Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 661: Chapter 659: Slashing Kill of an Enemy

”How is it?”

Upon seeing Luna suddenly appear behind him, Gu Xi turned his head and asked.

”The seal is successful. I can now utilize the special ability acquired by the sealed one when they reached Level 15 with agility reaching the standard.

Doubled agility is the most common special ability an Agile Professional can choose upon reaching Level 15.

Its effect isn’t substantial; it generally allows the user to move at double their normal speed.

The only advantage is during battle, where the doubled speed can be increased by an additional one or two times.

So, when the previous one fought Shaya and the others, he was fighting at four times the speed.”

”No wonder.”

Gu Xi thought back to the speed of the Royal Guard earlier and understood the situation somewhat.

”Can you use this special ability now?”

”Yes, this is the easiest ability to extract, and in addition, this one is equipped with two pieces of Purple Armor from which I should also be able to extract one ability each to use.

The price for using these abilities will be borne by this one.

I see that most of this one’s Purple Armor is focused on enhancing speed, so my speed is likely to reach very high levels in the future.”

”That’s not bad at all.”

Gu Xi nodded with satisfaction. ”For now, let’s proceed this way. If it doesn’t work out, after this battle, we can release the one sealed inside and exchange him.”

Luna was thinking the same.

At this moment, the battlefield beneath the Yaliduvi Tower changed again.

With the death of the Royal Guard, the Military General who had just been knocked down had already climbed back up from the ground.

His morale had already fallen to the lowest point.

Now he needed a victory to boost his morale.

Therefore, when the Royal Guard was dragged away, this Military General returned to the battlefield.

However, this time he had no mount available; he could only run forward himself, holding the large blade in his hand, which seemed too heavy or perhaps for some other reason, he could only hold it in his hand.

Meanwhile, his skin had changed color.

Now he was almost as black as charcoal.

When he charged out, his target was the Death Incarnation - Death God standing at the front.

He had seen the Royal Guard’s battle just now, and the power of the Death Incarnation - Death God was evidently slightly inferior to his, just right for him to handle.

As long as he killed the Death Incarnation - Death God, he could regain his former confidence, and then he would charge at the city wall of Yaliduvi Tower once more.

Once he reached the top of the city wall, he could go on a killing spree.

So when this Military General charged out, he was fiercely determined, covering a distance of seven to eight hundred meters in just half a minute.

At this moment, Death Incarnation and Shaya were preparing to retreat, but upon seeing such a figure emerge, they both stopped simultaneously.

They had fought the Royal Guard for quite a while just now without any significant victory, and now with this enemy coming to them, what was there to fear?

Thus, Shaya, who was initially retreating, took a step forward with the Well Dragon’s Chant in one hand and a short wooden stick in the other, disappearing into thin air.

Meanwhile, the Death Incarnation - Death God faced the enemy head-on, his rear arms clashing with the opponent’s large blade.

After the initial clash, the Death Incarnation - Death God took a step back.

It was obvious that in terms of power, he wasn’t a match for this Military General.

This Military General had also reached Level 15, unlike the Royal Guard who had been sealed earlier; he followed a path of power, with his special enhancements naturally focusing on strength.

With this strike, a noticeable crack appeared on the Death Incarnation - Death God’s rear arm.

After pushing back the Death Incarnation - Death God, the Military General swung his blade in a return attack.

But then, a slight look of puzzlement appeared on his face.

Because there was clearly no enemy behind him.

Something was not right.

Wasn’t Shaya planning to stealthily attack him from behind?

Wasn’t pushing back the Death Incarnation - Death God the perfect opportunity to strike?

Didn’t Shaya care about the safety of the Death Incarnation - Death God?

If Shaya knew what this Military General was thinking, she would surely say, ”You’re overthinking it.”

Who doesn’t know that the Death Incarnation is Gu Xi’s spell? It can simply be resummoned once it’s dead.

Who in their right mind would risk their life to save the Death Incarnation?

Oh, the enemy doesn’t know about the Death Incarnation’s skills, so that’s fine; let them struggle for a bit more, then just wear them down.

As soon as the Death Incarnation - Death God saw this situation, he knew what needed to be done.

When being struck by the Military General, he spun around and immediately activated all the abilities of the three pieces of Purple Armor he was holding.

Simultaneously, he clutched the Scythe of Despair tightly in his forearm, dragging it along the ground, ready to strike at any moment.

Seeing the Death Incarnation - Death God flickering with colorful glows and changes, a trace of disdain flashed in the Military General’s eyes.

It’s using the power of its equipment. Although it’s only one level lower than himself, its combat power is quite lacking.

The Military General lifted his blade with both hands and heavily slashed at the death incarnation - death god’s shoulder.

With this strike, the Death Incarnation - Death God staggered backward several steps.

However, the Death Incarnation’s Ghost Realm Battlefield was activated, causing numerous arms to fly towards and grab onto the Military General.

The Military General twisted his body slightly and found that the grasping arms didn’t have much impact on him, so he ignored them.

He had figured it out; this was entirely within the capabilities of the Death Incarnation - Death God.

As long as he killed the Death Incarnation, these arms crawling on his body would become useless.

Thus, the Military General took another step forward, crushing some of the white bone arms on the ground, and once again raised his blade to cut towards the Death Incarnation - Death God.

This slash was with all his might, aimed straight at the Death Incarnation - Death God’s head.

The Death Incarnation - Death God seized the opportunity and shook his arm.

Three flying head monsters from [Desunap] flew out, biting onto the Military General’s face.

Immediately after, the Scythe of Despair, which had been dragging on the ground, was picked up and slashed at the Military General’s waist.

However, the Death Incarnation - Death God was disappointed afterward; even with this strike, he had used the Death Reaping ability.

And yet, the strike still failed to kill the Military General outright. The most it did was worsen the injuries on the Military General’s body.

The Military General, now enraged, struck with his blade on the Death Incarnation - Death God’s head, splitting its skull into two at the spot.

But just at that moment, the Death Incarnation - Death God lunged forward, and all the white bone arms on the ground reached for and grabbed the Military General.

Taking this final chance, the Death Incarnation - Death God tightly embraced the Military General, pinning him down to the ground.

Shaya, who had long disappeared, suddenly appeared behind the Military General at this moment. She held the Well Dragon’s Chant with both hands and delivered a cut towards the position of the Military General and the Death Incarnation.

[Shaya (Contracted Undead) has slain Captain of the Western Garden, Wei Qiang (Level 15), you receive 1723 experience points, and the Contracted Undead receives 2213 experience points.]
