Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 162: Chapter 162: Secretary Su Is Online? Gu Yifan: Let the Secretary Handle It

「3:30 in the afternoon.」

Gu Yifan drove Su Qinghe to a commercial plaza near the Jinling University district.

「Half an hour later.」

Su Qinghe stared at her reflection in the mirror, her expression complicated. She was dressed in professional office attire, complete with black stockings and high heels.

Gu Yifan, on the other hand, stood to the side, smiling as he admired this side of Su Qinghe he had never seen before.

’Black stockings with a hip-hugging skirt... what an unbeatable combination!’

”Do... Do I really have to wear this?”

Su Qinghe’s face was scarlet as she looked at Gu Yifan and whispered, deeply embarrassed.

”You do!”

”From now on, you’re my exclusive little secretary!”

Gu Yifan said, a teasing smirk on his face.

Su Qinghe was utterly exasperated.

A phrase Gu Yifan had seen online in his past life suddenly popped into his head. He leaned close to Su Qinghe’s ear and whispered, ”Su Hanhan, have you ever heard this saying? Hmm... ’When there’s work to do, the secretary does the work. When there’s no work to do... you do the secretary!’”

”?????”

WHOOSH—Su Qinghe’s face instantly turned beet red!

She shyly lowered her head, thinking helplessly, ’This stinking Big Bully is teasing me again!’

Just as the atmosphere was growing a little ambiguous, a saleswoman from the clothing store walked over carrying a suit.

She smiled at Gu Yifan and said, ”Mr. Gu, the suit has been altered to your height. Please try it on again. If there are any other issues, we can adjust it for you.”

”Alright.”

Gu Yifan nodded, took the suit from her, and went into the fitting room to try it on again.

「A few minutes later.」

Gu Yifan looked at his reflection in the fitting room mirror and nodded in satisfaction.

He had to admit, now that it was altered to his exact height, the suit fit him perfectly.

After admiring himself for a moment, he walked out of the fitting room.

The moment he stepped out, everyone present stared with wide eyes.

The well-tailored casual suit, combined with his incredibly handsome face, made him look like a Prince Charming straight out of a comic book!

If Gu Yifan agreed, they would be more than willing to become the white horse beneath him!

Even Su Qinghe, who was standing to the side, found her beautiful eyes sparkling as she looked at the dashing Gu Yifan.

’This Big Bully is actually really handsome!’ she thought to herself.

Gu Yifan chose to completely ignore the flirtatious glances from the saleswomen.

He turned to Su Qinghe with a slight smile and said, ”Secretary Su, come over here.”

Hearing Gu Yifan call her Secretary Su in public, Su Qinghe immediately remembered what he had just said.

Her face turned red once again!

’He’s doing it on purpose!’

’This Big Bully is definitely doing it on purpose!’

She pouted and reluctantly walked to Gu Yifan’s side.

Gu Yifan ignored her aggrieved little expression. Looking at the two of them in the mirror, he saw the perfect image of a domineering CEO and his sweet little secretary!

Nodding in satisfaction, he turned to the saleswoman—who stood with her legs pressed tightly together, her face an unusual shade of flushed red—and said coolly, ”Alright, we’ll take these two outfits. Get me two more sets in the same style, then ring me up.”

”Hm?”

Hearing this, the saleswoman, who was already flustered by his god-like looks, felt her eyes light up instantly!

She hurriedly said, ”Yes, of course! I’ll go arrange that for you right now!”

”Oh, right!”

Gu Yifan suddenly remembered something. He pointed at the black stockings on Su Qinghe’s legs and said nonchalantly, ”The quality of these stockings is no good. They rip too easily. Add a few more pairs to the bill.”

”Huh?”

The saleswoman froze for a second.

’The quality is no good, but he wants more pairs???’

But!

As a seasoned veteran, she suddenly understood Gu Yifan’s point—*they rip too easily*!

In an instant, countless scenarios played out in her mind.

’I didn’t expect this handsome guy to have such wild tastes!’

She gave Gu Yifan and Su Qinghe a long, meaningful look, then nodded quickly. ”Of course, Mr. Gu. Please wait a moment. I’ll get that arranged for you right away!”

”Mm.”

Gu Yifan didn’t say much, just gave a faint nod.

Seeing this, the young woman didn’t dawdle. She immediately turned and hurried off on her somewhat unsteady legs to make the arrangements!

The reason was simple!

He was a major client!

Her commission from the few outfits Gu Yifan had just requested would be more than her usual monthly salary!

After the saleswoman had walked away, Su Qinghe gently tugged on Gu Yifan’s sleeve and whispered, ”Their stockings aren’t good quality. I still have some, so you don’t really need to buy more...”

”It’s fine!”

”Yours don’t rip. These are better!”

”Stock up. You’ll need them!”

Gu Yifan glanced at her and said coolly.

Su Qinghe: ”?????”

...

「Meanwhile, in a commercial office building in the CBD of Jinling’s City District.」

Wang Shouren, dressed in a sharp suit, sat anxiously in the vice general manager’s office.

He stared out at the few employees in their cubicles, who were CLACK-CLACK-CLACKING away at their keyboards, his expression incredibly complicated!

This had been going on for nearly a month now!

Speaking of which, he didn’t even know how to describe what he was feeling!

A mysterious boss had found him through an industry headhunting firm and offered him a seven-figure annual salary to jump ship to a company called Yihe Technology Co., Ltd.!

At the time, he was being pushed out at his old company and felt completely unfulfilled. Lured by the high salary, he’d resigned and made the switch in a moment of impulse.

But when he arrived, he was completely baffled!

The entire company consisted of just him and the cleaning lady...

He was extremely uneasy, feeling as though he’d boarded a pirate ship!

Fortunately, the mysterious boss had called him a few times. Showing immense trust, the boss transferred several million yuan to him, first to rent an entire floor of an office building, and then to hire some experienced IT staff.

As for what business to pursue, the mysterious boss didn’t tell him, only saying he should assess the situation and make arrangements himself for the time being.

And with that, the mysterious boss vanished again!

If last month’s employee salaries hadn’t been deposited into the company account on time, he would have thought his mysterious boss had skipped town!

But if things continued like this, he couldn’t accept his salary with a clear conscience!

So, he used his previous industry connections to take on a few small projects.

He had no choice. It wasn’t like he wanted to do this.

But with his mysterious boss gone and no instructions given, he didn’t dare take on any major projects!

If something went wrong, he’d probably lose everything he owned, down to his last pair of underwear, and it still wouldn’t be enough to cover the damages!

After thinking for a long time, he decided that things really couldn’t go on like this!

’Doing nothing but supporting all these people... no amount of money is enough to keep burning through!’

After hesitating again and again, he finally took out his phone and dialed the number of his mysterious boss...
