As the forced mission began, ten hours flew by in the blink of an eye.

During these ten hours, Gu Xi never stopped for a moment. Orders constantly issued from his mouth, halting all construction in Yalidu City, all for this battle.

The Undead transformed through Double Death by the Yaksha Mother was also found.

This one, originally as the mother of the Yakshas, had many different traits, so she was somewhat affected during the transformation.

She turned into a special Undead, the likes of which Gu Xi had never seen before.

This was a female zombie of not particularly tall stature.

Compared to the original Yaksha Mother, she was only slightly over two meters tall, far inferior to the enormous mother whose arm alone was dozens of meters long.

Not even as tall as the Bone Titans under Gu Xi.

But her strength was incredibly powerful, a super strong combat-capable zombie.

Corpse Mother.

[Corpse Mother (Level 17, Summoned Creature): Experience (0/15000), Attack 38, Defense 35, Life 320, Skills: Corpse Mother Aura (can affect nearby zombies or Corpse Children, granting them a certain combat power boost), Corpse Mother’s Gathering Power (the presence of nearby zombies or Corpse Children can enhance the Corpse Mother’s combat power), Corpse Mother Incarnation (when the Corpse Mother dies in battle, she can resurrect and continue fighting within nearby zombies or Corpse Children), Corpse Poison Bomb (throws out zombies or Corpse Children, causing a Corpse Burst with equivalent effect to Poison Burst).]

To test the Corpse Mother’s capabilities, Gu Xi found she only needs to stand next to zombies to automatically activate the Corpse Mother Aura, affecting an area roughly within one thousand meters.

The attributes increased are modest: Attack +4, Defense +4, Life +32.

Approximately each zombie gains slightly more than one-tenth of the Corpse Mother’s attack, defense, and life force.

As for the Mother’s Gathering Power, the influence range is also about one thousand meters.

Within this range, for every ten zombies added, the Corpse Mother’s attack and defense each increase by 1 point.

Of course, the improved attack and defense will not be fed back to the zombies.

It will only become the Corpse Mother’s own combat power.

This is precisely why Gu Xi considers the Corpse Mother to be a combat-type Undead.

However, if a group of zombies were to be crammed into the one thousand meters around the Corpse Mother, it wouldn’t be very suitable for combat.

That’s what Gu Xi thought initially.

After all, the range is just that large. If all the zombies were crammed in, there’d be no room to move; even if the attack and defense were elevated to a high level, what’s the point if they just get overwhelmed?

Zombies have strong defense, but they can’t afford to hinder the Corpse Mother’s combat by following too closely.

It wasn’t until Gu Xi saw the so-called Corpse Children that he realized the Corpse Mother’s skills mention affecting zombies merely as a nod to zombies.

The real influence on the Corpse Mother comes from the massive number of Corpse Children.

The Corpse Children themselves were also transformed by Gu Xi through Double Death.

Only Gu Xi himself didn’t know when this transformation happened.

Not until he inquired with Luna did he realize that these were indeed ones he killed.

These Corpse Children all came from Yaksha Eggs that were affected by Mind Kill. They emerged from the eggs on their own, died from lack of nutrition and protection.

These were counted among Gu Xi’s achievements because the Yakshas never hatched from their eggs; they had no experience points.

Gu Xi naturally didn’t know he had killed so many.

But Double Death doesn’t care; what Gu Xi kills must be transformed.

Their Level is considered zero, being too small to even become Skeleton Soldiers.

So they were all converted into zero-level Corpse Children.

[Corpse Child (Level 0, Summoned Creature): Experience (0/50), Attack 1, Defense 1, Life 5, Skills: Pounce, Dodge, Tearing Bite.]

These Corpse Children, under the blessing of Yalidu City, are not weak in combat power. Following the Corpse Mother now, their power can be significantly elevated.

With their numbers, forming a Sea of the Dead attack isn’t impossible.

The most crucial part is the Corpse Children’s small size, being less than fifty centimeters tall, not even standing straight. They can normally stack together.

A distance of about one thousand meters can accommodate nearly thirty thousand Corpse Children.

Most importantly, unlike zombies, their movement is not slow; when they advance, they leap like locusts and drop from above to attack, with an effect similar to Jump Slash, though the power is uncertain.

It’s safe to say the combination of the Corpse Children and the Corpse Mother is perfect. Without either, Gu Xi wouldn’t have discovered such a combination’s existence.

Seeing the attributes enhanced by the Corpse Children, Gu Xi felt that this upcoming battle might not be too embarrassing.

But in other areas, Gu Xi also made comprehensive preparations.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Gu Xi piled various corpses and white bones on the open space outside Yaliduvi Tower. Beneath the bodies, Flame Traps were buried; once enemies step on them, they’d fall into a trap of Corpse Burst and Chain Corpse Burst.

At the same time, the City Gate of Yaliduvi Tower was wide open, with the Yaksha King’s body placed in the tower’s plaza, visible at a glance by all.

Four crows stood beside the body; once enemies approached, Eldest Princess Anna could switch the time-space of Yaliduvi Tower to quickly change the battlefield.

Currently, Yaliduvi Tower can switch between only two time-spaces: the original Yalidu City and the New Yalidu City.

The interior of Yaliduvi Tower also received some strengthening from a few architects and a significant amount of Undead.

The vast supplies from the Soul Gathering Land were used on the City Wall.

While not guaranteeing everything, some points had the architects’ assurance.

The City Gate could be closed immediately without jamming halfway in.

The City Wall promised to withstand the frontal impact of an Assault Vehicle for more than twenty minutes without collapsing.

The Arrow Towers behind the walls were usable, and the wall top allowed soldiers to move freely in large numbers.

This assurance meant Gu Xi didn’t have to worry about the enemy snatching the body immediately, ensuring he could control the battle in a manageable way.

Finally, they built a dedicated sacrificial altar for Brave Fight.

Brave Fight and his followers from the Demon Sacrifice Camp appeared there at the first opportunity.

They set up the new altar, calculating the outside distances.

Because they couldn’t see outside from their positioning, they had to delimit locations accurately to guarantee precision in striking the enemy.

Beyond that, various weapon and equipment manufacturing and distribution, final training and supplementing of some powerful soldiers, the setup of Medical Tents, arrow prep, and more were all completed in this time.

Even the just-transported Flesh Kitchen in Yalidu City was fully stocked with enough food.

Although the Undead don’t need food for nourishment, it can boost some attributes pre-battle, which was already sufficient for Gu Xi.

Battle, in essence, is a contest of numbers.

A bit of enhancement is always beneficial.
