Chapter 136: Chapter 132: Take Off! Selected for the Expert Consensus Editorial and Review Committee

Over the next few days, Wu Ting and Jin Yan began integrating ultrasound-assisted technology into the joint research of Yan Xi and Ling Ling.

At the same time, Cheng Feng, Yan Xi, and Ling Ling began the final drafting of their papers.

During this time, the research center had accumulated a sufficient number of surgical cases, with robust control and experimental groups.

Thanks to everyone’s combined efforts...

Three days later, Wu Ting’s paper, ”Suspended Gasless Abdominal Laparoscopic Appendectomy for Super-Aged Patients,” was officially completed.

On the fourth day, the paper ”Non-invasive Cosmetic Applications of the Wu’s Umbilical Hole Laparoscopic Appendectomy” was officially completed.

On the seventh day, the paper ”Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Combined with the Qi Mechanism Theory of Ascending and Descending” was also completed.

On the tenth day, the paper ”Indocyanine Green Fluorescence Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy” was submitted.

On the eleventh day, the paper ”A Study on the Application of 3D Image-Guided Navigation Platforms and Artificial Intelligence Algorithms” was also successfully completed.

Half a month later, Jin Yan’s paper, ”A Study on Ultrasound-Guided Microwave Therapy Assistance Technology,” was also completed with Wu Ting’s collaborative efforts.

In just half a month, all six papers were finished. After Dr. Ling Ling compiled them, she immediately sent them to her professor.

Professor Ma took this extremely seriously. He immediately held a meeting with the editorial department of the *Jin Country Surgery Journal*. Their next step was to go all-out in preparing for the publication of a special issue dedicated to the Jin Country Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research Center at Fan City First Hospital.

Six papers of such high quality were more than enough for a dedicated special issue.

The editors were in disbelief. Not only had Wu Ting spearheaded all six papers, but the list of collaborators was a veritable who’s who: Dr. Ling Ling from Qinghe City Jiuhua Hospital, Dr. Yan Xi from Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital, and Dr. Jin Yan from Xianglin City Xuanshang University Affiliated Hospital. The lineup was truly formidable.

To highlight the uniqueness of the special issue, the editorial department decided to create a special cover.

After some brainstorming, they decided on a cover featuring Wu Ting leading three beautiful doctors, with the Jin Country Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research Center at Fan City First Hospital in the background.

Special Issue Title: Jin Country Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery—Wu Ting Special Issue.

With Wu Ting leading three beautiful and uniquely-styled doctors, the cover was more eye-catching than a fashion magazine.

A true combination of talent and good looks—a surgical dream team of beauties and a handsome man!

Even Professor Ma Mengchao eagerly anticipated the stir this special issue would cause in the academic world upon its release.

After checking the schedule, Professor Ma Mengchao made a point to call his student, Ling Ling.

”Ling Ling, I’ve reviewed your papers and am already arranging for their publication. Your research center’s special issue will be released next month.”

”Congratulations on this incredible achievement. I’m very proud.”

”Next, I have another important task for you. I need you to take charge of the preparations. I’ll have someone from my team coordinate with you.”

”Once Dr. Wu Ting’s paper on Daytime Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy is published, I plan to launch a national expert consensus on the procedure for Jin Country. Over the next few days, I’ll have Director Ming assist you in drafting the invitation list for the consensus panel.”

”This time, I plan to host the expert consensus conference at your Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research Center. Furthermore, I want your research center’s team to be responsible for drafting the surgical consensus on Daytime Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.”

”I plan to use Dr. Wu Ting’s research as a basis to establish the credentialing standards for surgeons performing Daytime Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, as well as the indications, contraindications, preoperative examinations, scheduling procedures, intraoperative management, postoperative care and patient education, discharge assessment criteria, postoperative patient accompaniment, the postoperative follow-up system, and the assessment of post-discharge complications...”

Clearly, Professor Ma Mengchao had put a great deal of work into this expert consensus. He planned for the final guidelines to be established under the banner of the Fan City research center.

Professor Ma Mengchao’s goal was to truly put Wu Ting and the research center on the national stage, in front of all the country’s experts.

First the special issue, then the expert consensus, followed by the young investigator grant—each step was perfectly linked.

And Wu Ting had not failed to live up to Professor Ma Mengchao’s expectations.

Ling Ling was thrilled as she listened to her professor’s plans. This would have a pivotal impact on the field. Drafting an expert consensus, setting new standards... ’It’s all so exciting just thinking about it,’ she thought.

And all of it stemmed from Wu Ting’s research.

Ling Ling’s admiration for Wu Ting was now boundless, and she felt incredibly fortunate to have joined the research center.

After ending the call with Professor Ma, Ling Ling immediately went to find Wu Ting.

They began drafting the expert consensus on Daytime Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.

At the same time, Director Ming, Professor Ma Mengchao’s trusted subordinate, began working with Ling Ling online to send out invitations to the expert panel.

Even though she had attended numerous academic conferences with Professor Ma, Ling Ling still felt a thrill of excitement as she looked at the list.

Every expert on the list was a titan of the industry, a leading figure in their field.

A quick scan revealed names you’d find in medical textbooks.

Consensus Review and Editorial Committee Members:

...

Professor Fu Dazhi

Professor Liu Rong

Professor Liu Wei

Professor Lü Jianhua

Director Zhang Yaming

Professor Liang Ang

...

Jin Country Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research Center at Fan City First Hospital, Dr. Wu Ting

And the final name on the committee list was none other than Dr. Wu Ting, Professor Ma’s handpicked protégé!

Of course, since Wu Ting was the core of the team drafting the consensus standards, his inclusion on the list was only natural.

Once Dr. Ling Ling had prepared the draft of the consensus standards, she sent it out along with the official invitations to the selected experts.

Being on the same list as these titans was a supreme honor. There was no doubt that after the consensus conference, Wu Ting’s reputation would soar.

...

...

Professor Liang Ang, the director of hepatobiliary surgery at Pinfan Hospital, was one of the country’s top experts in the field.

After receiving the invitation from Dr. Ling Ling and the attached draft of the expert consensus, he began to read it carefully.

’What the hell is Ma Mengchao up to? Hosting such an important expert consensus in Fan City?’

’The Jin Country Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research Center at Fan City First Hospital... what’s that all about? What gives them the right to draft and establish the standards for Daytime Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy?’

Liang Ang took a closer look at the research center’s information:

’Led by Jiuhua Hospital, in cooperation with Haijin Port Hospital and Saint An Hospital. How did these three end up together?’

Liang Ang reviewed the full list of experts again. They were all top figures in the field. The only one he couldn’t place was the last name—Dr. Wu Ting from the research center, who seemed like a mere filler.

’For such a serious expert consensus, Ma Mengchao definitely wouldn’t act recklessly. So, who on earth is this Dr. Wu Ting?’

Liang Ang thought it over. Day surgery had been a hot topic for years, but standards had never been established. No single team had ever dared to draft industry-wide standards, let alone convene so many top experts to review and ratify a consensus.

’For Ma Mengchao to make such a bold move, he must have a trump card,’ Liang Ang mused. In the end, he decided to attend the conference.

This conference, with its star-studded lineup of experts, was a rare opportunity. He decided to bring along some of the promising young doctors from his team.

He also wanted to check out this so-called ”Jin Country Laparoscopic Research Center” and see what all the fuss was about.

「Qinghe City, Jin Country General Hospital」

Professor Liu Rong, the hospital’s vice president and director of hepatobiliary surgery, was also carefully reading the attachment sent by Ling Ling: the draft of the consensus standards, formulated by the Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research Center in Fan City.
