Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 151: Chapter 151: The End of July

”So childish!”

Su Qinghe gave him a strange look, momentarily at a loss for words.

After watching Wang Zibo walk off into the distance, Gu Yifan turned back to Su Qinghe and said, ”Come on, Hanhan, let’s continue!”

”Oh, okay.” 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

Su Qinghe didn’t say anything, just nodded obediently.

Eating grapes fed to him by Su Qinghe while watching beautiful women in bikinis play volleyball on the beach!

Ah, this was the life...

Meanwhile, Su Qinghe saw Gu Yifan staring nonstop at the women in bikinis. Her lips parted as if she wanted to say something, but in the end, she said nothing at all.

She glanced down at her own loose-fitting t-shirt, which covered her up completely, and fell into a moment of contemplation...

”Hanhan, what are you spacing out for? Keep going!”

Gu Yifan’s voice sounded in her ear.

”Oh, okay.”

Snapping out of it, Su Qinghe quickly nodded and resumed her feeding duties.

...

「A dozen or so minutes later.」

Wang Zibo returned, looking dejected. Seeing his strange expression, Gu Yifan asked in confusion, ”Wait a minute, what the hell? You’re done swimming without even getting wet?”

At the question, Wang Zibo’s expression became unnatural. He leaned in awkwardly and whispered a few words into Gu Yifan’s ear.

After listening, Gu Yifan’s expression became a sight to behold.

’”Water-chickens”?’

The term suddenly popped into his head.

In his past life, Gu Yifan had seen news reports about this sort of thing existing at the beach, but he never expected that his buddy Wang Zibo would actually run into one today!

Most importantly!

It was the middle of the damn day!

In broad daylight?

HSSS...

For a moment, Gu Yifan was inexplicably impressed.

”And then you got scared and came running back with your tail between your legs?” Gu Yifan shot him a sidelong glance and said flatly.

”Er...”

Wang Zibo looked embarrassed, his expression unnatural.

Because Gu Yifan had guessed right!

Having been single for all eighteen years of his life, when had he ever encountered a scene like that?!

When she’d pressed up against him just now, he’d almost came right then and there!

The scare sent him fleeing back in a blind panic.

Su Qinghe, who was sitting nearby, couldn’t understand their conversation. She tilted her head, watching them with a puzzled expression.

Seeing the curious look on her face, Gu Yifan said irritably, ”Su Hanhan, what are you spacing out for? Get back to work!”

”Oh, okay.”

Su Qinghe didn’t dare to eavesdrop any longer. She obediently went back to her feeding duties.

...

In the days that followed, Gu Yifan spent his idle time teasing Su Qinghe and messing with Wang Zibo.

「Three more days passed in a flash.」

On July 28th, Gu Yifan and the others began their journey home.

For one simple reason!

The class graduation dinner was the next day!

Gu Yifan hadn’t planned on attending, but his head teacher, Ye Xiangying, had called and specifically insisted that he be there!

She even said that if he, the top scorer of the college entrance exams, didn’t attend, the graduation dinner would feel incomplete!

With her putting it like that, Gu Yifan had no choice but to agree.

After all, Ye Xiangying had given him a lot of leeway when he’d skipped evening self-study sessions in the past.

’Mhm... That’s right!’

’It definitely wasn’t because he wanted to go and show off that he agreed!’

And just like that!

Riding the tail end of July, the trio of Gu Yifan, Su Qinghe, and Wang Zibo returned from Minnan to Mountain City.

「August 1st, 2:30 PM.」

Gu Yifan was half-sprawled on the sofa, watching TV while playing with Su Qinghe’s jade... er, her small foot, under the guise of giving her a massage.

Su Qinghe watched him with a peculiar expression.

She wasn’t an idiot. She’d known for a while that Gu Yifan just wanted to play with her feet!

But knowing was one thing; she still obediently offered up her little foot for him to play with.

’Still, this only confirmed it in her mind: Gu Yifan had a special thing for touching her feet!’

Just as Gu Yifan was getting into it,

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK—

A series of urgent knocks suddenly sounded, followed by the booming voice of that damn Wang Zibo.

”Brother Fan, Brother Fan, hurry and open up!”

Startled by the voice, Su Qinghe, who was in the living room, snatched her foot back from Gu Yifan’s lap like a frightened little rabbit.

His hands suddenly empty, Gu Yifan first glanced at the blushing Su Qinghe before getting up with a dark expression and heading for the door.

CLICK~

The door opened to reveal Wang Zibo’s chubby face, which was now as dark as charcoal. He’d always been tan, but he wasn’t *this* dark before. All that time at the beach had made him even darker!

”It’s so hot!”

Wang Zibo started to walk in, only to find Gu Yifan blocking the doorway.

”Uh...”

He faltered for a moment, then said, ”Brother Fan, what’s up with you? It’s scorching out here. Just let me in so I can cool down!”

As he spoke, he squeezed past Gu Yifan and slipped inside.

’Yup... it’s confirmed.’

’He’s an agile fatty.’

Seeing him already inside, Gu Yifan didn’t try to stop him further. He closed the door and turned back toward the living room.

”Hey, Sis-in-law!”

Wang Zibo grinned at Su Qinghe.

”Hello,”

Su Qinghe nodded and replied softly.

Over the past few weeks, Su Qinghe had grown used to Wang Zibo calling her ’Sis-in-law’ all the time, and she could now manage it without blushing.

Then, making himself completely at home, Wang Zibo poured himself a cup of tea from the pot on the table and started eating the grapes there as well.

”Zibo, you damn mutt, you’re always running over here. Are you that bored that you have nothing better to do?” Gu Yifan said irritably. ”Didn’t you get enough of our PDA on the trip? You came over for another dose, is that it?”

”...”

Wang Zibo froze, a grape halfway to his mouth. He seemed to recall something terrifying, and his dark-tanned face turned pale.

’Dammit!’

’He already regretted going on vacation with Gu Yifan and his girlfriend!’

’Half a month!’

’An entire half a month!’

’For a whole half a month, he’d been force-fed a diet of Gu Yifan and Su Qinghe’s constant PDA!’

’The day he got back, he’d sworn an oath: until he found a girlfriend of his own, he would never, ever go out with just the two of them again!’

’Dammit!’

’Talk about bullying a single guy!’

’Waaaah...’

...

After returning from Minnan, it had taken Wang Zibo a full day to recover his spirits.

For one simple reason!

The after-effects of all that PDA were just too brutal!

”Haaaah...”

Wang Zibo took a deep breath, then looked at Gu Yifan with a bitter expression. ”So, should I go?”

”Go on!”

Gu Yifan said irritably, ”Go on, then. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out!”

Wang Zibo: ”...”

In the end, Wang Zibo didn’t leave.

’It was hot enough to kill a man outside, and the air conditioning felt amazing. Leaving was impossible. He wouldn’t leave even if they beat him to death!’

With Wang Zibo present, Gu Yifan naturally couldn’t continue touching... oh, right, continue *massaging* Su Qinghe’s feet.

This made everything about Wang Zibo incredibly annoying to Gu Yifan.
