Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 193: Chapter 193: Truth or Dare

”Er...”

Gu Yifan was also taken aback when he saw them.

’What are these three guys doing here?’ he wondered.

”Hey, should we go over and say hi?”

”I don’t know... Wouldn’t we be bothering Brother Fan?”

”But he’s already seen us. It’d be rude not to say hi, wouldn’t it?”

The three of them hesitated, conflicted.

BEEP BEEP... BEEP BEEP BEEP...

Just then, Peng Shaoqiang’s phone started ringing.

He took out his phone and saw it was a call from Gu Yifan.

”Er...”

He froze.

When he looked up, he saw Gu Yifan holding up his phone and waving it at him.

’Well, that settles it.’

’Looks like we’re going to be a bother whether we like it or not.’

...

”Hey, Brother Fan! Hey, sister-in-law!”

He Dongdong and his two friends gave Gu Yifan and Su Qinghe an awkward smile.

”H-hello.”

Su Qinghe’s face flushed slightly as she replied, flustered at being called ”sister-in-law.”

”What were you three doing, skulking around the entrance?”

Gu Yifan picked up his teacup, took a sip, and asked casually.

”Huh?”

The three of them were stunned.

’So Gu Yifan had seen them the whole time, while they were busy debating whether or not to come over and say hi...’

’How awkward!’

”Um... Old Fan, we came to grab a bite and were planning to have a few drinks!”

”We were going to ask you along, but we didn’t want to bother you and sister-in-law, so we didn’t. We just never expected to run into you here. What a coincidence,” Peng Shaoqiang explained.

”Oh.”

Gu Yifan glanced at him, then nodded.

’That makes sense.’

’He’d chosen this place on the spur of the moment. How would these three assholes know he was here?’

Just then, Bao Baijie and the others appeared at the entrance of the food court.

The girls had all changed their outfits and were wearing elaborate makeup.

It was clear they had taken the time to dress up before heading out.

’But that’s perfectly normal!’

’Girls like to look their best, after all!’

The group of girls spotted Gu Yifan and Su Qinghe and walked over.

They were a little surprised to see a few unfamiliar guys at the table, but they didn’t say anything.

”Sorry we’re late! Hope we didn’t keep you waiting long!” the girls said apologetically.

”Don’t worry about it, we just got here a little while ago ourselves,” Gu Yifan replied with a smile.

Meanwhile, Peng Shaoqiang and his friends’ eyes widened when they saw so many girls, and they suddenly grew a little tense.

”By the way, these three are my classmates. We just happened to run into each other. They’re eating with us tonight, do you ladies mind?”

”If you do, I’ll just tell them to scram!”

”Hahaha...”

Gu Yifan said, half-joking.

Peng Shaoqiang: ”...-_-||”

Wang Shouyi: ”...-_-||”

He Dongdong: ”...-_-||”

’Ohh~’

’So that’s what’s going on!’

It was only after hearing Gu Yifan’s explanation that the girls understood they were just classmates he had happened to meet.

”It’s no problem at all! Since it’s such a coincidence, you three handsome guys should join us. The more, the merrier! It’ll save us from having to watch you and Qinghe’s PDA all night!”

After the girls exchanged a look, Bao Baijie spoke up.

”Since the ladies don’t mind, let’s all eat together!” Gu Yifan said with a nod.

With that, he turned to Peng Shaoqiang’s group and said coolly, ”Hey, you three. What are you waiting for? Thank the ladies for letting you crash the party. And introduce yourselves while you’re at it!”

Snapping out of it, Peng Shaoqiang quickly piped up, ”Ladies, my name is Peng Shaoqiang. I’m in the same class as Old Fan!”

Seeing Wang Shouyi and He Dongdong looking flushed and nervous, he continued, ”This is Wang Shouyi—no, not the famous spice guy. And the other one is He Dongdong. We’re all in the same class!”

”Hi, I’m Bao Baijie, from Financial Management, Class 1. This is Chu Xiaomeng...”

After a round of introductions, everyone took their seats.

Luckily, the table Gu Yifan had chosen was large enough. Otherwise, with the sudden addition of Peng Shaoqiang and his two friends, they might not have all been able to fit.

With three extra people, Gu Yifan worried there wouldn’t be enough food, so he called the waitress back over and ordered a few more dishes.

”Um... I wasn’t sure what everyone likes, so I just ordered all of the restaurant’s specialties. Ladies, see if there’s anything else you’d like. I can just have the waitress add it to the order!” Gu Yifan announced to the table.

”Oh no, don’t order more! This is already more than enough. We’re worried we won’t be able to finish it all!” the girls quickly interjected, looking at the spread of food that already covered nearly the entire table.

They felt a little bad that Gu Yifan had ordered so much food.

’Even though they had joked about taking him for all he was worth, it was just that—a joke!’

’They were all students; they wouldn’t actually do something like that!’

”Alright then!”

Gu Yifan didn’t press the issue. He simply handed the menu to Peng Shaoqiang beside him and said casually, ”Here, take a look. Add whatever you guys want to eat or drink.”

”Oh, okay.”

Peng Shaoqiang took the menu without any hesitation.

He asked the girls if they wanted beer. A few shook their heads, but Bao Baijie and a tall girl in black-framed glasses said they’d have some.

Seeing this, Peng Shaoqiang didn’t press further. He ordered a few juices and then had the waiter bring over two cases of cold beer.

Once the drinks and beer arrived, everyone dug in.

As they ate, they all chatted casually, and the initial awkwardness quickly faded as they began to warm up to each other.

Especially after a few drinks, Peng Shaoqiang and his friends started to loosen up.

Unleashing his unique charm, he effortlessly cracked one joke after another, making all the girls roar with laughter.

Even the girls who had initially said they wouldn’t drink put down their sodas and switched to beer. The whole group started playing games.

Gu Yifan couldn’t help but smile as he watched the harmonious scene unfold.

’As expected!’

’A true social butterfly can make friends anywhere!’

After a few rounds of rock-paper-scissors, Peng Shaoqiang couldn’t handle the combined assault from the girls and quickly suggested they switch to a different game.

The girls, who were now in high spirits and had had a fair bit to drink (relatively speaking, of course—none of them had even finished half a bottle), readily agreed.

”Um... how about we play the most popular drinking game out there right now: Truth or Dare!” Peng Shaoqiang suggested after a moment’s thought.

”How do you play?”

None of the girls had played before, so they asked curiously.

”Okay... so we put a beer bottle on the table and spin it. Whoever the top points to has to take a penalty. They can choose ’Truth’ or ’Dare.’ Of course, if you don’t want to do either, you can drink instead—half a glass!” Peng Shaoqiang explained the rules to the group.
