With the help of the secret passage, the map in Gu Xi’s hand became useless.

Because what’s recorded on the map isn’t as comprehensive as what the old man remembers.

There’s no need for Gu Xi to take out the map or anything; as soon as Gu Xi speaks, the old man’s able to find the secret passage from the past.

Then Gu Xi steps forward and uses a Soul Summoning Skill to draw people out, speaks a few words, and the matter is mostly settled.

Most of the Undead give Gu Xi (Death Lord) some face.

Only a very small number of the Undead, for various reasons, choose to remain neutral again.

A large part of the reason is they have better privileges; after joining Gu Xi, at most these privileges remain, but they can’t gain any advancements.

So they are unwilling to join, but they have no intention of being enemies with Gu Xi. Instead, they courteously explain the situation, send Gu Xi away, and guarantee that as long as Gu Xi is present, they will definitely provide ample help from their side.

Just like the old man who opened the secret passage.

The majority of the remaining neutral entities choose to join Gu Xi’s team.

Some have their own ideas, some simply don’t want to work anymore and want to change places, and some have no privileges and want to gain privileges.

After making this round, when Gu Xi arrived at Isabella’s mentioned gathering place, his Death Lord Level had already increased by 1.

This shows how many Undead Gu Xi had subdued this time.

Even the old man leading the way was impressed by Gu Xi’s operations, following obediently behind. Although he hasn’t changed his words yet, Gu Xi believes that in the future, he can completely command this old man.

However, the old man doesn’t say anything, nor does Gu Xi, so they just continue in this way.

”Mr. Gu, the gathering point depicted on the map is right here; walk about five hundred meters forward and you’ll reach it.”

After sending Gu Xi out of the secret passage, the old man pointed in a direction and spoke to Gu Xi.

Regarding the old man’s situation, Gu Xi was already accustomed; the old man could lead Gu Xi in and out of the secret passage.

But no matter what, he wouldn’t move more than ten meters away from the entrance of the secret passage.

So each time, he just pointed a direction and let Gu Xi find the person he wanted on his own.

This time was no exception, after thanking the old man, Gu Xi jumped onto the Evil Coffin heading towards the gathering point.

Shaya followed behind Gu Xi, and as they moved forward, Shaya said, ”Master, do you really believe there is a large gathering of Undead here?”

”I believe.”

Sitting on the Evil Coffin, Gu Xi thought for a moment and decisively said, ”I’ve encountered this situation before. It’s just that last time it was the former president, dying in the president’s position with a dedicated tomb; this time it’s some faculty members.

This situation is actually quite reasonable.

It’s only that previously they didn’t communicate with outsiders, so not many people knew.”

While speaking, Gu Xi and Shaya arrived at the map-indicated location.

Before them was a rare barren area among the mountains, desolate all around with only stones and sandy land, not a single blade of grass on the ground.

But Gu Xi and Shaya could both see something was obviously wrong.

Gu Xi and Shaya exchanged glances, raised the Cold Wind Staff, and cast a Soul Summoning Skill towards the vacant land in front of them.

As the Soul Summoning Skill landed, the scene where the Undead would directly emerge from the ground didn’t happen before Gu Xi.

Before his eyes, it seemed like a scroll was being unfurled, revealing a chaotic marketplace built in a disordered manner right before Gu Xi.

This marketplace before him was cobbled together with many tents, including proper cloth tents, red-roofed leather tents, and some shabby tents sewn directly from clothes.

When this market appeared before Gu Xi, he paused slightly.

The next moment, Gu Xi saw many Undead crawling out from the tents, among these Undead were ordinary Skeletons, Zombies, and Ghosts, as well as some high-tier Undead; Gu Xi even saw some animal-type Undead here.

No matter how they are now, all of them looked at Gu Xi, staring at him, seemingly evaluating how best to make a move.

Facing such Undead, Gu Xi wasn’t afraid; at this moment, he had already seen that these Undead had a yellow aura above their heads.

Neutral, then that’s fine.

Gu Xi stepped forward and waved directly at them.

”Hello there.”

As soon as he spoke, most of the Undead’s aura above their heads turned pale green.

It’s apparent that just by Gu Xi speaking, these Undead would develop goodwill.

At this point, Gu Xi knew things were stable.

He took out a key and raised it above his head, loudly saying, ”As you can see, the new academy is about to be established, and I will become the head of one department in this new academy.

I still need some assistants to fill faculty positions, and of course, there are some non-faculty positions too; I know many positions are vacant right now.

These positions all need manpower, and you were faculty members in the academy before.

Now though laid-off, without privileges, your previous experience is still there, right?

As long as you are willing, I can push you up.

Of course, if pushing you up doesn’t work, it doesn’t matter; I also have a city of my own.

Inside, there’s a shortage of a large number of hands.

I suppose you are always being ostracized, right? As long as you are willing, you can work in my city at any time.”

With Gu Xi stating these terms, the aura above the heads of the Undead here also turned from pale green to deep green.

Finally, a Skeleton raised an arm, ”I want to join you, but I don’t want to stay in this academy anymore. I want to go to your city.”

”Sure, welcome!”

Accompanied by a ’ding’ sound in his ear, a slight smile appeared on Gu Xi’s face.

[You convinced an Undead to join your team, Death Lord gains 1 point of experience.]

With the first one, naturally, there would be a second, a third.

Soon the Undead began to state their requirements.

Gu Xi did not agree to each, only those willing to enter Yalidu City would he immediately agree; the others wishing for academy positions would need Gu Xi to check if these Undead conflicted with his prior arrangements.

With Gu Xi’s responsible attitude, the Undead had even greater goodwill, some Undead, upon confirming there’s no position for them in the academy, were also ready to opt for Yalidu City.

Faced with such choices, Gu Xi wasn’t dismissive, but instead adopted a welcoming attitude. As long as someone was willing to join, he would immediately step forward to send them off.

It took less than half an hour, and more than half of the Undead here had been sent away by Gu Xi.

The remaining Undead, although not joining Gu Xi, did not trouble him either.

This shows the strength of this Death Lord’s abilities.
