Undead Mage from a Cell

It is said that this seemingly ordinary zombie is the only level 19 in the city, so Gu Xi couldn’t help but reassess the zombie before him.

At this moment, Gu Xi noticed that this zombie truly looks no different from an ordinary zombie.

Even its stature is the standard of an ordinary zombie, with not a hint of the aura of a level 19 powerhouse.

If it weren’t for trusting Luna, Gu Xi would have suspected that Luna had found the wrong person.

But when Gu Xi saw the zombie’s attributes, he realized Luna had indeed found the right person.

[Zombie (Level 19, Summoned Corps): Experience (0/150000), Attack 32, Defense 46, Life 1210, Skills: Undead Creatures, Combat Bite, Corrosive Poison Attack, Full-Power Strike, Lightning Strike, Corpse Poison Attack, Vampire Attack, War Axe Mastery, Life Return, Life Amplification, Fighting to the Death, Heavy Armor Mastery... ]

From these attributes, it can be seen that this zombie is not like a Corpse Mother that gets directly strengthened, with attack power enhanced to unimaginable heights.

He is someone who steps forward steadily, one step at a time.

The attributes of this zombie show that his presence has pointed the way forward for other zombies.

At the very least, he has proved that zombies can reach the limit level even without job changes or evolution.

Looking at the zombie in front of him, Gu Xi didn’t know what to say.

How did such a superb zombie emerge? Normally, wouldn’t zombies switch to other stronger units after reaching level 6?

Oh, he was transformed through Double Death with a level 19 enemy.

Then, never mind, let the zombie be a zombie.

The attributes are rather interesting, and Gu Xi turned to ask, ”Luna, do you think he has a chance to reach level 20?”

At this moment, Eldest Princess Anna had gone down to handle the purple armor she had just acquired, and Shaya had not returned from gathering information at the Soul Gathering Land.

Only Luna was around to ask.

”My lord, I’m not too sure about that.”

This question put Luna in a bit of a quandary.

She had never encountered a level 20 existence, so this issue probably had to wait until Eldest Princess Anna returned to answer.

Just then, the zombie seemed to understand Gu Xi’s words and looked up at Gu Xi.

Gu Xi noticed that a new line of small text appeared in the zombie’s information.

[After reaching full experience at level 19, a legendary quest can be activated. Upon completing the quest, the limit can be broken and level 20 can be reached.]

A quest needs to be completed?

Is this quest for Gu Xi to do, or for this zombie?

Can someone explain?

Gu Xi felt quite puzzled about how to handle all this incomplete information.

However, upon second thought, Gu Xi decided to let it go.

After all, it’s not the right time yet, and even if this zombie keeps fighting, no one knows how many years it’ll take to accumulate 150,000 experience.

It’s understood that when a high-level fights a low-level, not much experience is gained, and this zombie is currently the highest level entity under Gu Xi.

Even in a battle against a level 19 enemy, killing off a level 19 enemy would yield at most two or three hundred experience, so how many 19-level enemies would need to be killed?

”Never mind, let’s treat this one as a treasure for now; we can talk about it later. Perhaps this world won’t allow it.”

Luna was somewhat puzzled about why Gu Xi suddenly said this, but since Gu Xi didn’t push, she had no objection.

Her thoughts were straightforward.

Although this zombie is just a soldier, his level is undeniable.

Even though he’s not a boss or a warrior, his presence on the battlefield is quite morale-boosting.

What? Undead need morale?

Well, such an existence can suppress the fortunes.

At this time, Luna took the zombie away again.

And Gu Xi, taking this opportunity, inquired about the other four level 15 individuals.

Since these four were not particularly special individuals, the undead they transformed into was, like the zombie, the most basic troops.

This fact did give Gu Xi some ideas.

Could it be that his Double Death might also have further potential?

While pondering over this, Yalidov City had also resumed its normal course.

Without the pressure of foreign enemies, Yalidov City began to rebuild various things.

Especially the new Yaliduvi District, where there was still a lot to organize.

Simultaneously, the troops converted in these battles into Yalidov City also needed to be reorganized.

Gu Xi plans to upgrade his troops, reorganize the army, and raise the entry-level of his troops.

This time, the majority of the gains were between level 6 and level 8 undead.

This allows Gu Xi to be a bit bolder.

Gu Xi’s plan is to completely disband the undead troops and restructure them.

All Skeleton Soldiers would start at level 5, Zombies at level 6, Ghosts at level 7, and Vampires at level 8 as the baseline for organization.

Anyone whose level does not meet this standard will be considered cannon fodder and reserve troops, sent to the barracks to participate in expedition missions. Once they raise their levels to meet the standard, they will be released.

As for some special units, Gu Xi would also need to arrange them.

This ensures the elite nature of Gu Xi’s future forces.

In the future, this practice will also become commonplace, as Gu Xi has already realized after this battle.

He wants to develop well not by going upward but by going downward.

He should not be pioneering this kind of world but should be attacking goblins, kobolds, and those kinds of enemies with high birth rates but low levels and combat power.

Even if the enemy is only level 1, Gu Xi’s summoning will immediately bring level 4 undead.

With one transformation from Double Death, a new wave of undead appears instantly.

Toss them into the barracks for casual training, and their levels can rise.

Once they reach level 5, rush them straight into the Skeleton Sea.

This should be the path Gu Xi follows now.

Instead of leading his forces recklessly against powerful existences at levels 17 and 19.

In one strike, a swath of undead troops could be gone, and the result would be getting only one or two over level 10. This kind of venture, when considered, is a significant loss.

Previously, because Gu Xi had the Death Incarnation, he hadn’t felt this way with his string of victories.

Now in hindsight, Gu Xi understands that he had become conceited.

In his downtime, Gu Xi plans, after returning to the Soul Gathering Land, to submit his tasks and purchase some essentials and then withdraw voluntarily.

First, return to the guild to do some learning.

After all, he hasn’t visited the library that the guild once promised to open to him.

Then he’ll find one or two downward worlds to acquire some goods and replenish his troops.

To make himself more stable and fortified.
