Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 484: Chapter 482: Methods for Establishing a Faculty

As for the last white-bearded old man, he told Gu Xi one thing.

Before establishing your own department, be sure to prepare the department’s name, treasures, and secret chambers.

These are the keys to a department. If you are inheriting an old department, it’s fine; whatever was there is yours, and there’s not much to say about it.

However, Gu Xi is establishing a new department.

If he doesn’t prepare in advance, when the new department is built, the treasures and secret chambers will appear randomly, and as the head of the department, if Gu Xi knows nothing about them, it would be a huge embarrassment.

Most importantly, if he sets ahead of time the benefits of the treasures and secret chambers, he won’t be able to claim them later.

You should know that if you present prepared treasures in advance, even if they are gray garbage, as long as they fit the style of the new department, they can be elevated to a similar level as purple ones.

Although they can only be used within the Mysterious Academy.

Although they can only be placed somewhere to allow people to grasp the department’s professor skills, the effects of these items are by no means weak.

Not to mention the secret chambers; a department without one is hardly a department.

So before Gu Xi accepts authority to establish a department, he must handle all this properly.

If he misses this opportunity, Gu Xi will miss a lot.

Listening to the teachings of these three former deans of the Mysterious Academy, Gu Xi kept nodding and quite decisively took out pen and paper to record all the information.

Seeing Gu Xi so earnest, these three were quite happy, and they complemented each other; soon Gu Xi had a reasonable plan to establish the first department.

They even thought about how to help Gu Xi paint portraits in oil and arrange manpower within the Mysterious Academy.

The three professors determined what kind of people to choose and what abilities the staff should have.

It could be said that these three paved the way for Gu Xi.

Almost hand-holding to help Gu Xi.

When everything was settled, these three were still sighing there.

”You’ve really caught a good time.

You might not know that the Mysterious Academy has special blessings. After becoming the dean, within the Mysterious Academy, strength can directly reach Level 18, and in external battles, you can temporarily borrow Level 18 combat power to fight.

Vice-deans are Level 16, department heads Level 15. Most professors are Level 13, and the average staff level is about Level 11.

You are not even Level 5 now, right? This not only allows you to temporarily borrow Level 15 power in external fights.

But that is not the biggest advantage.

The biggest advantage is when you level up, you will receive some enhancement.

The people like Calimduo you mentioned, their levels are about Level 14, and they only have one opportunity to strengthen themselves.

But you are below Level 5 now.

As long as you can stabilize in the position of department head, you will receive three chances for enhancement at the breakthroughs of Level 5, 10, and 15.

Then you will understand how much of an advantage you will have taken.”

This situation made Gu Xi’s eyes shine.

If it’s truly like this, then the gains within the Mysterious Academy this time will be substantial.

”Alright, we have taught you everything, you now should quickly handle some things.

Don’t forget the conditions you promised us.”

”Rest assured, professors, there will definitely be a position reserved for you.”

Gu Xi immediately agreed to everything.

He didn’t even choose to have the three-in-one Undead join his team to become his subordinates.

Gu Xi clearly understood that the reason these three were willing to communicate with him was entirely because they saw some of his abilities and wanted to get rid of their current situation where they couldn’t leave.

They didn’t truly wish to join Gu Xi’s subordinates.

Gu Xi hasn’t completed the task of the Death Lord skill yet, so he couldn’t force them.

Plus, with their current attitude, Gu Xi felt that the current situation was actually the best.

After leaving this tomb, which looked like a Divine Hall, Gu Xi turned his head to look back.

As a result, when he turned back, he found that the tomb like the Divine Hall had disappeared, leaving only three not-so-small tombstones.

In front of the tombstones, the giant Skeleton still stood there.

If not for the notebook in Gu Xi’s hand recording all kinds of information, Gu Xi would have doubted whether the previous events were an illusion.

Rereading his notebook, Gu Xi swiftly got up and headed towards the position where he stationed at the three city gates.

The giant Skeleton was now Gu Xi’s subordinate.

It quickly followed behind Gu Xi, always following him no matter where he went.

Gu Xi noticed that as the giant Skeleton moved forward, its right hand remained in a virtual grip, and in the palm of its right hand, a chain of electricity constantly flickered.

This situation surprised Gu Xi a little.

He kept looking at the giant Skeleton.

But this guy had become a Skeleton, and one could not see its original appearance at all. As for the clothing on its body, with such a big body, where would you find Armor for it? It just had a piece of white cloth draped over it.

This piece of white cloth was casually tied at the waist, showing the Skeleton’s slender waist.

Apart from that, there was nothing else to cover it.

Since the giant Skeleton was leading the way earlier, Gu Xi didn’t pay much attention.

Now that Gu Xi had spare time, he actually became a bit interested in the giant Skeleton.

Gu Xi could feel that the bones of this giant Skeleton were distinctly different from those of a regular Skeleton Soldier.

The bones on its body were somewhat like those of the Death Incarnation, all having been fortified to some extent.

However, the bones of the Death Incarnation were fortified using Copper Bone level Dragon Fish Bone.

In front of him, the bones of this giant Skeleton seemed to be influenced and fortified by elements such as Thunder.

Some of the changes in this were not visible to ordinary people, but a high-level Undead Mage could somewhat perceive them.

The more Gu Xi looked, the more he felt that acquiring an army like the giant Skeleton was not a loss at all.

While researching the giant Skeleton, Gu Xi and his group finally returned to the starting place.

At this moment, Amirka was engaged in combat with an Undead.

This Undead was a Bone Dragon, even larger than the Death Incarnation, but compared to the Death Incarnation, it was just bigger, and hadn’t received much other enhancement.

It could hold its own against Amirka, mainly because it could fly; in other aspects, it had no enhancements, not even the unique curse effect of a Bone Dragon.

Facing Amirka, it had no advantages at all and couldn’t even defeat the six trash Bone Dragons at the main city gate, being easily overwhelmed.
