Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 464: Chapter 462: Discoveries and Gains on the Battlefield

”Clean up the battlefield...”

As the largest Mad Willow fell, the battle here was nearing its end.

Gu Xi released the Ghost Squad and began ordering them to clean up the battlefield.

However, the command was only half given when Gu Xi’s attention was drawn to a longsword stuck in the fallen Mad Willow.

That longsword looked somewhat similar to Danares’ Sword.

However, there were still some differences in the details.

Gu Xi noticed that there was a wolf tooth attached to the handle of this longsword.

[You have come into contact with Domredor’s Sword!]

[Domredor’s Sword (Gray): While a student, Mage Domredor came into contact with the Sword of Leadership and gained its approval. However, he never learned swordsmanship, believing the sword was already a part of his body, merged with his claws.

During a battle, he drove this longsword into a big tree and infused his mad blood into the tree through the sword, using the plant to suppress the madness in his heart.]

Compared to the previous Danares’ Sword, this longsword did not have such destructive power and did not cause any harm to Gu Xi.

Looking at the tree stump with the Domredor’s Sword before him, Gu Xi turned around and gestured.

”You, come here, take this stump along with the sword to Yalidu City.”

After giving the orders, Gu Xi also pondered how many people in that Mysterious Academy had received the Sword of Leadership and gained its approval.

Is it that everyone who is recognized by the Sword of Leadership leaves behind a longsword?

Gu Xi wasn’t aware that such incidents of fake academy treasures were quite common.

Almost every professor graduated from the Crocodile Department had such a longsword, after all, that department was known for producing Sword Saints.

Just like every Reindeer Department graduate professor always had a backpack three to five times larger than others.

Some would learn swordsmanship to conveniently use the longsword.

Some even directly became Sword Saints who only knew Flash Skill.

However, some professors themselves didn’t know how to use a sword. After receiving the longsword, they used it in various other ways.

After the Mysterious Academy disappeared, their swords were left behind instead.

Becoming something that could often be seen here.

Gu Xi’s time here hadn’t been long. If he stayed longer, he might see more similar longswords.

But Gu Xi didn’t know, so he didn’t know.

After his men uprooted the stump, Gu Xi stood by the pit and glanced down.

”One of you, is there something below, go help me bring it up.”

Gu Xi pointed into the pit, asking somewhat uncertainly.

Just as he spoke, a bunch of ghosts jumped down and brought everything from below up.

Gu Xi noticed that one of them was a relatively normal skull, but Gu Xi was sure that it was this thing that had attracted him.

Seeing this skull, Gu Xi frowned, understanding why he had paid special attention to it.

Previously at the Black-robed Skeleton, he initially didn’t want to complete the task but wanted to use the skull way to learn Leadership Skill himself.

The skull he took out then was somewhat similar to this one.

Because this incident had a considerable impact on Gu Xi, he was quick to remember this kind of skull.

Now, seeing a similar skull unintentionally, Gu Xi naturally took notice.

Understanding why he was so excited, Gu Xi immediately picked up the skull.

As soon as Gu Xi touched the skull, a message popped up before him.

[You have obtained the Heritage Skull (Druid)]

[Heritage Skull (Druid): Allows learning of skills exclusive to the Druid class, Werewolf Transformation, can transform into Werewolf for battle, and use the Werewolf Talent Tree (available to other professions)]

Looking at the skull’s information, Gu Xi put it down.

Druid was a class Gu Xi liked quite a bit.

If he didn’t take the path of an Undead Mage, he might have become a Druid.

However, even if he became a Druid, he wouldn’t take the transformation path; transforming into a beastly brute wasn’t Gu Xi’s direction.

Even hearing that Papap Bear was invincible under the heavens, Gu Xi was indifferent to such a path.

In his view, if he truly became a Druid, he’d likely focus on tree planting, using plants or other small animals for combat, and himself, casting a small spell far from the main battlefield.

Gu Xi felt this item was useless, tossing the Heritage Skull up and down in his hand, intending to put it away.

At this point, Gu Xi’s followers brought over other items.

This time they brought processed Fire Rat Hide and Fire Rat Bones.

Among them was the task item Gu Xi needed, the Fire Rat King’s Fang.

Taking the tooth, Gu Xi was about to have the remaining items sent to Yalidu City.

Unexpectedly, the tooth’s prompt showed Gu Xi something different.

[Fire Rat King’s Fang (Gray): The fang of the mightiest Fire Rat King, Fire Rats need to defeat at least a thousand peers to become a new king, and their fangs are stained with the blood of Fire Rats.

Book buckles made from this fang can keep books dry for a long time.]

”Looks like Madam Sha didn’t ask for much.”

Seeing its attributes, Gu Xi couldn’t help but remark.

If it were true like the Fire Rat King’s fang before him, the two remaining task items of Madam Sha might also be good for protecting or creating books.

These were things Madam Sha couldn’t conveniently find, yet quite needed.

It’s just a pity that Madam Sha is no longer around, and neither is his library.

Shaking his head, Gu Xi turned to the Ghost Squad to give orders.

”Transport all the wood here back too, don’t let the wood here go to waste.

These are great for crafting magic wands...”

Before Gu Xi finished his words, he noticed something not right in the Mad Willow Forest; a group of undead seemed to be doing something there.

”What are you doing?”

Gu Xi curiously went over.

Upon arrival, Gu Xi saw a tree pit clearly uprooted, with numerous black pots scattered around its edge.

Is this? Bone ash?

Looking at the overturned and broken pots with gray-white powder, Gu Xi had a guess.

”What happened here? How was it discovered?”

The undead surrounding couldn’t explain, ultimately, several leading undead bosses gestured for a long time before Gu Xi understood the situation.
