Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 183: Chapter 183: Leisure Before Military Training, Su Hanhan: I Do

Seeing a crowd of people swarming down the stairwell, Gu Yifan waited for them to thin out a bit before heading up.

”Classroom 305... Why is it 305 again...”

Gu Yifan muttered to himself as he walked up the stairs.

”Whoa~”

”Girls, quick, look!”

”That guy is so handsome. What class is he in?”

”Whoa... He’s seriously handsome!”

”That face, I’m in love!”

”Girls, I really want to go ask for his number!”

...

A group of girls he passed pointed at Gu Yifan and whispered among themselves.

However, Gu Yifan was currently pondering the number 305 and didn’t notice any of it.

Two and a half minutes later.

Gu Yifan arrived at the entrance of Classroom 305.

The classroom was almost empty. At the lectern, a middle-aged male teacher was explaining something to a few students.

In the back row, Su Qinghe sat all alone, spacing out.

She looked a little dorky and silly, which was incredibly cute.

Gu Yifan smiled faintly and walked straight toward her from the back door of the classroom.

”Hanhan, what are you thinking about?”

His voice suddenly rang out by Su Qinghe’s ear.

”Ahh~!”

Su Qinghe jumped in surprise.

Her cry of surprise caught the attention of the people at the lectern, and they looked over in her direction.

Su Qinghe’s face turned slightly red. Gu Yifan quickly apologized to the group at the lectern, then pulled her out of the classroom.

The people at the lectern looked on, completely baffled, but seeing that it was nothing serious, they turned back and continued their conversation.

”S-Sorry.”

Outside in the hallway, Su Qinghe said softly, a little embarrassed.

”It’s fine. Let’s go!”

Gu Yifan ruffled her hair and spoke softly.

”Mhm.”

Su Qinghe nodded obediently.

Then, the two of them walked down the stairs, hand in hand.

There were still quite a few people just leaving their classrooms, and when they saw the pair, they were all stunned by their good looks.

But when they saw them holding hands, clearly a couple, they gave up on any ideas.

Gu Yifan paid no mind to the others’ gazes, calmly leading Su Qinghe by the hand as they walked.

Soon, they were at the bottom of the stairs.

”Su Hanhan, how did you feel about your first class meeting for the new semester?”

”Did you feel out of place?”

Gu Yifan asked casually as they walked along a campus path.

”Hm?”

Su Qinghe paused, tilting her head as she thought seriously before replying, ”It... It was okay. The other students are all pretty friendly.”

”I also made a new friend. Just now, she saw it was getting late and the path back to the dorm was a bit dark. She was worried I wouldn’t be safe, so she asked me to walk back with them.”

”Oh?”

Gu Yifan was slightly surprised.

”Well, she sounds pretty nice. We should treat her to a meal with you sometime.”

He chuckled.

”Mhm.”

Su Qinghe nodded with a sweet smile.

...

「Two days passed in a flash.」

During those two days, Gu Yifan spent his time with Su Qinghe, wandering around campus to familiarize themselves with the environment. They would occasionally go to the library to read, living a very relaxed and leisurely life.

In their detached villa, Gu Yifan sat on a recliner, sipping tea while reading a copy of *How to Win Friends and Influence People*.

After two days of them constantly adding things to the villa, the two-and-a-half-story house was starting to feel more lively and a bit more like a home.

At that moment, Su Qinghe, wearing an apron, was washing vegetables at the sink in the courtyard.

”Su Hanhan, what delicious things are you making tonight?”

Casually tossing the book onto the coffee table, Gu Yifan got up and walked over to Su Qinghe, asking with a smile.

That’s right!

On the second day of the semester, Su Qinghe noticed that Gu Yifan wasn’t fond of the cafeteria food. So, she had him take her to a supermarket off-campus, where they bought a lot of groceries to stock the fridge. For the past two days, she had been the one cooking for him.

Now, they no longer had to eat the terrible food at the school cafeteria. Every day, Su Qinghe would come up with a variety of different dishes for him to eat.

After being fed by Su Qinghe for two days, Gu Yifan’s palate had become quite spoiled.

Hearing Gu Yifan’s question, Su Qinghe turned to look at him and said softly, ”Swimmer crab in soy sauce, lychee pork, bitter melon and pearl barley stew, and some green vegetables.”

”Er...”

Gu Yifan froze for a moment, then said with a pained expression, ”Bitter melon again?”

Su Qinghe glanced at him and explained quietly, ”The... the weather’s too hot, and you’ve been a bit ’heaty’ lately. Bitter melon can help cool you down...”

Hearing her explanation, Gu Yifan’s expression soured. ’I shouldn’t have said anything yesterday!’

Besides!

’What I really want to say is, don’t you know why I’m so ’heaty,’ you silly girl?’

Because she wasn’t used to sleeping alone in the new environment, Gu Yifan had been holding her to sleep every night for the past two days!

And when they slept, it was *just* sleeping. Nothing else happened. He was a hot-blooded young man, after all! A beauty in his arms that he could look at but couldn’t touch—how could he *not* be worked up?!

’In a situation like this, even the Buddha himself would probably break out in pimples!’

But Gu Yifan was too embarrassed to say any of this to Su Qinghe.

The girl looked at him all day with that innocent, dorky expression; he just couldn’t bring himself to make a move!

’Forget it!’

’I’ll just wait a bit longer.’

’I’ll wait until she’s a little more used to the new environment!’

Gu Yifan thought with a sense of resignation.

”Well...”

He shook his head helplessly. ”Alright!”

”Is there anything I can help with?” Gu Yifan thought for a moment and asked.

”N-No, it’s fine. I can manage by myself.”

Su Qinghe gently shook her head and said softly, ”You go sit over there. I’ll be done soon.”

It was happening again.

Every time he asked if she needed help, Su Qinghe would always say she could handle it herself.

For the past two days, he’d been like a king, just sitting around waiting to be fed.

”Su Hanhan!”

”Hm?”

After pouring out the water, Su Qinghe turned her head and looked at Gu Yifan with confusion, asking softly, ”Wh-What’s wrong?”

”You don’t let me do anything. Aren’t you afraid of spoiling me until I get lazier and lazier and turn into a good-for-nothing?”

Gu Yifan said helplessly.

”Huh?”

Su Qinghe hadn’t expected him to say that. She was a bit baffled.

After processing it, she gently shook her head and said, ”You wouldn’t.”

”Hm?”

Gu Yifan frowned, not quite understanding if she meant he wouldn’t get lazy or that he didn’t know how to cook.

Seeing his expression, Su Qinghe thought for a moment before adding, ”E-Even if you did become a good-for-nothing, it wouldn’t matter. I’m happy to do these things.”

Gu Yifan: ”...”
