Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1207: Chapter 660: Public Opinion

”How about we both stop singing?” Song Chi said, ”Let’s do what we’re best at and perform a short scene.”

”No singing? Changing the program? Will the director agree?” Zhou Yun asked in surprise.

Song Chi said, ”No change in the program, it’s still the performance of this song, but the singing part will be given to other singers, we will interpret the song by doing a scene performance.”

Zhou Yun immediately understood what Song Chi meant.

Many singers have dancers beside them interpreting the scenarios of the song through dance during performances.

Song Chi plans to do a scene performance based on the song’s content.

”Will this work?” Zhou Yun thought for a moment, ”It actually might work.”

The director group’s requirement is for Zhou Yun and Song Chi to complete a performance together, but it doesn’t necessarily involve singing.

If they change the form of performance from singing to acting, Zhou Yun wouldn’t have to worry about lip-syncing anymore.

This change only needs a singer to take on what they were supposed to sing.

Finding a singer isn’t difficult, there’s a ready-made Guan Xiaohe in the lounge.

She’s a professional singer, able to perform at the Spring Festival Gala, her singing ability is surely high, and she has already passed the approval for the gala.

After Zhou Yun and Song Chi discussed, they felt it was viable, so they went to find the chief director to discuss.

As expected, the chief director didn’t directly reject this proposal.

Considering Zhou Yun and Song Chi’s current status, any opinion they bring up, as long as it’s not unreasonable, the director group would certainly consider.

The chief director said, ”I need to discuss your proposal with others, but now it’s less than fifteen days before New Year’s Eve, can you get your performance content together in such a short time? We only have less than two rehearsals before then, and the final rehearsal has to adhere to the live broadcast standard.”

Song Chi said, ”Rather than spending a hundred days to practice singing a song, let us spend one day researching a scene performance, it will be more effective, we are professional actors.”

”Alright.” The chief director nodded, ”Song Chi, Zhou Yun, you start designing, I will also notify Guan Xiaohe, but I need to communicate this with others first, next rehearsal you need to present a formal performance, we need to see the program content, if it passes, I would agree to change the program format.”

”No problem,” Song Chi agreed readily.

This song tells a love story.

The program’s duration is 3 minutes and 12 seconds, Song Chi and Zhou Yun’s scene performance needs to fit within these 3 minutes and 12 seconds.

Once Zhou Yun and Song Chi decided, they went straight to work.

First, they extract the content of the lyrics, then design the scene.

”Let’s just showcase the normal scenarios when we interact,” Song Chi said, ”No need to design anything special, the more we design, the stronger the design feels, and it loses its purity.”

”Alright,” Zhou Yun nodded in agreement.

Because Song Chi needed to hurry back to the film crew to shoot, they didn’t have much time, even dinner wasn’t eaten properly, the assistant brought back boxed meals, and they sat on the rehearsal room floor, discussing while eating.

”I think we should incorporate Guan Xiaohe into the performance,” Zhou Yun said, ”It won’t look good if we’re performing our parts on one side and she’s singing on her part.”

She said, ”You head back to the film crew, I’ll go find Guan Xiaohe, and bring her over to meet you.”

Zhou Yun didn’t have other work scheduled, she thought that if Guan Xiaohe wanted to seize this opportunity, she would definitely clear her schedule too.

The chief director had already talked to Guan Xiaohe, asking her to start practicing the song ahead of time but also mentioned that everything is still uncertain, nobody knows how the performance will eventually be presented.

But for Guan Xiaohe, it was a hidden blessing.

She initially thought she was eliminated from the Spring Festival Gala, but unexpectedly got another chance.

Even if this chance is uncertain.

It’s still good news.

When Zhou Yun found Guan Xiaohe, Guan Xiaohe was practicing the song at the hotel.

Upon hearing Zhou Yun’s arrival, Guan Xiaohe happily went to the door to greet her.

”Sister Xiao Yun, thank you for this opportunity!” Guan Xiaohe exclaimed in gratitude upon seeing her.
