Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1244: Chapter 671: Screams (Part 3)

Zhou Yun said, ”I’m a bit surprised right now, I don’t know what to say.”

”You don’t need to say anything, I’m just telling you this.”

”Then... did you two keep in touch afterwards?” Zhou Yun asked.

Wen Bing said, ”When she returned to the country, she contacted me and asked to meet up.”

”And you two?”

”Nothing.”

Wen Bing said, ”It’s all in the past.”

Zhou Yun understood in her heart.

”I really didn’t expect this at all.”

Wen Bing nodded, saying, ”I know.”

Both fell silent for a while.

Wen Bing said, ”I’m heading back, you should go in as well, the setup should be almost ready.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

She continued to look up at the clouds in the sky for a while before turning to the film set.

Halfway there, she encountered the assistant director hurrying out, searching for her, saying they were ready to film the next scene.

Zhou Yun went to practice lines with Liu Gang.

The scene to be shot next involved Liu Gang pulling a dagger from his body to engage in close combat with Zhou Yun.

This close combat scene, according to Wen Bing’s estimate, would take five to seven days to shoot.

For the scene to be thrilling and visually captivating, this much time was necessary.

It required grinding shot by shot.

Zhou Yun and Liu Gang had filmed together for several days, becoming fairly familiar with each other.

Liu Gang was consulting with the action director.

Zhou Yun observed for a moment, primarily thinking about how to execute the moves for better effect.

Before filming commenced, she stretched her muscles, causing her face to flush with pain, and only when the redness subsided did she nod at the camera.

Ready to shoot.

Wen Bing called out to start filming.

Zhou Yun charged forward like an arrow, elbow bent, right hand clenched in a fist against her chest, the tip of her elbow aiming like a hammer at Liu Gang’s chin.

Liu Gang slightly tilted his head back to evade Zhou Yun’s attack.

”Cut!” Wen Bing shouted.

Zhou Yun stopped her movements, turning to look at Wen Bing.

Wen Bing said, ”Hold on, the lighting is off.”

Zhou Yun and Liu Gang had to pause again.

Zeng Yeng, upon hearing Wen Bing’s reason for halting, was confused and approached to ask, ”What’s off?”

”The lighting in yesterday’s shot differs from today’s,” Wen Bing said, calling over the lighting technician and comparing yesterday’s footage, revealing a noticeable disparity. Today’s lighting was indeed brighter than yesterday’s.

Since they used natural light for filming over multiple days, such issues were normal.

Under these circumstances, the lighting had to be adjusted on set.

Zhou Yun and Liu Gang sat nearby, waiting for the lighting adjustments.

The wait lasted half an hour.

Zeng Yeng several times wanted to say something to Wen Bing but held back.

It wasn’t a major issue; after previous collaborations with Wen Bing, Zeng Yeng was familiar with his temperament and preferred not to strain their relationship over minor issues. Hence, she chose to endure this without reproaching Wen Bing.

However, Wen Bing’s demands for lighting were extremely high, requiring nearly ten adjustments before achieving the desired effect.

It was already half past eleven in the morning.

Time to eat.

Wen Bing said, ”Once the sun moves past, the lighting will change again. Let’s finish the scene first.”

Zhou Yun and Liu Gang both nodded in agreement.

The scene finally commenced filming, taking two hours.

Zhou Yun and Liu Gang were drenched in sweat, frequently pausing for makeup touch-ups and to wipe sweat away.

Wen Bing was highly enthusiastic about the filming, praising Zhou Yun and Liu Gang multiple times.

”Let’s get one more shot, then eat,” Wen Bing said.

Zhou Yun was already feeling exhausted, nodding to Wen Bing, saying, ”Director, after this shot, I really need to rest, I’m out of strength.”

Wen Bing gestured OK to her.

But this shot encountered an issue.

When Liu Gang thrust the dagger towards Zhou Yun, according to plan, Zhou Yun was to block it with her protective wrist, but her arm lifted too slowly, and the dagger directly grazed her finger.

Fortunately, the dagger used for filming wasn’t sharp.

Yet the pain was excruciating.

Zhou Yun’s left-hand middle finger nail was half torn, a bloody mess.

She cried out in agony on the spot.

At this moment,
