Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 172: Chapter 172: Su Hanhan, Be My Girlfriend

Seeing that he was about to make Su Qinghe cry, Gu Yifan knew he had gone too far.

”Alright, alright, don’t be upset. I don’t need you to take responsibility for me. Is that better?” he said helplessly.

”...”

Su Qinghe didn’t speak. She just shook her head gently, her pitiful expression a sight that would stir pity in anyone’s heart.

Seeing she still wasn’t talking, Gu Yifan decided to bring out the big guns.

He walked over to Su Qinghe step by step, and before she could react, he leaned in and pressed his lips against hers.

”Mmmph—”

Caught completely off guard, Su Qinghe’s body instantly went rigid. She was completely stunned.

Her eyes flew wide, as if she wanted to say something, but her mouth was sealed by his.

Gu Yifan gently parted her teeth, and Su Qinghe’s body immediately went soft.

...

「Ten minutes later.」

Gu Yifan noticed Su Qinghe was running out of breath and reluctantly let her go, as if he hadn’t had nearly enough.

”HUFF... HUFF...”

Su Qinghe’s face was beet red as she gasped for air.

’Just now, I felt that if Gu Yifan had held on for even a few more seconds, I probably would’ve passed out.’

’If I’d really fainted, that would have been so embarrassing. I’d probably go down in history as the first person to be kissed until they passed out!’

Gu Yifan didn’t say anything, just watched her with a smile playing on his lips, his gaze fixed on her slightly swollen lips.

’They really are soft, though.’

Feeling his searing gaze, the blush on Su Qinghe’s face deepened a few shades.

She couldn’t help but shyly lower her head, trying to shrink it into her collar.

”You... you bullied me again.”

Su Qinghe mumbled, her head still lowered, sounding aggrieved.

This time, Gu Yifan didn’t argue.

After all, he had just kissed her. Her slightly swollen lips were the best evidence. He really had ”bullied” her; there was no denying that.

But before he kissed her, he had already thought it through and made up his mind.

They’d kissed, they’d hugged, they’d even slept in the same bed, and now he’d even seen her naked.

Their relationship truly needed a clear definition.

Even though that damn system kept reminding him that the affection level was still 1% short, Gu Yifan couldn’t be bothered with it anymore.

After all, dragging this on any longer would be too unfair to Su Qinghe.

He had to give Su Qinghe a proper title and give himself a reason to keep her by his side forever.

”Su Hanhan, be my girlfriend.”

Gu Yifan said softly, his voice gentle as he looked at Su Qinghe.

The moment the words left his mouth, Su Qinghe froze.

At that moment, she forgot all her shyness, her eyes wide with disbelief as she stared at Gu Yifan.

’My face is burning up. If this keeps up, I might actually cook myself.’

With a serious expression, Gu Yifan repeated, ”Su Hanhan, be my girlfriend.”

”I... I...”

Su Qinghe covered her face with her hands, looking completely flustered.

She truly hadn’t expected Gu Yifan to say this to her at a time like this. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ

THUMP-THUMP—THUMP-THUMP—

Faced with Gu Yifan’s confession, her heart began to race, pounding like a frightened deer trapped in her chest.

’What a silly Hanhan.’

Gu Yifan gently pulled her hands away from her face and looked at her with gentle eyes.

Originally, after she had rejected him last time, Gu Yifan hadn’t planned on confessing to her again so soon.

The interval was just too short, and such a hasty confession might seem unreliable.

Also, Gu Yifan had originally wanted to wait until their affection level reached a perfect 200%, then find the right opportunity to give her a formal, grand, romantic confession ceremony.

But today’s sudden turn of events had completely disrupted his original plans.

It also made him more certain of his own heart.

That is—he liked Su Qinghe. Of that, there was no doubt.

After all, who wouldn’t love such a silly, precious girl?

But maybe this was for the best. Although it was a bit rushed, perhaps it would be easier for Su Qinghe to accept this way.

After all, this Hanhan had a bit of natural social anxiety. A crowd would only make her more nervous.

”Su Hanhan, I’ve been thinking for a long time, and I’m sure of it now. I like you, there’s no doubt about it!”

”So, will you be my girlfriend?”

Gu Yifan asked, his voice soft and gentle, his eyes full of deep affection as he looked at her.

”I... I...”

Faced with Gu Yifan’s gentle confession, Su Qinghe was so nervous she was at a complete loss, even starting to stutter.

Gu Yifan didn’t rush her. He reached out and stroked her head, saying gently, ”Hey, don’t be nervous. Take your time, think it over, and then give me your answer.”

Hearing Gu Yifan’s voice, as gentle as flowing water, Su Qinghe felt her heart was about to melt.

’Actually... this ”Big Bully” is quite gentle when he’s not being mean to me or bullying me,’ she thought.

But she was still worried that Gu Yifan was just being impulsive, worried that he might regret it later.

Because she knew that Han Ning still stood between her and Gu Yifan.

Even though Gu Yifan always called her Su Hanhan, she wasn’t actually clueless about everything.

So, she hesitated.

Gu Yifan could see Su Qinghe’s worries. He said softly, ”Silly girl, I know what you’re worried about, and I know what you’re afraid of. I don’t want to explain too much about the past, but I can tell you with absolute certainty that I like you, and you’re the only one I’ll like from now on.”

Hearing Gu Yifan’s words, Su Qinghe’s wavering heart became completely resolute.

’That’s right!’

’Even if someone else existed, would I ever leave him?’

’The answer is no!’

’So why am I overthinking things, being so scared and worried?’

’I never dared to ask for too much in the first place. I just wanted to be by his side quietly!’

And so, Su Qinghe didn’t hesitate any longer.

She slowly raised her head and met Gu Yifan’s gaze.

In that moment, their eyes saw only each other, with no room for anyone else.

”Silly Hanhan~”

Gu Yifan couldn’t resist pinching her cheek. He then smiled faintly and said, ”Don’t overthink it. My heart is very small. There’s only room for you, no one else.”

”Oh, oh...”

Su Qinghe nodded. After a moment’s hesitation, she asked in a small voice, ”So... will you still be mean to me... and bully me in the future?”

”Er...”

Seeing the serious look on her face, Gu Yifan’s expression faltered slightly.

He really hadn’t expected Su Qinghe to bring this up at such a romantic moment.

’What happened to letting bygones be bygones???’

’So!’

’Love really does fade, doesn’t it?!’

Gu Yifan thought, a bitter and helpless feeling in his heart.
