Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1211: Chapter 661: About Time

——I wonder if Zhou Yun and Song Chi still have the face to perform on stage. If you ask me, they should discuss with the director’s team and use the excuse of feeling unwell to back out of the performance.

——How can you just cancel a Spring Festival performance? Do you know what kind of stage this is?

——What kind of quality can a program rehearsed in five days have? Do they think it’s easy to fool us? I admit Zhou Yun and Song Chi are skilled actors, but with so many people watching the Spring Festival show, they should be well-prepared to perform instead of treating it so casually.

——It’s not like Zhou Yun and Song Chi wanted to be in the Spring Festival Gala themselves; they were personally invited by the director’s team!

——It doesn’t matter if the director’s team invited them, they should give their 100% effort since they’ll be on the show. I heard Song Chi was still filming on set three days ago.

——You people don’t know the situation. Stop talking nonsense, okay? Are Song Chi and Zhou Yun the kind of celebrity artists who must be in the Spring Festival Gala? Even if they don’t appear, would anyone not recognize them? The director’s team is banking on their combined popularity to attract viewers. Among domestic celebrity couples, who has more fame and influence than they do? Plus, they’re the most representative young actors in our country!

...

Chaos echoed throughout the internet.

This song is called ”About Time.”

Fans of Zhou Yun, Song Chi, and Guan Xiaohe sat early in front of the TV or live-streaming screens waiting for the program.

Many of their fans didn’t engage in online arguments.

They believed in their idols, confident that they wouldn’t make a fool of the program or the audience.

They trust that once the show airs, everyone’s feelings will change.

Meanwhile, Zhou Yun and the others were also waiting.

Although the Spring Festival Gala had scheduled programs, the live broadcast and the countdown to midnight put a lot of pressure on time control, and the sequence of programs often needed adjustment according to the on-site situation.

”About Time” was originally scheduled to air around 10:00.

However, due to adjustments in previous programs, ”About Time” was moved forward.

Receiving the notice, Zhou Yun and others took a deep breath and got ready to go to the stage.

Song Chi took her hand and said, ”All the best.”

The three waited behind the scenes for the previous sketch to end, then prepared to go on stage.

Zhou Lan took a picture of the three of them, unbeknownst to them, of course.

Zhou Lan knew Zhou Yun was under a lot of stress at the moment.

The doubts about this program online were equally significant.

Zhou Lan believed they would succeed, and before that, there was no need to say anything.

Zhou Yun wasn’t the type to have poor mental strength; she was an undeniable ”competition-type contestant.”

Zhou Lan knew.

Finally, the previous program ended.

A number of actors exited the stage, while on the other side, the host seamlessly began cracking jokes.

Zhou Yun and the group went to the designated location to await their turn.

Their program was the only song in today’s Spring Festival Gala without extra dancers, just the three of them.

Since Song Chi and Zhou Yun had a performance at the scene, adding dancers would affect the visual impact significantly.

The stage lights were dim.

The three were ready at their specified spots.

Zhou Yun took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

——Let’s welcome Song Chi, Zhou Yun, and Guan Xiaohe to bring us ”About Time.”

Music started to play.

The lights gradually brightened.

On the screen, Guan Xiaohe appeared in a moon-white cheongsam, gently sitting on a swing, looking at the camera with a refined smile.

Behind her, the stars were sparse, the river flowed silently, almost lifelike.

Zhou Yun came over with a radiant smile, extending her hand as she passed by Guan Xiaohe, gesturing towards her right wrist, where a thin red string was tied.

Guan Xiaohe displayed a smile of surprise.

Zhou Yun nodded cheerfully, as if confirming something with her, revealing a youthful purity and brightness in her face and eyes.

The melody was reminiscent, filled with a sense of time, and nostalgia.

Guan Xiaohe turned to watch Zhou Yun leap forward with dance steps, a gentle, smiling expression in her eyes.

She picked up the microphone and sang the first line of the song.

As the voice echoed, Zhou Yun’s steps halted, as someone appeared before her.

Song Chi stood under a street lamp, wearing a black school uniform, reading the book in his hand.
