were readily made available by List without any hesitation.

Building such an ultra-long-distance Teleportation Array on private property required a fee of 10,000 Elemental Crystals payable to Space-Time Church.

This was the first time Space-Time Church was collecting a fee.

Hill recalled how, initially, he had pondered how the Space-Time Church would sustain, given it didn’t require believers’ donations or land income. Despite its independence from Saral and the Space-Time Church, there were still many priests and bishops.

The Undead’s teleportation cost only 1 crystal, but the crystals invested were actually consumed by the Divine Array for teleportation, and any leftovers remained within the array.

Although these people also sold Holy Water and some Divine Artifacts, that was only sufficient to sustain their daily lives.

The Space-Time Church, with fewer than a thousand members, would have to purchase their own materials if they were to build churches in other countries!

Would they really rely on the God of Time and Space to mine Elemental Ore in other worlds for sustenance?

But with the introduction of this ultra-long-distance Teleportation Array, Hill knew that the nobles would soon pay up.

Spanning the distance of seven countries, it was the closest to the Elves and Dwarves.

And it was during a war between Elves and Dwarves.

The special products from the Forest of Elves and Dwarf Kingdom, popular across seven countries, were now extinct.

Anyone who could find a route there was looking at a future filled with immense wealth.

However, the cost of initiating the Teleportation Array was truly massive.

After all, these 10,000 crystals were purely an outlay, and even if the cost of long-distance teleportation increased to 5 crystals, the money wouldn’t go to the lord.

If the Space-Time Church was collecting so much money, it meant that teleportation required the power of 5 crystals.

The Array calculated the consumption per person, and even if multiple people used the Teleportation Array simultaneously, they could not share the load.

Unless someone was planning to get lost in the rifts of time and space.

Hill looked at the silver-white vortex beside him, the flickering spatial rifts in the distance, noting that this teleportation was taking a long time!

He had previously felt the spatial jumps during teleportation, but this was the first time he saw the reality outside the tunnel during the jump.

Hill quite liked that dangerously beautiful sight.
