Undead Mage from a Cell

Using [Life Essence Blood] to strengthen the Spirit Lamp was something Gu Xi had seriously considered.

Life Essence Blood carries powerful negative effects, and the Purple Armor enhanced by it is not something a normal person can use.

This time, Gu Xi planned to prepare equipment for himself, rather than for his Contracted Undead or Death Incarnation.

Therefore, there were only two choices for this [Life Essence Blood]: one was for something Gu Xi was currently using, like the Shoulder Guard Reversed Lich or Cold Wind Staff.

Especially with the Cold Wind Staff, Gu Xi certainly wanted to upgrade it to Purple Quality and then use another chance with the Fox Eye Ring to directly negate its negative effects.

The other option was to enhance something useful for Gu Xi but impossible to equip, placing it inside the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp for the Equipment Carrier to hold.

Coincidentally, Gu Xi had just such an item, the Spirit Lamp.

With the arrival of the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp, the Spirit Lamp needed to be replaced.

If this item wasn’t enhanced to Purple Armor level, it would have to be set aside.

However, Gu Xi quite liked some of the functions of the Spirit Lamp, having used it before made Gu Xi feel something.

Now, Gu Xi felt somewhat reluctant to part with it.

Fortunately, [Life Essence Blood] could be used for enhancement, so he directly strengthened the Spirit Lamp.

In the next moment, the color of the Spirit Lamp changed from its original pink brain-like appearance to a dark red.

The brain seemed like it had spoiled from being left too long, with a slight hint of rust inside.

However, the attributes of the Spirit Lamp made Gu Xi’s eyes light up.

The things he wanted were all retained and even enhanced.

[Spirit Lamp (Purple, Offhand Item)]

[Defense: 6]

[After equipping: Intelligence +11]

[Equipment Requirements: Intelligence 6]

[Special 1: Enchanting, performs large-scale hypnosis over a certain area, making subjects act according to your will for five minutes (note, the stronger the resistance, the stronger, but as long as it’s a living person, hypnosis is certain).]

[Special Impact 1: After equipping and activating the Enchanting effect once, the user suffers mental impacts every half hour, ranging from making odd motions to choosing suicide.]

[Special 2: Spirit Flame, locks onto and ignites an enemy not exceeding your own Level by 10, causing the enemy’s spirit and body to serve as fuel, and can be converted into a special Magic Potion, replenishing Mana or enhancing a certain Spell’s effect.]

[Special Impact 2: After equipping and activating the Spirit Flame effect once, the user suffers from flame burns every half hour, requiring the user to replenish their Life Force each time, otherwise turning into a new Magic Potion.]

[Special 3: Mind Shield, performs a mental shield over a range, making certain people directly ignored in spirit (seen but immediately disregarded).]

[Special Impact 3: After equipping and activating the Mind Shield effect once, the user must find ways to show their presence to others every half hour and gain the attention of more than 10 people, or after three times, the user will be erased.]

[Note: What you see isn’t truly existing, but rather something someone wants you to see.]

This enhancement of the Spirit Lamp was like upgrading from an ordinary gun to a cannon.

Either the Skills transformed into Range Magic, or the effects were strengthened, and finally, an especially unique Spell was added.

These were the most useful.

If those negative effects are ignored, these Skills far exceed Gu Xi’s imagination.

However, due to the transformation by Life Essence Blood, these negative effects became absurdly strong.

Every single one of them came at the cost of someone else’s life.

If Gu Xi were to use it directly, in a few days he’s likely to have no allies left.

Thus, Gu Xi quickly tossed the Spirit Lamp into the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp.

As the light rose, the Spirit Lamp melted into it.

The words ’Hungry Ghost’ appeared in the flames.

Following that, a new image of an Equipment Carrier appeared on a blank side of the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp.

Unlike the situation with the previous two Equipment Carriers.

This Equipment Carrier was also entirely black, but his brain was directly exposed.

It seemed that the Spirit Lamp hadn’t considered itself as an Offhand Item but occupied the brain of the Equipment Carrier, while Gu Xi noticed that this Equipment Carrier had numerous black Iron Chains on his body.

These weren’t created by Gu Xi molding his appearance, rather, it was just how he appeared.

It seemed that this Equipment Carrier was taking a relatively unconventional path.

However, Gu Xi also noticed that this Equipment Carrier was different from the previous two.

He had no Power or Defense capabilities; instead, he enhanced his own equipment’s Skills.

Clearly, he was taking a different path.

For Gu Xi, the path the Equipment Carrier took wasn’t important; what mattered was that this Equipment Carrier could utilize the equipment’s effects.

His appearance, or whether he could fight, wasn’t the main point.

After securing the Spirit Lamp inside the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp, Gu Xi was no longer interested in putting other Purple Armor in it.

Purple Armor doesn’t just fall from the sky.

Currently, the Purple Armor Gu Xi sealed inside was one for Attack, Defense, and Support, perfectly balanced.

Other than waiting for the next suitable Purple Armor or encountering an unsolvable problem.

So Gu Xi stopped dwelling on it. Releasing his left hand, the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp floated beside his left hand.

This way, Gu Xi’s hands were free from holding this item continually.

This was something Gu Xi handled quite naturally.

During his studies at the Nether Bone Wind Academy, he learned that equipment is equipment, and clothing is clothing; they cannot be confused.

As Gu Xi let go, the three Equipment Carriers retreated again.

Gu Xi understood they were always there, though they typically did not appear by his side.

Only when Gu Xi needed them would they appear.

In this regard, Gu Xi had to admit that the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp was significantly better than the Fox Eye Ring.

At least, the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp always had an effect.

Unlike the Fox Eye Ring, which often remained unused.

After resting the Equipment Carrier, Luna arrived with a Zombie.

This Zombie was no different from an ordinary one, with the same ashen skin, holding a Woodcutter’s Axe.

Its movements were neither fast nor slow, the actions evidently were not overly clumsy, but rather steady.

Seeing Luna bring it over, Gu Xi was somewhat puzzled.

”Luna, who is this?”

”He’s a newly converted Level 19 Undead, I’ve brought him over.”

Luna promptly introduced the Zombie she brought along.
