The Death Incarnation that charged out of the black mist was entirely brass-colored, and at the first opportunity, it tackled the Blacksmith Sewn Monster to the ground, biting its neck.

The Blacksmith Sewn Monster didn’t expect Gu Xi to suddenly launch such an attack. Pressed to the ground by the Death Incarnation, it swung back with a hammer, and the prepared spell fell onto the Death Incarnation.

Through the connection with the Death Incarnation, Gu Xi also knew the spell cast by the Blacksmith Sewn Monster.

Stone Skin!

This was another spell that boosted a companion’s defense power.

This clearly didn’t seem right.

What exactly was this Blacksmith Sewn Monster trying to do?

But the Blacksmith Sewn Monster didn’t give Gu Xi any chance to react, ignoring the Death Incarnation’s attacks, and cast four or five more defensive spells onto the Death Incarnation.

Finally, the Blacksmith Sewn Monster roared, and a crimson blood line extended from its body, landing on the Death Incarnation.

Gu Xi recognized this spell as well.

This was Damage Sharing.

At this moment, the Blacksmith Sewn Monster finally made a serious move, striking the Death Incarnation with a hammer.

Gu Xi saw that both the Death Incarnation and the Blacksmith Sewn Monster lost 10 Life each.

Gu Xi instantly understood.

The Blacksmith Sewn Monster had done all of that just to bring the enemy’s defense power to the same level as its own.

Then, using this Damage Sharing trick, it competed in health.

Though Gu Xi was somewhat confused why it needed to do this; wouldn’t it be easier to just attack directly in front of the enemy rather than making it so complicated?

In truth, Gu Xi didn’t understand that the Blacksmith Sewn Monster had no other choice.

It was an entire ritual, somewhat like War Shackles.

As long as both sides’ defense power was the same, they could engage in a brawl.

Both sides could use their most powerful skills to attack each other, but the damage would be shared evenly.

This was about who had the longer life line.

The loser would automatically become the winner’s food, a part of the winner.

And the Blacksmith Sewn Monster had played this for so many years, its health was so high that even it didn’t know how strong it was, so it was never afraid to compete in health lines.

When encountering an undefeatable enemy, it used such a technique to drag the enemy down to its own level for combat.

Although Gu Xi had escaped, the existence of the Death Incarnation satisfied the Blacksmith Sewn Monster considerably.

It fancied the bones of the Death Incarnation; in its eyes, the quality of these Copper Bones was quite decent.

When equipped, its Life could increase a lot more.

As for whether the Death Incarnation knew this, it didn’t care at all; since the ritual had begun, it wouldn’t stop.

It was sure it would win again.

But at this moment, Gu Xi realized something was wrong.

He noticed that whether it was the Death Incarnation attacking or the Blacksmith Sewn Monster attacking, the Life deducted from both sides was the same.

However, the Death Incarnation’s Life Force was clearly less than that of the Blacksmith Sewn Monster.

If this continued, the Death Incarnation would face issues.

After some thought, Gu Xi quickly took out a Miniature Magic Potion that could restore 100 Mana and drank it.

He then raised his Cold Wind Staff.

Seeing Gu Xi intending to act, a hint of a smile flashed in the eyes of the Blacksmith Sewn Monster.

Its ritual had already started, and whether it was the attacks from both sides or from outside, the damage received by the two was the same.

So even if Gu Xi attacked again now, it wouldn’t help.

Ultimately, the one to die first would definitely be the Death Incarnation.

The Blacksmith Sewn Monster was rather confident in this.

But it never imagined that Gu Xi didn’t want to play by its rules at all.

After replenishing his Mana, Gu Xi pointed his Cold Wind Staff outwards, not casting any attack, but summoning a new Death Incarnation.

The newly summoned Death Incarnation wasn’t burdened by all the various buffing effects.

The balance in defense power between the two sides instantly tipped.

The Blacksmith Sewn Monster’s ritual was naturally disrupted.

The Death Incarnation, flying out from the black mist again, pounced on the Blacksmith Sewn Monster once more.

This time, the Death Incarnation didn’t hold back, unleashing on the Blacksmith Sewn Monster.

Death Dragon Breath!

The Death Incarnation spewed a normal Death Dragon Breath, and the green beam struck the Blacksmith Sewn Monster, rapidly sapping its life.

Under such an attack, the Blacksmith Sewn Monster had no time for anything else, continuously hammering the Death Incarnation’s body.

But the Death Incarnation didn’t care about this.

Even if the body was blasted into fragments, Gu Xi could bring it back with a spell.

So it didn’t bother, and when the Death Dragon Breath fell, its eyes widened, releasing two Melting Light Rays.

After unleashing everything, the Death Incarnation bit down heavily on the Blacksmith Sewn Monster’s head.

Simultaneously, its tail kept striking the Blacksmith Sewn Monster.

Gu Xi glanced at the Blacksmith Sewn Monster’s Life.

He had to admit, this guy’s Life was still long; after such a wave, it had only lost half its health.

Gu Xi quickly refilled his Mana, and another new Death Incarnation flew out.

The Blacksmith Sewn Monster then realized that Gu Xi’s Death Incarnation was merely a spell.

Moreover, it was perfectly counteracting its own.

Its ritual simply couldn’t be applied to the Death Incarnation.

As for Gu Xi, since jumping away the first time, he hadn’t been affected by any buffing effects.

Trying to use this trick on Gu Xi wouldn’t work.

So the Blacksmith Sewn Monster immediately switched to another tactic.

Its cracks flipped outwards, and many arms extended from its abdomen, trying to pull the Death Incarnation in.

When its abdomen opened, Gu Xi noticed an actual smelting furnace inside.

It seemed that this being had really placed its Blacksmith Shop inside its abdomen.

Now it intended to melt the Death Incarnation.

Gu Xi didn’t want his Death Incarnation to disappear just like that, so he planned to issue a command to it.

Yet, to his surprise, the Death Incarnation reacted faster than him, and it ducked its head and dove into the Blacksmith Sewn Monster’s abdomen by itself.

Then the Death Incarnation spat out a purple orb.

Gu Xi was startled; wasn’t this the orb left behind by the Netherworld Phoenix Cavalry after dying?

This seemed to be the authority of the Netherworld Phoenix in the academy.

Before Gu Xi could speak, the orb exploded, shattering the Death Incarnation’s body.

Simultaneously, the Blacksmith Sewn Monster’s body was blown into two halves, its Life Force directly plummeting to the bottom.

At this moment, Gu Xi did not summon another Death Incarnation; instead, he raised his Cold Wind Staff, aiming in the direction of the Blacksmith Sewn Monster.

”Do you surrender?”
