Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 194: Chapter 194: College Life is Pretty Good

Truth or Dare...

’This game seems pretty interesting!’

After hearing the rules, all the girls’ eyes lit up.

And so, they all agreed to play.

They decided to get right to it!

After having the waitress clear away the empty plates.

Amidst everyone’s anticipation, Peng Shaoqiang began to spin the bottle of fate.

”WHIRRRR...”

The bottle spun rapidly on the tabletop, and everyone couldn’t help but grow tense.

Of course!

With the exception of Gu Yifan.

After all, he’d played this game countless times in his past life.

The novelty had long since worn off.

Besides, with his current tolerance for alcohol, he didn’t care if the bottle landed on him. He’d just drink!

In any case, everyone there combined couldn’t come close to out-drinking him.

So he wasn’t the least bit fazed.

Su Qinghe didn’t drink and hadn’t planned on playing, but everyone insisted it was fine. If she had to drink, Gu Yifan would just take her turn.

And so, Su Qinghe joined the game.

”CLINK~”

The bottle slowly came to a stop, its mouth pointing directly at Chu Xiaomeng.

”Whoa~”

”Xiaomeng, you’re the lucky one for the first round!”

”Quick, ask her! Truth or Dare!”

...

Everyone hooted and hollered.

”Huh?”

Chu Xiaomeng looked completely lost.

”Hmm... Since I was the one who spun the bottle the first time, I’ll be the one to ask. Classmate Xiaomeng, are you ready?”

Peng Shaoqiang asked, looking at Chu Xiaomeng with a smile.

”I... I... I guess I’m ready?”

Peng Shaoqiang completely ignored the uncertainty in her voice and said, ”Let’s go with something simple, then. Truth!”

”Classmate Xiaomeng, among the guys here, who do you think is the most handsome?”

”Ooooh!!”

”That’s so easy!”

”Yeah, Young Master Peng, isn’t your question a bit too simple?!”

”Young Master Peng, you’re asking such a simple question. Tell us, do you have a crush on our Xiaomeng?”

...

A gaggle of girls complained that the question was too simple and not exciting enough.

It couldn’t be helped!

Obviously, this was a giveaway question!

There were only four guys present. When it came to good looks, besides Gu Yifan, none of them would dare claim to be more handsome than him!

”Huh?”

Chu Xiaomeng, on the other hand, looked dazed. She subconsciously glanced in Gu Yifan’s direction.

The simple and honest girl’s face flushed beet-red as she mumbled, ”Classmate... Classmate Gu, I guess.”

”Ooooooh!!!”

”Xiaomeng, it looks like you’re still carrying a torch for him!”

”Yeah, Xiaomeng, Qinghe is still here!”

”Aren’t your intentions a little too obvious?!”

...

The group of girls started teasing her again.

Their words made the blush on Chu Xiaomeng’s face turn even redder! 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

She was so shy, she looked like she wanted to shrink her head into her shoulders!

”Alright, alright, Classmate Xiaomeng has answered the question. Shall we continue?”

”This time, it’s Classmate Xiaomeng’s turn to spin the bottle and ask the question!”

Seeing this, the instigator of the game, Peng Shaoqiang, quickly stepped in to smooth things over.

The subject was successfully changed.

At his words, everyone began to look forward to the next victim... er, the next lucky winner!

The tension in the air began to build once more.

...

As everyone watched, the bottle slowly came to a halt.

This time, it was pointing at Bao Baijie.

”It’s Baijie!”

”Come on, Xiaomeng, ask your question!”

The girls urged enthusiastically.

Bao Baijie was a little surprised, but she accepted her fate with grace.

However, being the simple soul she was, Chu Xiaomeng didn’t ask a tricky question. She just asked what Bao Baijie’s impression of everyone was.

Bao Baijie naturally answered honestly as well.

Everyone was rather dissatisfied with the first two questions!

They all clamored that no matter who was next, they had to be asked something more exciting!

...

The game went on, the food stall echoing with everyone’s laughter and boisterous cheers. It drew the attention of some boys from Jinling University eating at a nearby table, who looked over with surprise, but mostly with envy.

Because!

There were so many girls!

And the atmosphere was just too good, wasn’t it?!

’Man, I wish we could join in!’

The game continued!

The group played until eleven-thirty that night before finally calling it a day.

If everyone hadn’t remembered they had military training the next day, the high-spirited group probably would have kept the game going until dawn.

The questions grew progressively trickier and more daring.

Especially the dares!

The girls, who had never played anything like this, found it incredibly thrilling and fun.

During this time, Gu Yifan and Su Qinghe were also chosen a few times, but Gu Yifan successfully dodged them all by choosing to drink.

This drew protests from the crowd, but there was nothing they could do about it.

After all, none of them could hold their liquor like Gu Yifan.

...

「Midnight.」

Gu Yifan, Peng Shaoqiang, and the other guys safely escorted the girls back to their dormitory.

Gu Yifan was completely unaffected, and Su Qinghe, having not touched a drop of alcohol, was perfectly fine as well.

As for the other three, Peng Shaoqiang was still very sober, feeling just a little buzzed at most.

It couldn’t be helped!

The guy was a veteran of drinking games. Aside from the initial onslaught from the girls that he couldn’t escape, he had barely lost a single round once the game started. So, of course, he was perfectly fine.

On the other hand, He Dongdong and Wang Shouyi, two rookies at the drinking table, didn’t know any better. They just kept going hard and drinking, so it was only natural they got drunk.

”Young Master Peng, I’ll see you guys off here!”

”You should keep an eye on those two.”

At the entrance to the men’s dormitory, Gu Yifan looked at the tipsy He Dongdong and Wang Shouyi and told the still-sober Peng Shaoqiang to keep an eye on them.

Peng Shaoqiang patted his chest and told him to rest assured, that he would definitely look after Wang Shouyi and He Dongdong.

Seeing that he was still sober, Gu Yifan didn’t say anything more.

After watching them walk into the dormitory, Gu Yifan finally looked away.

”Hanhan, let’s go back, too.”

He turned his head and spoke softly to Su Qinghe beside him.

”Mhm~”

Su Qinghe nodded obediently, then held out her small hand.

Gu Yifan was stunned for a moment, then he understood what she meant.

He smiled faintly and gently took Su Qinghe’s soft little hand.

”Let’s go home.”

Afterward, with their fingers intertwined, the two of them slowly walked towards the detached courtyard house behind the faculty dormitory.

As for Gu Yifan’s car, he obviously hadn’t driven it since he’d been drinking.

He’d have to wait until after military training tomorrow to go pick it up.

...

After returning to the small courtyard house, Gu Yifan told Su Qinghe to go take a shower first.

He, on the other hand, lit a cigarette and stood on the second-floor balcony of the courtyard house, enjoying the gentle night breeze while gazing thoughtfully at the somewhat deserted campus under the dim yellow streetlights in the distance.

Half the smoke from the cigarette between his fingers was carried away by the night wind, its glowing scarlet tip flickering in the darkness.

”INHALE...”

”EXHALE...”

He lowered his head and took a deep drag from the cigarette, then slowly exhaled. The pale white smoke curled upwards, quickly disappearing into the air.

Suddenly, Gu Yifan smiled faintly and muttered to himself,

”College life is pretty good.”
