Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 177: Chapter 177: Fanatic Fan? Gu Yifan Refuses to Be a Shit-stirrer

”He... he keeps looking at you,”

Su Qinghe said in a small voice.

”Hm?”

Hearing this, Gu Yifan glanced to the side. When the guy saw Gu Yifan looking at him, he quickly averted his gaze and went back to shoveling rice from his bowl.

Gu Yifan couldn’t help but frown slightly at the sight, but he didn’t say anything.

He turned back to Su Qinghe and said, ”Hurry up and eat. Just ignore him.”

”Oh, okay.”

Su Qinghe nodded obediently, but she still cast a strange glance at the guy before looking away and paying him no more mind.

「A little while later.」

Gu Yifan felt the guy next to them staring at him again, and a wave of annoyance washed over him.

So, he put down his chopsticks, turned to face the guy, and asked expressionlessly, ”Hey, classmate. You need something?”

”Huh?”

”No, nothing...”

”Hehehe...”

The guy, who had been pretending to eat with his head down, panicked and waved his hands, laughing awkwardly.

Gu Yifan: ”...”

The guy’s words left Gu Yifan speechless.

’Damn it, you keep staring at me and then say it’s nothing?’

’Do you think I’m blind?!’

Gu Yifan couldn’t be bothered with him anymore. After all, the guy was just staring, not doing anything too out of line.

However!

He couldn’t eat another bite. Damn it, being stared at by some guy who might be a troublemaker—or worse—was enough to make anyone lose their appetite.

’Damn it, I can’t believe I got targeted by a gay dude on my very first day at Jinda University!’

’Jinda University really knows how to give a guy a big surprise!’ Gu Yifan thought, exasperated.

Shaking his head helplessly, he turned to Su Qinghe and said, ”Hanhan, are you full? If you are, let’s get going.”

”Mhm, I’m full,”

Su Qinghe nodded.

With that, the two of them prepared to get up and leave.

Just then.

”Wait... wait a second.”

The suspected troublemaker suddenly called out, stopping them.

”Hm?”

Gu Yifan’s brows furrowed. He turned to look at the guy and said coldly, ”What do you want?”

”Uh...”

Noticing Gu Yifan’s cold tone, He Dongdong quickly asked, ”Classmate, are you Gu Yifan?”

”?”

Hearing this, Gu Yifan’s frown deepened.

”Sorry, classmate, I don’t mean anything by it. I just wanted to confirm,”

He Dongdong hurriedly explained, seeing Gu Yifan frowning with a displeased look on his face.

”Yes, I am!”

Gu Yifan nodded and said flatly, ”Why? You need something?”

When Gu Yifan confirmed it, He Dongdong’s eyes lit up!

He excitedly grabbed Gu Yifan’s hand and exclaimed in delight, ”Brother Fan, Brother Fan! I thought it was you, but I didn’t dare to say anything in case I was wrong!”

”??????”

The guy’s sudden action left both Gu Yifan and Su Qinghe completely dumbfounded.

With a slight exertion of force, Gu Yifan shook off He Dongdong’s grip.

”Hey, classmate, who are you?”

His expression darkened as he said, exasperated, ”Do I know you?”

”Uh...”

He Dongdong came to his senses, realizing his actions had been a bit rash.

He squirmed awkwardly. ”Um... Brother Fan, my name is He Dongdong! I’m a loyal fan of yours!”

”...”

”He Dongdong? A loyal fan??”

Gu Yifan was baffled.

He racked his brains, searching his memory, but couldn’t place the name at all.

’No!’

’What is all this nonsense???’

”Brother Fan, I came to Jinling University just for you!”

He Dongdong continued.

”Huh???”

Gu Yifan’s eyes widened. ’Damn it, the more he talks, the weirder this sounds!’

”Hold on!”

”What do you mean you came to Jinling University for me?!” Gu Yifan was at a loss for words. He quickly tried to distance himself. ”Damn it, I don’t even know you! And! I’m not gay!”

”Gay...?”

He Dongdong looked completely lost.

Suddenly!

He seemed to realize something and shouted, ”HOLY SHIT!”

”Brother Fan, I’m not a gay dude!”

His voice was so loud that everyone eating nearby couldn’t help but turn and stare in their direction.

The muscular jocks, in particular, all had their eyes light up, their gazes filled with a hint of ambiguous interest!

’A gay dude?’

’Sounds like I just heard something juicy!’

Noticing the strange looks from the crowd, Gu Yifan’s expression darkened even further.

He pulled up a still-confused Su Qinghe and left without looking back.

Leaving He Dongdong standing there alone in a state of disarray...

...

「At the tail end of August,」 the leaves of the plane trees lining the paths of Jinling University were still a vibrant green, with only the slightest hint of yellow at their tips.

”Who was that guy just now?”

Su Qinghe asked curiously.

”Uh...”

Gu Yifan paused for a moment, then said helplessly, ”Would you believe me if I said I don’t know either?”

”I believe you.”

Su Qinghe nodded earnestly.

”Yeah... I have no idea where that guy came from. He acted like a lunatic, and he knew who I was.”

”But I have absolutely no memory of him,”

Gu Yifan said, exasperated.

After thinking for a moment, he added, ”Forget it. Let’s not waste time on an idiot. If you see him again, just make sure to steer clear.”

”Okay.”

Su Qinghe nodded obediently.

”Alright... go back and freshen up. I’ll walk you to your classroom for the class meeting in a bit,”

Gu Yifan said.

That was right!

Although he and Su Qinghe were both in the School of Economics and Management, Gu Yifan had enrolled in Finance, while Su Qinghe was in Financial Management.

Gu Yifan was the one who helped her choose the Financial Management major!

There was a simple reason!

He wanted her to take charge of Yihe Technology’s finances right after graduation.

Yihe Technology might just be a small startup now, but Gu Yifan was confident that once ”Madou Live” was released, it would take less than a year for the company to firmly establish itself in the market and then rise rapidly!

At that point, the amount of money flowing through the company’s accounts would get larger and larger.

Therefore, the company’s finances needed to be handled by someone he could trust.

And Su Qinghe was, without a doubt, the best candidate.

Of course, this didn’t mean she’d have to be at the company staring at the books all day.

It was more about ensuring she could understand the company’s accounts. After all, if you don’t understand that stuff, you could end up happily counting money for someone who’s just hollowed out your company!

As for gaining experience in financial management, she could just practice with their own ready-made company. It wouldn’t take long for her to get the hang of it.

Besides!

Don’t be fooled by Su Qinghe’s goofy, Hanhan-like appearance. You can’t forget she’s also a top student!

So, there was no need to worry about any of this.

...

「Evening, 7:00 PM sharp.」

The sky hadn’t completely darkened yet. Gu Yifan first walked Su Qinghe to the Zhi Xing Building, where her class meeting was, before strolling leisurely toward the Shuhua Building for his own, a cigarette dangling from his lips.

”Brother Fan~!”

A voice suddenly called out from behind him.

Gu Yifan froze. With the cigarette still in his mouth, he glanced back, and his whole mood instantly soured...
