Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 685: Chapter 683: Choices in the New World

Regarding Luna’s seriousness, Gu Xi wasn’t aware. After breaking off contact with Luna, Gu Xi slept until the next night.

Upon waking, Gu Xi looked up at the sky outside and frowned slightly.

Because this was the internal space belonging to the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, the Golden Crow always hovered in the sky, emitting a faint sunlight.

Even at night, the space was quite bright.

Gu Xi walked to the balcony, stretching his body while looking downstairs.

On the twelfth-floor balcony across, a tan-skinned girl was tirelessly practicing her two-handed sword swings.

Her movements were very serious, each swing was executed with full effort, and the large beads of sweat would be flung away immediately.

Watching this girl, whose posture was like that of a leopard, a hint of admiration flashed in Gu Xi’s eyes.

This was the beautiful scenery Gu Xi had discovered in the past three months and the only relaxation and rest during his studies.

But today, Gu Xi did not stay long on the balcony. After watching for a few minutes, he stretched his body and turned to leave.

As Gu Xi left the balcony, the girl practicing her sword on the twelfth-floor balcony also looked up.

There was some puzzlement on her face.

She also sensed something about this neighbor, Gu Xi.

Normally, whenever Gu Xi appeared, he would stand on the balcony for about an hour.

Sometimes he would see her finish her practice.

Why did he leave so early today?

Could it be her makeup wasn’t done right today?

Or was her clothing choice wrong?

The girl checked herself over, there was no problem, it was the same as always.

Really quite perplexing.

At this moment, Gu Xi didn’t know he was also being watched as scenery.

In high spirits, as Gu Xi opened the door, his clothes had already changed into battle attire for going out, and he held the Cold Wind Staff in his hand.

Heading toward the Teleportation Gate Plaza, Gu Xi quickened his pace significantly.

The players coming and going didn’t pay much attention to this situation.

Along the way, they encountered many players rushing to participate in the game, most of whom looked like Gu Xi.

At most, they would notice Gu Xi’s lingering dark circles and quietly think to themselves about how hard Gu Xi was working.

However, thinking about the upcoming Creation, they couldn’t help but speculate on Gu Xi’s identity, wondering if he intended to break into the first wave of Creation.

Gu Xi didn’t pay any mind to these thoughts.

Upon reaching the Teleportation Gate Plaza, Gu Xi, following the information he had received, approached a red teleportation gate.

Upon arriving, Gu Xi spoke to the person in charge of guarding the teleportation gate: ”I am a new player, already Level 7, seeking to apply for this year’s Lower World.”

”You’re a player who joined this year and already reached Level 7?

It seems your potential is very high, right? Lower World, no problem.

At Level 7, the corresponding world’s limit is Level 4. Let me see, there really is one. There are several Level 4 worlds, and one has been here for some time now. If you don’t go, this world will drift out of our capture range.”

Listening to the person in charge, Gu Xi nodded his head.

Regarding the Lower World situation, after studying within the Guild for three months, Gu Xi found it relatively simple.

This type of world lacks a complete worldview or background, often being a continent, or a small world that repeats a specific time frame.

This suits the players’ tastes because even if you completely destroy it, it doesn’t matter much, and soon, a new Lower World will appear.

Thus, Undead Mages slaughter freely in these worlds, unconcerned about disrupting the world’s balance.

The so-called Level 4 limit refers to the highest level the creatures in this world can reach, which serves as a sort of selection for players.

Generally, those in charge will assign Level 1 or 2 Lower Worlds to players who have just reached Level 5, and as the player’s level increases, the corresponding world level also rises.

After all, this is considered quite reasonable.

There can’t be players at Level 10 leading a Bone Dragon to wreck in a world full of Level 1 enemies.

That would prevent Level 5 players from having any fun.

This arrangement also ensures fairness among players.

Besides the inability to choose the level, everything else is optional.

”Do you have any preference? I suggest you try the world that’s soon to leave our capture range.”

Gu Xi gave the person in charge a look, seemingly expressing, don’t push those unwanted things onto me.

”Comrade, please don’t misunderstand me, I don’t mean to push unwanted worlds on you.

It’s just that this world is somewhat interesting, initially explored as an Insect Swarm world.

A comrade chose this world and brought items targeting the swarm.

But upon arrival, he found that something was off.

This world was filled with Kobolds.

Lacking preparation, he had to retreat.

Subsequently, we equipped for a Kobold world.

But the next comrade said it was wrong; the world was one of Goblins.

And not just ordinary goblins, they were organized and tech-savvy.

This perplexing scenario sparked interest in the world.

Some people want to see what’s really going on in this world.

Yet every entry encounters something different.

Often, well-laid preparations confront unforeseen situations.

The comrades who went before got no substantial benefits and eventually lost interest in revisiting.

At the same time, no one has conquered this world yet.

See if you’d be interested in going, if not, another place is an option.”

Hearing about this peculiar Lower World, Gu Xi grew curious.

”Has anyone investigated this world’s true situation?”

”There have been attempts, but with no results, encountering issues during attacks, and without reaping benefits, the comrades lose interest in pursuing.

Naturally, no thorough research was conducted.”

Gu Xi felt a bit more intrigued.

”How about I take on this world?”

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s words, the person in charge also smiled.

This world is soon to escape their capture range.

If it gets away, all the previous efforts in capturing the Game World, stabilizing the entrance, and resource deployment will be wasted.

When he reports back, he can’t say that this world had numerous player deployments and they all returned unsuccessful.

So, when Gu Xi expressed interest in this world, the person in charge happily smiled.
