Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 653: Chapter 651: Yaksha Jade Tree King

Gu Xi was still considering how to transport these things, as the only ones in front of him who were not undead were himself, the Black Dragon, the Red Dragon, and some Stone Golems.

But relying on them to transport such a large corpse and the red crystals below would take more than a year.

Gu Xi didn’t think too deeply about Eldest Princess Anna’s question and just casually said.

”Maybe someone doesn’t want others to know this guy is dead.”

At this point, Gu Xi suddenly paused and turned to look at Eldest Princess Anna.

Gu Xi noticed a flash of realization in Eldest Princess Anna’s eyes.

”It seems so. The bones in the lake above filled with life-giving water are the first layer, all the Yaksha Eggs are the second layer, and the blood crystals underground are the third layer, all to prevent people from knowing that this giant Yaksha has already died.

Burying itself in enough vitality and then burying itself on Yellow Springs Road.

Using various means to conceal itself, even involving a huge plan.

My lord, what do you think they’re trying to do?”

Gu Xi shook his head, intending to say he didn’t know, but a thought suddenly flashed in his mind.

”Eldest Princess Anna, do you think he might not be dead, but instead, using some methods to strengthen himself, or perhaps turn into something like a Witch Demon?”

As an Undead Mage, the direction Gu Xi considered was naturally different from others.

His judgment on the life and death of enemies was quite accurate, but he also knew that some methods required one to be dead for a period before revival could take place.

If this Yaksha King took this step, the setup here would make sense.

This would explain why the Yaksha Mother was so afraid upon seeing so many White Impermanence.

He’s exploiting a loophole in the Netherworld.

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s words, Eldest Princess Anna nodded as well, ”That’s possible, but ordinary matters probably don’t require entering a state of death.

One must understand that this is not a false death, but truly dead.

For him to do this, what he seeks must be quite significant.”

”Quite significant?” Gu Xi muttered, then turned to Eldest Princess Anna, ”Do you think it could be...”

”To break through level 20.”

Eldest Princess Anna also voiced her judgment, ”This is probably the method unique to the Yaksha creatures, or a method unique to this world, where the soul leaves to start anew.

The body remains hidden here, as long as it stays within the vitality and on Yellow Springs Road, it gives off the impression of someone about to die, walking the Yellow Springs Road.

In this way, the living won’t pay attention, and the dead won’t either, placing him between life and death.

Buried here for hundreds or thousands of years, waiting for his soul to complete the mission, returning with greater power.

He could then break through the level 20 threshold in one fell swoop.”

Eldest Princess Anna expressed her judgment.

Gu Xi didn’t bother to inquire about what task the Yaksha King’s soul was off to complete.

All he understood was that he had disrupted a big shot’s chance to break through to level 20.

Thinking about the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin, with the level 20 power to suppress an entire city, Gu Xi realized he had offended someone significant.

However, since things had come to this point, Gu Xi wasn’t afraid of anything.

He immediately said, ”We’ve come this far, we might as well go all the way. We cannot leave this corpse here, everything here needs to be cleared out.

Let’s get the Black Dragon to drag this corpse into Yalidu City, as for the crystals here, we’ll come up with another plan.”

Eldest Princess Anna didn’t oppose Gu Xi’s idea, as even she wouldn’t pass up such a great opportunity.

After all, a level 19 corpse, no matter how it was handled, was the best material.

Gu Xi even considered whether to convert this Yaksha King’s corpse into his own Contracted Undead.

Under Gu Xi’s orders, the Black Dragon and Red Dragons quickly flew out from the Main City Gate.

Meanwhile, a large number of undead brought Gu Xi some iron chains.

The following task was one Gu Xi had to personally undertake.

He had to jump onto the gigantic corpse, tightly wrapping it with the iron chains.

This was a physically demanding task for Gu Xi, but apart from him, no one else could manage it, and it took Gu Xi an entire day to completely bind the chains around the corpse.

Afterward, the Main City Gate was replaced with a horizontal school gate so the corpse wouldn’t have to pass through the gate’s arch.

When thirty Black Dragons and thirty-four Red Dragons combined their strength, the corpse lying on the solid red crystal was finally lifted.

At the moment the corpse was lifted, Gu Xi heard a piercing scream.

But Gu Xi ignored this, simply directing the Black Dragons to quickly transport the corpse into Yalidu City.

Where to place the corpse afterward wasn’t a concern.

Once it reached Yalidu City, Luna could take over.

In the next instant, Gu Xi realized the scream originated from the crystals beneath the corpse.

As the corpse left the crystals, the blood-red crystals turned dark red, as if life force was escaping rapidly.

Similarly, the Yaksha King’s corpse being lifted by the Black Dragon exhibited a change. Originally rigid and petrified, the corpse now appeared as if it had only been dead for a short time and still exuded a hint of life.

Gu Xi and Eldest Princess Anna exchanged a glance and simultaneously nodded.

The transformation of the corpse confirmed their suspicions.

The Yaksha King was employing a method of apparent death, sending his soul out to plan something significant.

Once the major task was accomplished, the Yaksha King’s soul would return, becoming a living creature, surpassing the level 20 threshold.

The lake above, the Yaksha Eggs, were all designed to conceal his aura, and the red crystals below were meant to store life force.

Once the Yaksha King arose, the life force would automatically infuse into him, ensuring he wouldn’t collapse from a lack of life force after years of slumber.

But now, everything had been destroyed by Gu Xi.

The Yaksha King dragged away by the Black Dragon had also awakened; life force was entering him, yet he couldn’t function accordingly.

In the end, the Yaksha King remained a lifeless entity.

Meanwhile, the life force-drained red crystals no longer restrained the undead, allowing them to be touched, which relieved Gu Xi greatly.

At least he wouldn’t have to personally handle digging and transporting the crystals.

The moment the Yaksha King’s corpse entered Yalidu City.

A sudden ”ding” sounded in Gu Xi’s ear.
