Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 184: Chapter 184: Gu Yifan: Your Classmate’s Name Sounds Pretty Badass

’What do you mean, it’s okay if I become useless!?’

Staring at Su Qinghe’s earnest expression, Gu Yifan was at a complete loss.

”Seriously, Su Hanhan, do you have any idea what you just said?”

Gu Yifan asked grimly.

”Huh?”

Su Qinghe looked completely bewildered.

Suddenly, it dawned on her.

Her face flushed red, and she mumbled shyly, ”I... I didn’t mean it like that. I meant to say...”

”Alright, you don’t have to explain. It’s fine!”

Gu Yifan cut her off with a wave of his hand. ”The water’s full. Go wash the vegetables!”

Hearing him, Su Qinghe glanced back and saw the sink was about to overflow. She scrambled to turn off the faucet.

Gu Yifan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry watching her fumble about.

...

「Evening, 6:50 PM.」

Gu Yifan stared helplessly at the massive bowl of white rice in front of him.

’This Su Hanhan must be terrified I won’t get enough to eat!’

Seeing Gu Yifan look at her, Su Qinghe blushed and whispered, ”I accidentally made too much...”

’Of course!’

’So that’s why! Yesterday the portion was normal, but today she’s feeding me like a pig!’

Gu Yifan shook his head but didn’t say anything more.

”Let’s eat.”

He said softly.

”Mhm.”

Su Qinghe nodded, and the two of them started eating.

He had to admit, Su Qinghe’s cooking was delicious—a feast for the senses!

’She really is a treasure of a girl, the perfect wife and mother type!’

Gu Yifan nodded in satisfaction.

Suddenly, he thought about the military training tomorrow and said, ”Oh, right, Hanhan, military training starts tomorrow. Do you want to go? If you’re afraid of the sun and don’t want to, we can skip it. The school mentioned an exemption for special admission students.”

”Let’s just go.”

Su Qinghe said after thinking it over seriously.

’The whole class is going. If I don’t, I’ll seem like I don’t fit in.’

Besides, it was just a little sun. She, Su Qinghe, had never been the delicate type, so she wasn’t afraid.

”Alright!”

Although Gu Yifan was a little surprised by her choice, he didn’t question it. He just nodded and said, ”If you’re going, then I’ll go too!”

If Su Qinghe was going, then of course he had to go. He wouldn’t feel right leaving this silly girl on her own.

...

「7:30 in the morning.」

”Hanhan, are you ready yet?”

Gu Yifan stood at the dining room entrance, shouting toward the bedroom where Su Qinghe was still doing who-knows-what.

”Co... coming!”

Su Qinghe’s voice came from the bedroom, and a moment later, she came rushing out in a panic, nearly tripping over herself.

”Whoa!”

Gu Yifan hurried over to steady her, a helpless look on his face. ”What’s the big rush?”

”We still have time. I was just calling for you, not rushing you!”

Su Qinghe’s face turned red as she whispered, ”I... I was just afraid of making you wait too long...”

Hearing this, Gu Yifan felt even more helpless.

”You really are a silly Hanhan!”

He couldn’t help but flick her on the forehead, chiding her playfully.

”Ow~!”

Su Qinghe cried out in pain, covering her forehead and whispering, ”That... hurt...”

”Oh.”

Gu Yifan replied unsympathetically.

Su Qinghe: ”...”

She pouted, a wronged look on her face.

”Alright, we have to go. If we don’t leave now, we’ll actually be late!”

Gu Yifan said, shaking his head helplessly.

”Oh, okay!”

Though still a little unhappy, Su Qinghe nodded and followed Gu Yifan out of the small courtyard.

”Hop in!”

Gu Yifan opened the passenger side door and turned to Su Qinghe.

”Mhm.”

Su Qinghe nodded, and with a little boost on her backside from Gu Yifan, she smoothly got into the car.

’Feels nice!’

Gu Yifan glanced down at his palm, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly.

He spoke very softly, so Su Qinghe didn’t hear him. Otherwise, she would have turned beet-red again.

With a small smile, Gu Yifan walked around to the driver’s side, opened the door, and got in.

First, he thoughtfully helped Su Qinghe with her seatbelt. Then he stepped on the gas, and with a roar of the engine, the car slowly pulled out of the yard and headed straight for the school’s athletic field.

Along the way, Gu Yifan kept the speed very low.

After all, they were on campus. You never knew when someone might pop out from nowhere, so it was better to be careful.

...

「7:50 AM.」

Gu Yifan and Su Qinghe arrived near the school’s athletic field. They found a place to park, then got out and slowly walked toward the field.

”Su Hanhan, you know where your class’s formation is, right?”

Gu Yifan asked as he handed Su Qinghe a few bottles of water from a bag.

”Mhm.”

Su Qinghe nodded. ”I saw it in the group chat.”

”Huh?”

Gu Yifan froze for a second, surprised. ”When did you join a group chat? How come I didn’t know?”

”It was... it was my classmate, Baijie, who added me to the class group.”

Su Qinghe glanced at Gu Yifan and explained quietly.

”?????”

Gu Yifan’s eyes went wide.

’Is that name for real!?’

”Wait, Hanhan, um... your classmate’s name is Baijie?”

Gu Yifan couldn’t help but ask.

”Huh?”

Su Qinghe was a little confused by his question, but she still answered obediently, ”Mhm, her name is Baijie, but her last name is Bao.”

”Her last name is Bao... Bao Baijie????”

’That... that sounds even lewder!’

Gu Yifan was speechless for a moment.

Seeing Gu Yifan’s strange reaction, Su Qinghe asked quietly in confusion, ”Is... is something wrong?”

”Uh...”

Gu Yifan looked at the innocent Su Qinghe, not knowing how to explain.

He just shook his head and brushed it off. ”It’s nothing. Your classmate’s name just sounds pretty awesome!”

...-_-||

Gu Yifan’s comment left Su Qinghe at a loss for words.

’What does he mean, her name sounds awesome!?’

She gave Gu Yifan a strange look, really feeling the urge to pounce on him and bite him.

”Alright, it’s almost time for the military training assembly. My class’s group is in the open area by the academic building, so I’ll just drop you off here. I’ll come get you when you’re dismissed for lunch!”

Gu Yifan pretended to ignore Su Qinghe’s peculiar glare and changed the subject.

Her attention was successfully diverted.

She nodded. ”Mhm... You should go. It’s not good to be late.”

”Okay!”

Gu Yifan smiled, nodded, then pinched her cheek. ”Don’t forget to miss me~”

WHOOSH~

Gu Yifan’s words made Su Qinghe’s face instantly turn red. She looked just like a ripe peach, cute with a hint of alluring sexiness...
