Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 456: Chapter 454: Learning Leadership Skill

When this giant skull rose, for some reason, Gu Xi always had the idea that the skull seemed well-suited to the Death Giant Armor.

This thought only flashed through Gu Xi’s mind.

Immediately, Gu Xi’s attention was drawn to the Black-robed Skeleton emerging from the giant skull’s mouth.

”Oh, it’s you. You’re back so quickly? Did you get what I wanted?”

Gu Xi nodded, took out the packaged Skull Flowers, and placed them on the ground.

Seeing ten Skull Flowers packed in a box, the eye sockets of the Black-robed Skeleton visibly brightened.

”Yes, this is exactly what I wanted. It seems you really have ability.”

The Black-robed Skeleton paused for a moment, then quickly reacted, jumping out of the giant skull’s mouth and walking over to Gu Xi.

”You said before you wanted to learn Leadership Skill, right? Here you go.”

The Black-robed Skeleton casually handed a skull to Gu Xi.

Gu Xi took the skull, looking at the Black-robed Skeleton with some confusion.

”Place this on your forehead, and you can learn the Leadership Skill.”

Gu Xi glanced at the skull, a hint of doubt flashing in his eyes.

Because when he took the skull, he did not receive any notice about completing the temporary task.

Previously, Gu Xi might have chosen to believe it.

But ever since the Life-taking Stone incident, Gu Xi had become quite wary of certain things.

As for things that directly affect the spirit, Gu Xi wouldn’t dare to mess around.

”Forget it, is there a more direct method? You had issued a task before, just confirm it, and let me complete the task.”

Gu Xi pushed the skull back, returning it to the Black-robed Skeleton’s hands.

The flame in the Black-robed Skeleton’s eye sockets instantly turned ice blue.

However, he did not have any conflict with Gu Xi.

He issued the task, Gu Xi completed the task, so the promised reward must be given.

Previously, Gu Xi’s Death City and Death Incarnation were obtained in the same way.

The Black-robed Skeleton had no reason to withhold Gu Xi’s rewards.

He grinned, a cold voice emanating from his throat.

”Alright!”

In the next instant, a voice sounded by Gu Xi’s ear.

[Temporary Task: The progress of White Bone Flower occurs a change, Skull Flower submitted.]

[Temporary Task: White Bone Flower (Complete)]

[Task Rewards: Leadership Skill.]

[Leadership Skill Level 1, improving troop morale, with each level increase of Leadership Skill, troop morale +1, the probability of high morale increases by 4.2%.]

[Note 1: Undead and mechanical creatures are not affected by morale.]

[Note 2: After learning Leadership Skill, you will embark on a new path. When choosing a path, be sure to note that once chosen, you cannot go back.]

Seeing the Leadership Skill finally learned, a trace of amusement flashed in Gu Xi’s eyes.

However, his attention was quickly drawn to the second note.

It seems he’s not the only one choosing Leadership Skill when there’s no need for it under his command.

But what exactly does this so-called choice of paths refer to?

In this regard, Gu Xi was somewhat uncertain.

Surely, there’s not another direction besides the Death Decree path?

While Gu Xi was pondering this situation, the Black-robed Skeleton spoke again at this moment.

His tone reverted to its original state.

”I say, now that you’ve mastered Leadership Skill, would you like to learn Logistics as well? By the way, I have a task and I’d like your help, if you’re willing to take it?”

”I’m willing, but not right now.”

Gu Xi replied casually.

”I’ve taken on several other tasks here, and now that I’ve learned the most important Leadership Skill, I can take it easy for a while here.”

Outwardly, Gu Xi said this, but he actually had no intention of completing the tasks over at Madam Sha’s side.

At this moment, Gu Xi’s only thought was to find a safe place and first learn the three sub-skills under Leadership Skill.

Then he would think of a way to impact the Death Decree.

If luck was on his side, he could settle the Death Decree this time.

If his luck wasn’t good, he’d have to find a way again.

Then he’d have to try negotiating with the Black-robed Skeleton and Madam Sha to see if he could get one or two Skill Stones, ensuring he could learn the Death Decree at the Mysterious Academy.

After all, Gu Xi knew where he could learn the Death Decree.

However, Gu Xi never would have expected that his pretext would trigger a response from the Black-robed Skeleton.

The flames in the Black-robed Skeleton’s eye sockets turned ice blue again.

Nonetheless, he did not stop Gu Xi from leaving, but instead said to Gu Xi: ”That’s appropriate, but let me warn you, I’m a mortal enemy of the one inside the train. If you go there now, you’re sure to be attacked.”

”Don’t worry about that, my main goal this time is Leadership Skill. Everything else is secondary. I can’t learn anything besides Leadership Skill at the train, so there’s no point in me going there.”

The Black-robed Skeleton nodded in satisfaction, ”That’s right. Oh, if you want to learn Pathfinding Skill, you can keep heading north. In the depths of the mountains, there’s a large platform where you can find the people from the Bat Department. They will assign you the task of learning Pathfinding Skill.”

”A platform, huh?”

Gu Xi thought about the Sky City he had seen in the sky before and made some judgment.

For the Black-robed Skeleton’s kindness, Gu Xi responded with a smile: ”Alright, I understand, thank you very much.”

”It’s nothing. We were destined to meet, as they say. If you want to learn anything else, feel free to come find me. I guarantee you’ll be taught well here.”

Gu Xi didn’t take these words to heart. At this moment, he only thought of leaving quickly to first settle the Death Decree.

Seeing how eager Gu Xi was to leave, the Black-robed Skeleton didn’t stop him.

This time, though, as Gu Xi left, the Black-robed Skeleton didn’t enter the underground through the giant skull like before but instead watched Gu Xi’s departing direction with a peculiar expression.

After Gu Xi had gone far, a Skeleton Giant Beast descended from the sky. This beast resembled a reindeer with bat wings and a crocodile’s tail.

When it landed beside the Black-robed Skeleton, it was noticeably larger than the giant skeleton on which the Black-robed Skeleton stood.

At the forehead of this giant beast was embedded a longsword very similar to Danares’ Sword.

”Just a little bit more, it was just a little bit away. Why is that wretched guy so stubborn?

But fortunately, the Death Giant Armor has been dealt with. Now, go retrieve Professor Matt’s corpse. As long as we get the Soul-controlling Bell from his hands, we can activate the scattered puppets here.”

The Black-robed Skeleton ordered with some frustration as he glanced at the Skeleton Giant Beast beside him.
