In three days, Gu Xi only managed to copy half of the ”Netherworld Secret Scroll,” a book of the same level as the ”Death Manual,” and a third of the ”Yellow Springs Atlas.”

However, his Necromancers were quite competent, completely copying the ”Book of the Box of Fate,” ”Blood Feast Book,” ”Book of the Grub,” and ”Book of Deceit.”

They even copied over twenty forbidden books like the ”Bone Dragon Compilation” and ”Death Language.”

To have the Necromancers copy these forbidden books, Gu Xi had to provide them with new Necromancers every hour.

Plus, with the books Gu Xi copied himself, it’s safe to say he didn’t close his eyes even once in those three days.

This made Gu Xi, who was already somewhat thin, look even more haggard.

But all this effort was worth it.

The forbidden books Gu Xi obtained are things an Undead Mage must master in later stages.

The ”Book of the Box of Fate,” ”Blood Feast Book,” ”Book of the Grub,” and ”Book of Deceit” are the paths to promotion after achieving Level 10 in Soul Summoning Skill.

And the three books Gu Xi copied himself are what need to be learned after reaching Level 10 in Undead Knowledge.

The ”Bone Dragon Compilation” needs no further explanation; it teaches how to craft a Bone Dragon using ordinary bones and other materials when Dragon Bones are unobtainable.

Every player aiming to reach Level 10 would choose to copy one.

”Death Language” can be the path of promotion after achieving Level 10 in Death Whisper.

The others are similar, things Gu Xi will need to learn specifically later.

Gu Xi took this opportunity to copy all he couldn’t currently learn.

He placed them in his library, waiting for the time when he’s ready to learn them.

After using all three days, Gu Xi forced his weary body to return to his dorm for a bit of rest.

Lacking sleep for three days and nights, Gu Xi felt dizzy.

He just wanted a good sleep.

After resting, Gu Xi planned to end this period of study.

Gu Xi had already inquired that within the guild, there’s a special point for accessing the Lower World.

These temporary worlds are a guild perk, available once a year for players who have broken through Level 5.

There’s uncertainty about the type of world one might enter or if there are other players.

Most players enter such worlds to slaughter creatures like kobolds and goblins.

Were mice or squirrels suitable for summoning.

Someone might even go to slaughterhouses to kill chickens and mice.

Hence, when players enter the Lower World, they often do not care if there are opponents or not.

They aim to fight numerous enemies in a short time.

And to continuously summon, using the corpses of kobolds and goblins to replenish their Undead Corps.

Some players noted they choose to fight in the Lower World at the beginning of the year.

Returning with tens of thousands of Undead Corps.

These troops become their manpower for the year.

After a year of combat, two to three thousand out of two to three tens of thousands remain, greatly enhanced in power with weapons and gear, making them stronger than the previous large legions.

They become more powerful for various reasons.

Bringing such forces into the new year, fighting in the Lower World yields greater gains, and more troops are received in the new year.

The combat power of the Undead Mage accumulates this way bit by bit.

Some players report that veteran players have tens of thousands of elite Undead Troops, capable of maximizing the tactics of the Sea of the Dead in every Lower World battle.

Though this is legendary, Gu Xi is unsure of its authenticity.

Gu Xi only knows that these Lower Worlds offer him the most advantage.

His talents are best suited for these battles.

Aside from Summoning, his talent allows a city to automatically produce more undead.

Adding the abilities of the Ghost Squad, Gu Xi could gain a lot if he goes to the Lower World.

And Gu Xi just obtained the ”Book of the Box of Fate,” ”Blood Feast Book,” ”Book of the Grub,” and ”Book of Deceit,” the four promotion books after Soul Summoning Skill.

These promotion books are not immediately usable upon acquisition.

Gu Xi needs to read, learn, and practice continuously to master transforming undead into Corpse Witches, Witch Demons, Vampires, Undead Insects, and bizarre forms during summoning.

And this requires substantial practice.

Only in the Lower World is there enough opportunity for such practice.

Gu Xi plans to engage in combat in the Lower World soon.

Other matters have been temporarily shelved by Gu Xi.

Gu Xi hasn’t been to Death City for some time.

On one hand, he trusts Luna and the others’ abilities.

On the other hand, Gu Xi has indeed been busy recently.

Gu Xi’s study left him no time or energy to think about matters in Death City day or night.

Initially, he could communicate with Luna about Yalidu City’s situation through a special mirror daily.

But as his tasks and books increased, Gu Xi nearly forgot he had a city waiting for him.

Plunging all his effort into study.

Looking back, Gu Xi realized it’s been nearly a month without contacting Luna a them.

The last contact was a message Luna sent.

She reported that the Azure Temple had converted the weakened Ghost Soldiers, turning them into Level 8 Azure Knights with their armor.

Gu Xi now had over a thousand Azure Cavalry.

This situation made Amirka envious, even considering abandoning the already converted Red Knights to lead the Azure Knights instead.

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi laughed and rejected Amirka’s notion.

After all, Gu Xi had vested quite an effort into Amirka’s Red Knights.

Not only did he build the Scarlet Temple in advance, but he also prepared Blood Essence and suitable corpses for the Red Knights.

Even promising Amirka the formation of a Scarlet Knight Order.

Yet, seeing the larger number of Azure Knights, Amirka wanted to switch allegiance to them, which was unwise.

Gu Xi absolutely couldn’t allow such a thing to happen.

So, at that time, Gu Xi had Luna designate the Azure Knights as his Personal Guard, giving Amirka no chance.
