Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 135: Chapter 131: Chinese Journal of Surgery - Wu Ting Special Issue

After the surgery was complete, Professor Shen Guofeng, Huo Yun, and Cai Qi were all reluctant to leave the operating room.

”Today was truly an unforgettable moment in my surgical career. The last time I had such a profound memory was during my very first operation.”

”Wu Ting, Yan Xi, Ling Ling, you’ve all truly impressed me!”

”Wu Ting, I think it’s time for our research center to hold a progress review meeting.”

”After I get back today, I’ll discuss it with Professor Ma and Professor Jin. We’ll come visit the City First Hospital Research Center together soon.”

”I believe that so far, our research center has achieved remarkable results thanks to the combined efforts of Wu Ting and the two doctors.”

”Next, I think we can present these results in a focused manner, and perhaps even report them to the wider medical community.”

”Wu Ting, gather the papers for the projects you’ve been working on recently. I have an idea. For the near future, your main focus should be writing up all your current projects into papers for a mass publication.”

”I have a plan that I think will cause a sensation in the industry.”

”As it happens, all your papers are focused on laparoscopic diagnosis and treatment techniques. Why not bundle them together and publish a special issue? As for the journal, the *Jin Country Surgery Journal*, where Professor Ma is the editor-in-chief, is the top choice. It’s also a top-tier domestic core journal.”

Hearing Professor Shen’s suggestion, Directors Huo Yun and Cai Qi felt their hearts tremble, even though they were both seasoned professionals.

Getting even a single paper published in the *Jin Country Surgery Journal* was already a remarkable achievement.

If the City First Hospital’s Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research Center actually managed to get the *Jin Country Surgery Journal* to release a special issue dedicated to them, it would be absolutely astounding!

Following Professor Shen’s suggestion, Wu Ting and the others took stock of their work:

”Suspended Gasless Abdominal Laparoscopic Appendectomy Applicable to Super-Aged Patients,” by Wu Ting...

”The Non-invasive Cosmetic Application of Wu’s Umbilical Hole Laparoscopic Appendectomy,” by Wu Ting...

”Qi Mechanism Theory of Ascending and Descending Combined with Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy,” Corresponding Author: Wu Ting, First Author: Huang Hong, Second Author: Qin Donglai...

”Indocyanine Green Fluorescence Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy,” Corresponding Author: Wu Ting, First Author: Yan Xi...

”Application of 3D Image-guided Navigation Platform and Research on Artificial Intelligence Algorithms,” Corresponding Author: Wu Ting, First Author: Ling Ling...

Five papers’ worth of results, all at once. Even Professor Shen hadn’t expected this much.

”To have achieved so much in such a short time... Wu Ting, I’m proud of you, and I admire your team’s efficiency.”

”Alright then. I’ll talk to Professor Ma about the publication. You don’t need to worry about that part, just focus on getting the manuscripts finalized.”

”Wu Ting, Yan Xi, and Ling Ling, you three will take the lead. The rest of the doctors in the department, like Cheng Feng, will give you their full support.”

Huo Yun was also incredibly excited, eagerly anticipating the release of this special issue.

After Professor Shen’s impromptu meeting ended, he immediately contacted Professor Ma Mengchao. Ma Mengchao was in full agreement with the plan.

Of course, this all hinged on the papers led by Wu Ting being solid enough. If they were, releasing a special issue would be a natural step and one of the very few times it had happened in the publication history of the *Jin Country Surgery Journal*.

Without a doubt, the Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research Center of Fan City First Hospital was about to make a huge name for itself in Jin Country’s medical field.

Wu Ting’s research achievements deserved such accolades!

Ma Mengchao began making plans. As soon as Wu Ting’s team submitted their papers, he would immediately arrange for the special issue.

Unlike regular journal issues, the publication date for a special issue could be specifically designated, free from the usual time constraints.

After discussing the plan for the *Jin Country Surgery Journal - Special Issue*, Professor Ma Mengchao also consulted with Professor Shen about organizing expert teams from their respective hospitals to visit the City First Hospital’s Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research Center for academic exchange.

Moreover, this wouldn’t be a one-time exchange. They planned to formalize it into a system: a regular ”Expert Exchange Week.”

Jiuhua Hospital, Haijin Port Hospital, and Saint An Hospital would take turns organizing an expert delegation to visit City First Hospital each quarter for a week-long event. During this week, experts from these top-tier institutions would hold clinics and perform surgeries.

This initiative would further enhance the research center’s influence and clinical capabilities.

After all, the research center’s current surgical techniques were still limited. This Expert Exchange Week would allow various specialists to enrich the variety of surgical techniques at the Laparoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research Center.

At the same time, it would also promote mutual learning between the City First Hospital team and the visiting expert groups.

They also held an encouraging and supportive attitude toward any experts who came for the exchange and were willing to stay on long-term.

For instance, Yan Xi and Ling Ling were the best examples.

By joining the City First Hospital Research Center, they had each completed their doctoral dissertation projects and, in collaboration with Wu Ting, pioneered a groundbreaking combined assistive technology.

When the time was right, Professor Ma and Professor Shen also intended to introduce this combined assistive technology to their own departments.

It could be said that, up to this point, the research center led by Wu Ting had already met Ma Mengchao’s expectations.

After Shen Guofeng and Professor Ma finalized their future plans, they each returned to their own work.

...

...

Xianglin City Xuanshang University Affiliated Hospital.

After saying a word to Professor Jin, Jin Yan got in her car and sped toward City First Hospital.

A little over an hour later, a travel-worn Jin Yan arrived at the emergency building.

Xiao Xixi was a little surprised to see Jin Yan.

”Dr. Jin, what brings you here?”

Jin Yan smiled. ”Nurse Xiao, I’m here to see Wu Ting, Dr. Wu.”

”Oh, looking for Dr. Wu.”

Xiao Xixi immediately told her where to find Wu Ting.

”Thanks.”

After getting Wu Ting’s location, Jin Yan didn’t hesitate for a moment and rushed over.

Watching Jin Yan’s hurried figure, Xiao Xixi’s eyes filled with a gossipy glint; she had a rough idea of what was going on.

’What’s the deal with this Dr. Jin?’

’That Wu Ting is quite the charmer. First Dr. Yan Xi, then Dr. Ling Ling. And now even Dr. Jin has come for him.’

In a hospital ward, Dr. Jin found Wu Ting directly.

”Dr. Wu, is it a good time to talk?”

Having rushed all the way, Jin Yan was a bit out of breath. Her chest, a stark contrast to her youthful face, rose and fell gently.

She looked at Wu Ting with an eager and fervent gaze.

Wu Ting was a little surprised to see Jin Yan, but he had also had his eye on her for a long time.

Cheng Feng, who had been reporting a case, saw Jin Yan and tactfully excused himself.

”Brother Ting, you talk with Dr. Jin first. I’ll go check on the patient in bed 6.”

By now, Cheng Feng was used to Wu Ting’s magnetic pull on these female PhDs.

He had to admit, Wu Ting really seemed to have a Midas touch with female doctors. It had only been a short while, and both Yan Xi’s and Ling Ling’s papers were already bearing fruit.

Cheng Feng even regretted being a man. ’If I were a female doctor, maybe Wu Ting would carry me to a top-tier project too,’ he thought.

Still, he was very content and cherished his current situation. Being able to follow Wu Ting, work with doctors of Yan Xi’s and Ling Ling’s caliber, and assist them was more than enough.

Thanks to the training during this period, his research abilities had improved by leaps and bounds. It was only on Wu Ting’s team that he seemed mediocre. In any other hospital or department, he, Cheng Feng, would be considered one of the elites!

At the end of the ward’s corridor, after calling Wu Ting out, Jin Yan got straight to the point.

”Dr. Wu, I was honored to observe, along with Professor Jin, the liver tumor resection you, Dr. Yan Xi, and Dr. Ling Ling performed to assist Professor Shen. It was a real eye-opener, and I’m deeply impressed.”

”However, after watching your joint surgery, I had a strong feeling. I believe my research on ultrasound-assisted technology has a natural synergy with your project. My idea is... could I join your team and try to see if my project’s results can be integrated with yours?”

”To integrate the ultrasound-assisted system I’m researching into your application platform.”

It had to be said, Jin Yan’s scientific instincts were sharp.

Wu Ting hadn’t expected Jin Yan to be so direct.

”Dr. Jin, to be honest, ever since we first met and I heard about your research direction, I’ve had my eye on you.”

”It’s an honor for our team to have your approval and to have you join us.”

Wu Ting extended his hand and shook Jin Yan’s sincerely.

”Dr. Jin, welcome to the team.”

Jin Yan felt Wu Ting’s warmth and sincerity, felt a strange sensation from his touch, and her heart skipped a beat. She had never experienced this odd feeling before.

’It feels... pretty good.’

Jin Yan kept hold of Wu Ting’s hand and didn’t let go as she continued.

”Dr. Wu, in that case, I’ll go back, pack my things, and report to the research center immediately. From then on, I’ll give my full cooperation to integrate the ultrasound-assisted technology into your combined technique.”

”Excellent!”

Wu Ting was overjoyed. ’With Dr. Jin joining, the surgical team for the perfect triple-combination assisted laparoscopic technique is finally complete!’
