Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 476: Chapter 474: Mission Target Becomes Ally

Let’s go take a look.

Since I’m already here.

With this thought in mind, Gu Xi appeared near Isabella’s territory.

It wasn’t much different from the other mountain peaks among the ranges, with ancient towering trees and jagged rocks.

However, Gu Xi noticed that the trees here were mostly fruit trees.

Among these fruit trees, most of the fruits were blood-red, with only a few being green. But Gu Xi noticed that these green fruits often had eyes or distorted human faces on them.

Standing outside this forest, Gu Xi did not initiate an attack.

He thought for a moment, and, holding his Cold Wind Staff, used a Soul Summoning Skill on the ground of the forest.

In the next instant, Gu Xi saw an exceptionally dense Blood Cloud rise within the forest.

In the Blood Cloud, Gu Xi didn’t sense any resentment; instead, it was full of vitality.

”Don’t randomly use the Soul Summoning Skill here.”

From within the Blood Cloud appeared a female Vampire. She was distinctly different from Gu Xi’s subordinate, Di Mi. Her height was relatively normal, with a head of silver hair, wearing a silver Rose Battle Skirt, and a crown made of Blood Rose and Black Rose.

In her hand, she carried a silver Longsword.

This Longsword was quite similar to the ones Gu Xi had seen before.

Standing above the Blood Cloud, this Vampire stared at Gu Xi for a moment.

”Your right hand has been injured, your body once suffered from hunger, and you have taken a few hits. You once overused your brain, but aside from that, there’s nothing wrong. Just give me a drop of blood, and I can heal all your injuries.”

”I’m not here for healing, I want to...”

”No, you want nothing. I won’t join under anyone. You don’t need to seek me out anymore.”

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s words, the Vampire retreated directly into the Blood Cloud, ”Don’t use the Soul Summoning Skill here next time. If you do, I’ll drain you dry.”

”Wait, won’t you hear my offer?”

”No need. If I wanted to have a formal position, I have plenty of opportunities to become the head of the Academy. I’m only here because it’s easier to obtain suitable blood.

Since you are unwilling to pay even a little blood, there’s nothing for us to discuss.”

Without another word, Gu Xi flicked his hand, and a drop of blood was sent flying.

The Vampire caught the drop of blood, looked up at Gu Xi, rolled her eyes, and said, ”No sincerity.”

It turned out Gu Xi had already discerned what the Vampire needed. The drop of blood he flicked had removed all his information, containing only what the Vampire required and the gratitude of the healed.

But it was precisely because Gu Xi had tampered with the blood that the Vampire accused him of lacking sincerity.

”Sit under the tree. I will heal you, no need to say more.”

With that, the Vampire pointed the Longsword in her hand at Gu Xi.

Gu Xi thought the Vampire was about to attack. Unexpectedly, a golden Holy Grail flew out from the Blood Cloud behind her, filled with blood.

Then, blood rain began to fall from the sky.

Gu Xi discovered that the blood rain centered around him, covering a range of about ten meters. Wherever Gu Xi looked, it was in a state of torrential rain.

But very quickly, Gu Xi felt his entire body warm up.

The right hand that had been healed by the Medical Tent was now even more flexible, and the injuries that hadn’t been properly treated before were now all healed.

After the blood rain stopped, Gu Xi let out a long sigh of relief.

”Thank you!”

At this moment, Gu Xi also gave up the idea of making things difficult for this Vampire.

She clearly didn’t want to get involved in the various conflicts of the Academy.

She had her own matters to attend to.

Such a being, Gu Xi didn’t want to trouble.

Instead of spending time on this, he might as well seek out others, perhaps those unyielding ones who attacked as soon as they met.

When dealing with such Undead, Gu Xi wouldn’t feel any spiritual pressure.

So, Gu Xi stood up and nodded to the Vampire, preparing to leave.

Just at that moment, Gu Xi noticed a point of white light flying into the Blood Cloud.

Gu Xi paused, ”I want to ask, are you gathering so much blood to resurrect someone?”

The Vampire was stunned for a moment, staring into Gu Xi’s eyes.

”That has nothing to do with you.”

”No, I just want to remind you, if you’re pursuing options beyond the third attempt, there might be other approaches.”

The Vampire stared at Gu Xi for a long time, ”Have you also encountered a situation where all three opportunities were used up, forcing you to choose other methods?”

”Yes, a friend of mine, who was quite stubborn, used up all three chances: resurrection, Undead Transformation, and Soul Summoning Skill. Going further would turn into a soulless ordinary Skeleton.

In the end, I met someone who taught me a method that secretly bypasses the three-opportunity limit, giving me a new chance.”

”I see. I am also trying to bypass the three-opportunity limit, but Vampires are different from other Undead.

Being resurrected by blood isn’t counted in the three-time limit for Vampires.

But the person I want to resurrect lost all three opportunities due to multiple resurrections by blood.

Now, as soon as he touches a drop of blood, he will become the most ordinary Vampire.

Though I don’t care how strong or weak he becomes, I can’t stand seeing him unable to fulfill his own desire.

So I’ve been collecting blood here, trying to find a drop most suitable for him, preventing him from turning into an ordinary Vampire.

So I guess it’s no use. Apart from this path, no other route suits him.”

At this, the Vampire paused, then smiled, ”But thank you anyway. At least you’re the first to notice and care about him.”

Gu Xi felt a little helpless about the situation in front of him. Listening to the Vampire, Gu Xi could see clearly that this situation didn’t fit Gu Xi’s plan.

It seemed there was no way for Gu Xi to help the Vampire’s friend get around this.

At least the Mermaid’s method was of no use to this Vampire.

”Then there’s nothing I can do. I hope you find suitable materials. By the way, if you can’t find the right blood, you might try non-blood sources.

I have a Red Knight, which is a blood-changing knight using mercury as the main ingredient. If you’re willing, I can copy this part of the recipe for you.”

The Vampire’s gaze on Gu Xi visibly improved.

”Thank you. I understand your intentions. I’ll be staying at the Academy for a long time next, and I’ll continue to be there, supporting your endeavors.

I am Isabella. If you need anything, feel free to find me.”
