Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 119: Chapter 117: The Inspection Concludes, The Professors’ Decision

After finishing this surgery, the three of them went down to rest.

Watching the three leave, Huo Yun’s face flushed. ’Is there something wrong with those three?’

’Didn’t I tell them in the meeting to be more serious and professional, to showcase the sincere and solid work ethic of the City First Hospital’s Emergency Department?’

”Director Huo, the doctors in your department have excellent psychological fortitude. The team is also very energetic. In all my years of inspections, this is the first time I’ve seen a team with such a great mindset—relaxed yet disciplined, and well-trained.”

”A surgical team that not only displays professional skill but also projects an aura of confidence and ease, creating a relaxed atmosphere—that is what truly puts the families and patients at ease in an operating room.”

”In this regard, even the doctors at my hospital should learn from you. Director Huo, you’ve managed them well! Dean Tang, your Fan City First Hospital is truly impressive!”

”It seems I’ll have to tell those old colleagues of mine that we should take opportunities to properly inspect grassroots hospitals. It’ll help us curb our own arrogance.”

”Director Huo, when our observation is over, could you gift me one of your Wu’s Umbilical Knives as a souvenir?”

Ma Mengchao had nothing but high praise for the City First Hospital’s Emergency Department.

Dean Tang and Huo Yun were both overwhelmed by the flattery.

”Of course, of course. After this is over, I will arrange it for all of you.”

For Professor Ma of Jiuhua Hospital to actually ask for a surgical tool developed by City First Hospital... if word of this got out, it would be a true honor!

Dean Tang had already made up his mind. He would share this little anecdote on their official social media account to subtly boost City First Hospital’s professional image!

”This time, Wu Ting has really brought great honor to our City First Hospital.”

Dean Tang hadn’t felt this elated in a long time.

Huo Yun was bursting with pride.

”Wu Ting, Jiang Ming, Luo Ming, Yasui—these young people are all outstanding!”

The third surgery was another Wu’s Umbilical Hole Laparoscopic Appendectomy. After watching for a while, Wu Ting led the group to another operating room.

Watching the group—who they thought were a supervisory team and some wide-eyed young doctors from lower-tier hospitals—leave, Jiang Ming and the other two grew a little bored.

”I wonder when this Professor Ma will show up. They’re not just stringing us along, are they? After all, would someone of his status and position really come to our operating room to observe?”

”Regardless, everyone needs to stay sharp and pay attention. If any individual experts come to observe, we must remain serious. Show them our professional and composed demeanor!”

Meanwhile, Wu Ting led the three professors into the operating room where Qin Donglai was the lead surgeon.

This was where they were demonstrating the laparoscopic cholecystectomy combined with qi mechanism regulation that had caught Professor Ma’s eye.

Qin Donglai was the lead surgeon, Director Huang was handling the acupoint stimulation, and Song Qi was assisting.

Wu Ting began his introduction:

”Professor Ma has already reviewed the relevant papers on this procedure. It is our hospital’s newest surgical technique and also the result of a research project for which we are preparing to apply for grant funding.”

As Wu Ting explained, the team at the operating table had already begun the surgery.

Unlike the vibrant energy next door, everyone here was a senior attending physician. They were methodical and very composed, carrying out the surgery in a textbook, conventional manner.

Watching Director Huang’s demonstration of National Medicine, the professors nodded repeatedly in approval.

”To even think of combining National Medicine with modern medicine for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy truly requires a broad perspective. One must master the theories of both National and modern medicine and then be able to integrate them perfectly. The difficulty of that is extraordinarily high.”

”Dr. Wu, I am utterly impressed by you. Especially since, just a few days ago, in the conference room of the Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital’s Emergency Department, you designed a treatment plan for us on the spot, combining PTCD with Yinchen Lidan Soup to treat cholangiocarcinoma complicated by obstructive jaundice.”

”Wu Ting, your talent is truly astonishing!”

”Dean Tang, I never expected your hospital to have such a treasure of a National Medical Department.”

”Indeed. I’ve inspected many comprehensive Grade-A Tertiary hospitals, and in most of them, the National Medical Department is just an auxiliary department, little more than window dressing. I never imagined that the National Medical Department at your City First Hospital could integrate so well with surgery.”

”Dean Tang, to be able to value and promote the concept of integrating National and modern medicine, and to actually put it into practice—that is no easy feat!”

Hearing Professor Ma’s praises, Dean Tang and Huo Yun’s jaws nearly dropped.

’It’s only been a day, and you went and showed off an integrated National-modern medicine diagnostic technique at Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital, right in front of these professors? And it was an original treatment for cholangiocarcinoma, a highly difficult disease known as the king of cancers, no less.’

No wonder they were able to attract such a top-tier team to inspect the Emergency Department of City First Hospital.

Huo Yun also mused that the National Medical Department of City First Hospital was barely acknowledged in its own city, yet it had, unexpectedly, become legendary at Jiuhua Hospital, Saint An Hospital, and Haijin Port Hospital!

’If word of this got out, even the normally reserved Director Zhao Jun would probably feel a bit proud, wouldn’t he?’

Soon, this surgery was completed.

Ma Mengchao and the others were extremely satisfied, giving high praise for their trip to City First Hospital.

”Dr. Wu, could you take us to see your patient wards next?”

Having watched the surgery, Professor Ma wanted to conduct a field inspection of the patients’ postoperative recovery.

Shen Guofeng was also very interested in this.

Professor Jin was also looking forward to it. This inspection of City First Hospital was truly not a wasted trip. Initially, he had just wanted to use this opportunity to present his niece Jin Yan’s recent research topic to Professor Ma, hoping he could act as a recommender for a national Natural Science Foundation project application.

Now, aside from the grant project, he was actually starting to seriously consider Professor Ma’s earlier proposal.

Should they join forces with City First Hospital to establish a national research center for laparoscopic technology? It would be built upon the Emergency Department’s key specialty in laparoscopic techniques and jointly promoted by all three parties.

Without a doubt, Wu Ting’s current surgical techniques were already taking shape. But of course, the most important factor was Wu Ting’s own potential and talent.

”Of course. This way, everyone.”

Wu Ting led the way, while Huo Yun and Dean Tang also came over to host them.

Professor Ma’s group quickly arrived at the patient wards.

In the ward, Cheng Feng was doing his rounds. When he saw the large, imposing group, having already learned the truth from Xiao Xixi, he nearly went weak in the knees.

”Cheng Feng, I haven’t been around for the past two days. Come over and report to the experts on the condition of the patients who recently underwent our new surgical techniques!”

Wu Ting intentionally called Cheng Feng over to give him some exposure.

Cheng Feng was a crucial future pillar of his team, and this was a way to let him get used to this kind of pressure ahead of time.

”Yes, coming, Brother Ting.”

Seeing Wu Ting chatting and laughing so casually in front of such high-level bigwigs—a situation where even Dean Tang and Director Huo were standing on the sidelines—Cheng Feng’s respect for Wu Ting rose by several levels!

Quickly, Cheng Feng nervously reported on the situation in the wards.

Professor Ma and the others listened while personally examining the patients’ recovery status.

After they had completed a full tour of the wards, Professor Ma had come to a decision.

He looked at Shen Guofeng and Jin Yu, his tone direct.

”Have you two made up your minds?”
