Undead Mage from a Cell

Three days passed in the blink of an eye.

During these three days, Gu Xi practically covered the entire academy space.

He had long completed the task assigned to him and also familiarized himself with all the undead in the academy.

Considering that his Death Lord skill reached Level 4, it was evident how many undead corps he brought back using this ability.

Now, in the academy, apart from those under Calimduo and Naviduo, there were no neutral undead left.

All the undead in the academy space were either under Gu Xi’s command or his friends.

Gu Xi’s status in this space was much higher than Calimduo’s.

At least, Gu Xi wasn’t worried about his safety here for now.

When the agreed time with Calimduo arrived, Gu Xi led his subordinates near Naviduo’s burial grounds.

At this time, Calimduo and Miranda had already made battle preparations.

Their close aides followed them, numbering around twenty, with each having a power level between Level 10 and Level 13.

Gu Xi believed these loyal followers had likely been with Calimduo and the others for quite a while.

Moreover, Calimduo must have promised them something, probably positions as professors or staff members.

There might even be positions as neutral staff or roles in the new department Gu Xi was setting up, which they promised quite a bit.

In their view, Gu Xi was an inexperienced beginner who had no followers and lacked knowledge about setting up a department.

This was not taking over Gu Xi’s authority; it was helping him establish a new department and integrate into academy life.

They thought they had everything planned perfectly, but upon arriving at Naviduo’s burial ground, they were left speechless.

Calimduo saw Gu Xi lay out eleven massive heads on the ground.

These heads were all targets of Gu Xi’s mission.

They were Naviduo’s subordinates, both staff and pets.

Because they followed Naviduo, they had grown noticeably larger.

Each head was as tall as a person.

Gu Xi didn’t expend much effort when killing them.

He merely informed his newly acquired subordinates of the targets.

Someone naturally took it upon themselves to find these creatures and deliver their heads.

Gu Xi placed these things outside the burial ground to prove to Calimduo that he had completed his mission.

Then, Gu Xi erected three city gates near these heads.

Amirka and her troops quickly took out their camping equipment and reassembled it at the city gates.

Having already camped once, setting up this time was very fast; in the blink of an eye, they connected all three gates with city walls.

Gu Xi stood atop the city gate tower, with a line of heads laid out below.

Behind him was his undead corps, and without a word, the aura itself was imposing.

So when Calimduo saw all this, they didn’t know what to say.

Gu Xi was clearly showing them that he did have some strength in his hands and not to think he was powerless.

However, Calimduo didn’t take it to heart.

They had everything planned; surely these original department heads, with even portraits of the former dean involved, could handle an outsider like Gu Xi.

No way, absolutely no way!

With this thought, Calimduo and the others stopped purposely.

”Mr. Gu, it seems you’ve been working hard these three days.”

”Just so-so, I haven’t had much rest for three days.”

Now knowing the others’ intentions, Gu Xi wasn’t very polite with his response.

Listening to Gu Xi’s tone, a smile appeared on Calimduo’s skeletal face.

”No worries, you won’t need to do more, just watch. Once we’ve taken out Naviduo, there will naturally be a place for you in the new academy.”

But Gu Xi raised his head, ”Dean Calimduo, I wish to contend for something regarding the new academy.”

”What do you want to contend for?”

”The position of the first department, you see, I have prepared everything, I even brought out my most important thing.”

As Gu Xi spoke, he pointed toward the center of the camp.

There lay the base of the Reincarnation Disc, which had just been moved over.

This was a choice made after discussions with Luna.

Gu Xi knew he must produce an artifact that could be used for teaching the Soul Summoning Skill.

Initially, Gu Xi thought of placing the Soul Summoning Tower in the academy.

After all, the Soul Summoning Tower was closely linked to the Soul Summoning Skill.

But Luna disagreed.

It wasn’t that Luna wanted to keep the Soul Summoning Tower in Yalidov City.

Instead, Luna believed that any undead mage could build a Soul Summoning Tower.

Even non-undead mages could construct a Soul Summoning Tower in designated areas as long as they had the blueprints.

If Calimduo thought it through, he could entirely build his own Soul Summoning Tower.

With two such towers competing, it was unknown which the new academy would choose.

Therefore, Gu Xi had to bring out something better.

Among all these things, only the base of the Six Paths Reincarnation Disc was most appropriate.

Although this item was extremely useful to Gu Xi too, as having the base allowed for absorbing new souls from Victoria City into Yalidov City,

the Mysterious Academy needed this item more urgently now.

Thus, Gu Xi naturally took it out.

Calimduo and others didn’t know what Gu Xi brought out, and when they saw the stone platform in the center of the camp, they were puzzled.

”What’s this?”

”Oh, it was mentioned that each department should have an artifact.

This is the artifact I prepared; I plan to teach the Soul Summoning Skill.

No matter the profession, as long as they come to my department, I can ensure they learn the Soul Summoning Skill.

This is the base of the Reincarnation Disc; just walking around it once, one can learn it, just like touching the Sword of Leadership allowed one to learn the Leadership Skill.

Rest assured, this base of the Reincarnation Disc is more advanced than the Soul Summoning Tower, even if someone builds their own Soul Summoning Tower, they can’t match the usefulness of this base of mine.

What, isn’t this good enough?”

Listening to Gu Xi’s words, the smile on Calimduo’s face disappeared.

He realized that Gu Xi was not as clueless as they thought but actually knew even more.
